AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, the Rom has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LAOS) we are now LAOS based with some tweaks from AOSP.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out or the LAOS team will if it concerns their code base. This rom isn't LAOS supported, so no need to report errors/bugs to them!!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look in the OP to see if your device is built on a nightly or weekly schedule.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. You will need to use the version arm64/arm/whatever for SDK 27.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the install instructions in the first post...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I dirty flash builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot", then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash, and then reboot.
Using the ROM:
Q. How do I enable software buttons?
A. Go to Aicp Extras/Navigation bar, and enable it.
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. I keep losing root with Magisk, how do I fix it?
A. Check this out. If that doesn't work for you, ask for help in this thread, read or ask in the Magisk thread on XDA or just re-flash Magisk!
Q. I'm having issues with WhatsApp, how do I fix it?
A. Read this
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
A2. If you are already rooted, you can use the built-in feature to make a logcat and provide that. Just look into the others section in the AICP Extras main page.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Oreo. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know it!)
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
3. Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
4. Flash the ROM Zipfile.
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work).
6. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
7. Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every OTA update (= ROM Update)
Currently Supported Root Solutions:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions higher than 14.0 doesn't require flash on every dirty flash depending on the deivce, some devices need you to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise it should be fine
KERNEL:
The kernel in this ROM is a customized one.
Device sources:
Kernel
Kenzo
msm8956-common
Kenzo vendor
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash using the built-in OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use the LAOS recovery and OTA app, but you will need to download the zip file and flash it manually from within your recovery. The Zipfile gets saved in the "aicp_ota" folder on your internal storage.
Please be sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery. Keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!

Add support goodix, many as Tesla by nikenitewolf with a patch. Please
Sorry for the bad english

Downloading now

bsod is kernel related. i got that on the strix rom after flashing latest agni kernel before that i used verson 2.0 version and never got black screen bug nor strange screen flickering.
now i use the latest tesla's rom with neon kernel, gapps by banks, cm14 firmware, super su, missing camera blobs fladhed works nice!! ui performace so fluid and i didnt get any bsod and works ambient didplay when you get notification. there are some others bugs so im going to check your build.
can we enable okay google for assistant? i always get a window asking me to set a voice model.

ROM is great. Smooth, fast and almost bug less.
Two of the problems are the absence of CM Theme engine and the circle battery. Unfortunately, these are the features broken from CM's side itself, so can't be helped.
VoLTE is the only feature that is not available.
Ps I am using the CM14 firmware with the modem and dsp flashed from Global Dev MIUI to avoid the only detection sim 1 problem.

Awesome! I loved AICP 11.0. Going to give this a go!

Nice work!.
I'm waiting until the battery styles and percentage is fixed tho.

are you maintener of crdroid rom too, vatsal?

Thank you very much for the effort of the rom but I found some bugs.
The camera does not work for me, when I entered it was blocked when I updated the phone, it did not progress, but it's great that a cell phone like this one gets to have an oreo.

How to flash:(Again: Don't do it if you don't know it!)
The root solution should be flashed together with every OTA update (= ROM Update) as long as the instructions of your
root solution do not state something else (="persistence on dirty flashing") !
Currently Supported Root Solutions:
Magisk v14.0
KERNEL:
The kernel in this ROM follows LAOS source with custom additions.

AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!

With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LAOS) we are now LAOS based with some tweaks from AOSP.

You tell...

Magisk versions higher than 14.0 doesn't require flash on every dirty flash depending on the device, some devices need you to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise it should be fine
KERNEL:
The kernel in this ROM follows LAOS source with custom additions.

Bluetooth for calls not working
Don't know if anyone is having this problem, but my Bluetooth doesn't work for calls. It's working fine for music, videos and notifications sounds.
When the call connects, neither the person I'm calling or me can hear anything.
But anyway, this ROM is awesome!
Many thanks for the DEV!!

Hey guys. This rom has been without updates for a while, I know. Personal things happened to me which resulted in most of my work going, but I plan to keep AICP going.
For the meantime, I compiled a beta build of 14.0 (9.0.0) and will keep download links here.
AICP 13.1 (8.1.0 Oreo)
https://mega.nz/#!rbQVkCJA!EdSw0qCgH2KuRgif7r9YNlSb32YwxZKwZDbbkwnsCEg
AICP 14.0 (9.0.0 Pie)
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nSP_WQ0bjqd0QiVHpkrg0r2qCpGZVQ5d/view?usp=sharing
Bugs are as same as LOS for both.
Based on latest lineage build 33?
Will try this anyway. Thank you for this rom!
Going to install and give it a go Thank you! Keep you posted if i find anything you might need to know about dude :good:
Miss aicp rom, tnx dev
A spooky update came along.
Link in OP has been updated. Newest changes from LOS15 and October 5th security patch are included.
hi, does this build has the requirement for the device model name to be of the s7 edge, i would like to try dual boot but its not possible to flash if the build is marked for s7 edge as my device is on s9 rom and the model name is of the s9?
thanks! I like it!
Guys!
Begun to think I'm stupid but I can't see the Rom download link.

I have tried AICP 14 for S7. It isn't very different from LOS16 right now, but once it's (near) completed I will be posting it. ?
I am running version 13.1 (dated 9. Oct, 2018) for almost 2 weeks now on Gallaxy S7 EDGE, Exynos. Only had 1 unexpected reboot, otherwise works perfect...
...except some bugs:
- Camera is not working
- Seems like Android Keyboard is too sensitive or something, so I make a lot of mistakes when typing on this ROM. But this seems to be 8.1 guilty
- Voice quality is sometimes terrible for other side. At the moment I don't have enough feedback to determine exact combination of circumstances to point finger to
- Sometimes seems like screen is too sensitive to fingers just near screen, or maybe sense part of my hand, which is touching phone edge, so right-hand icons just trigger by themselves sometimes (say, during call text messaging app opens)

Thank you for hint about camera - it actually does not work only WITH FLASH ON. Without flash it works.
Also VIDEO works.
Only when flash is ON, it seems like it's taking a shot, flash lights up...but then nothing happens. Actually all camera buttons freeze in this case - only navigation buttons work (back, home, recents).
Did dalvik clear, but no help, Rebooted few times, no help.
totally underrated this rom! I have it now for over 3 Weeks in daily use
Hey guys, updated post #1. Download links will be there, sorry for being inactive, left something there ^^
Hows dis rom?
I think that this rom is the most stable one in my opinion. No lags, no reboots, very responsive, no black screen issue at all... I'm using it with stock configuration.
Thanks for bringing this rom to us

Hi man.
Thank you for continuing this project! I very much appreciate it.
Do you happen to know what kernel with wakelock capability supports your ROM (or a Kernel with more governors/customization options)? I have tried several but they all result in bootloops.
Thank you!

Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!

A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP. Custom ROMs modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROMs.
Q. How do I 'dirty flash' builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot" as the destination, then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash and reboot afterwards.
Using the ROM:
Thanks.)
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Pie.
How to flash for the first time:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know it!)
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
3. Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
4. Flash the ROM Zipfile.
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work).
6. Reboot and set up your device, enable developer settings and in them OEM unlock/Advanced reboot/USB tethering.
7. Reboot back into TWRP recovery.
8. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
9. Reboot your device.
The procedure might vary from device to device and is a bit different on system updates!
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every OTA update (= ROM Update)
Currently supported Root Solution:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions higher than 17.2 doesn't usually require to be flashed on every dirty flash. Depending on the device, you may need to flash it every time. Unless your maintainer says otherwise it should be fine.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates):
To be able to flash using the built-in OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
Please be sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery. Keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!

AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Android Lollipop, the ROM has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS) we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and then changed to be based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
We changed again for Android Q with a base of AOSP repositories and some additions from LineageOS for device specific repositories.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out, if it concerns our code base. This ROM isn't LineageOS supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!

Actually not, Iwas using 3.2.2-r23. As said, it installed fine, and I can even boot and run, but then again it reboots after 30 second uptime everytime.
Do you think an old version of TWRP could mess up the installation, and thus, even if the installation runs fine, the ROM is corruptively installed afterwards?
That really sounds like you were using Oreo firmware. But assuming that you are using pie modem, yes, old twrp could cause some issues. Also, we are official again for twrp, so you can just download from there
Dear developer.
The Wear Os application does not start on your firmware,
and when theJBL mode is connected, the alarm clock does not play
I'll look into wearos
I know, this is a issue that plagues all Z devices on custom roms, and we are trying to fix it
Ah, so refreshing to see an official rom for our device! Works flawlessly, thank you!

Greetings from Germany
Thanks for your work!
My bluetooth doesnt work. When i start it, it doesnt run and an info box opens with the text " Bluetooth terminates repeatedly " and three choices...app information, close app and Copy the url of the crash report .
bluetooth is not important to me, I just wanted to point out the problem to you ... maybe others have the same
ad astra
Hack
You need to be on Pie firmware for this rom, otherwise you get, well, that
oh...ok...thanks for the fast answer
This looks pretty cool, great job! I have a few questions:
1) Does encryption work?
2) What about Always on Display? Is it the same experience as in stock ROM?
3) And finally, does one-button navigation work? (The gesture navigation using the fingerprint sensor.)
Thanks!
1) Yes! It does
2) You can enable it yeah; I like to use it only when it's charging and there's an option for that too. I can't say it's the same as stock as i haven't been on stock in like 2 years
3) Yes, yes it does
is wear os app not working issue resolved yet?
Hi. Today I've installed this rom and later I've updated to 20210327 WEEKLY. Camera doesn´t work and when I plugged the charger or the usb cable front flash enables. Any solution?
Thx

Hi!, what do you mean camera doesn't work? Could you be a bit more specific about what app you are using, errors?
Also that's not the front flash, that's the notification LED, and it turning on during charging can be disabled under Settings -> AICP Extra -> Notifications -> Battery LED
