Will moto Z force cases fit play? - Moto Z Play Accessories

So like it says in the title... I know the phones are technically different sizes. But the difference appears to be very VERY minimal. I'm wondering if with a very small amount of altering if any at all the cases would be compatible...

No headphone jack opening.

haha I hadn't thought of that, however it's nothing a dremel couldn't fix

not fully compatible
I use one o those, and if you make the headphone hole in the case it will fit, BUT I cant use Screen protectora o tempered glass because its not compatible with the case, Im think that is because of tje differece in size.

Yes most of the moto z force cases fit i heard from jwills and a few other utubers just need headphonr jack

I'm using the moto z forces otterbox commuter on mine. Works fine for me since I mostly use Bluetooth

I'm using a Case Mate "Tough Stand" made for the force. No headphone jack opening, but this case is awesome. Adds very little bulk and has built in stand for viewing. Got it at the local Verizon store during the BOGO promotion.

I would not recommend this. The jack and several microphones get covered. Also, the phone is slightly taller and wider than force so the protection may be compromised.
*I have both phones and have tested several force cases on play

I probably won't be doing it, but it's literally a half of a millimeter wider and taller. If you drill out the mic holes and headphone jack I hardly see it being a problem. But after looking there aren't many more cases for the force that would make me want to go through the trouble honestly.

Has anyone tried spigen rugged armor case ? Love them but they are only present force. Planning to buy them and use with play ! Anyone who has tried it if can help would be great!

yes it will fit for the Moto Z, but not have hole for the headset jack

Will any other Moto case fit the z play? Z play does not have as many options.

[Q] Standard Earbuds not compatible with my Ears

So I just got my Nexus S yesterday, I love it, but... right about now, I'm feeling extremely dumb. Either that, or I have a horrible ear canal for listening to music.
I've tried everything to get the earbuds that came with the Nexus S to stay in my ear, but it just won't work. I've even watched YouTube videos to figure out how to get it to fit my ear. Something's wrong. No matter how deep in the ear canal I stick the earbuds, they won't stay for longer than 5 seconds. The slightest movement causes them to fall off.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this a common problem?
Is there a way to reduce the radius on the earbuds so I can try fitting them better in my ear? I really want to start using these standard headphones. They look extremely nice, and the rubber tips really enhance the sound, at least for the few seconds I manage to hold it in my ear. I don't want to go back to using my crappy Motorola ones. Help!
I was like this at the start when i first started to use in-ear earphones. I had to kinda force them into my ears. It was annoying at first but now its natural. Dunno if you are the same as me though
same problem here! I cant figure those damn things out lol. I had to go back to my iphone headset.
What headphone models have been comfortable for you?
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Had this same problem with the last few handsets I've had. The solution I found was to get some of those foam pads for the earbuds. The friction between the foam and your skin keeps the earbuds solidly in your ear. Without the foam, my earbuds constantly fell out which drove me insane.
i have small ears too, i hate ear buds headphones as it causes a lot of pain after 15 min when using over sized ear buds, which are "normal" sizes for big ear peoples
very few products over mini ear buds (normal sizes for us), like a couple of Sony Bluetooth headsets i found in the past.
so i always use headsets that have an ear hook
I find the cable causes the most problems, If I have the cable exiting downwards, I cannot push the earbud in far enough. The only way to get a good fit is to turn them upside down and have the cables looped over the top of my ears.

Do you mean those black foam pads that used to come with iPods? Do you know where I can find one nowadays? Or is there an easy way to improvise?
And thanks for the response guys, assured me that I'm not the only one to have problems with earbuds.
If you're using in-ear headphones there are 2 solutions:
Comply Foam Tips - Super comfortable but a little bit too expensive for me considering you have to change them every month (or two).
Sony Hybrid Tips Comes in 4 different sizes so you can mix-and-match if your ear canals are not the same size. Very comfortable and durable.
NOTE: There are some "Replacement Sony Silicone Ear Tips" on eBay, most (or all) of them are not the genuine ones. Quality wise is OK but the material is harder than original Sony Hybrid Tips so they may not as fit and comfortable as the real ones.
I thought it was just me I'm living with em until i have enough cash to buy a nice new pair of cans.
Sent from my Google.
you can get some rubber ear bud, the one that came standard is too big for me, so i got some sony ones, they are quite expensive, but you can get the non sony one's, works just as good, but much cheaper.
non sony one set USD 0.64
sony from most country set of 3 (S.M.L) USD 10
sony from japan two set either XS, SS, S, M, L and other sizes in between USD 5.75
Try
I am an earbud addict, try these J3Ms: http://earbudreview.org/earbud-reviews/jbuds-j3j3m-earbud-review/ They come with different earbud pieces so if you have a big ear (it seems like), then you can swap them out for the big earbud pieces.
Thanks for all the suggestions guys, but is there anything I can do with these default ones?

Best Case *SO FAR* :)

After trying several cases for my Nexus 7, knowing there aren't any specifically for the Nexus 7 at any retail stores, this was the best one I've come across. It will hold me over until an official case comes out (I've kept the receipt so I can return it). I just can't have such an awesome piece of tech sitting around without a case and without the ability to use it as a stand for viewing. The leather is genuine and the case is simply gorgeous. I love the way if holds the tablet without the clamps/rubberized holding mechanism actually rubbing or touching the bezel. All ports are accessible while it is in the case and the power/volume buttons are very easily accessible.
Found it at Fry's this morning on the way to work but it will set you back $59.99. One of the best portfolio stand cases I've ever owned for any of my devices. High end.

None, which is hard to say about most cases. I've always had something I've disliked about a case but have dealt with it. I've also always went for the cheaper the better in the past. This case is truly a "you get what you pay for" case. The way it holds the very edges of the tablet is my favorite part. It looks like it is floating in the case and the parts that hold the tablet in place never really become part of the view. The access to all buttons and inputs as well as the quality of the leather are great. The actual stand aspect allows for infinite viewing angles and never feels cheap, like the stand portion is going to collapse at any moment.
This case looks really nice. I personally want a colored case though and not the standard brown/black. Also, I'd rather pay a bit more for a case that I really like and thats going to last me a while then buy a cheap case that I'm not that into, deciding that Im not satisfied with it and having to buy more. So if I see something that I fall in love with then I don't mind pulling the trigger as long as its not 100+

Nice. It fits perfectly? Usually cases with the plastic clips are pretty picky about what they'll work with. If so, I'm thinking about buying one of these gtab 2 7.0 cases and adding a "smart cover" magnet to it.

I just pulled the edges on the 4 rubber ends out slightly, if that makes sense, and when the tablet was in place, they wrapped perfectly around each corner of the tablet. It takes a tiny bit of "fitting", but once it's on, it's all good.

How about the speaker in the back, is it covered or are there holes for it?
There are no holes for the speaker. I did a test at max volume and I have no idea why but it sounds louder with it in the case then out of the case. It could be the way it's configured with the speaker near flush but with a decimeter or so gap. I know with my phones and tablets that they tend to sound louder when they are angled near a wall and I seem to get the same effect with this case.

I don't know, may be not the same quality but it's hard to judge from photos, or even the prizes.
Only way to judge is hand-on experience like the OP's case, his case looks good also because when the back holds on to four corners only, whereas these ones are a bit 'uneven' (when viewed in portrait mode) : p
I would perfer something that holds on to the edges of Nexus 7 only, like the Official Case or this:

Gameklip is now offering 2 models only. One for the SG3 and a universal one that attaches to a case for your phone with a 3M adhesive strip. They have cases for the Note 2 for $2.95, it's a generic TPU type. The wireless model plus case plus shipping to my house came to $21. The case attaches permanently to the klip so you will have to switch out any case you now have each time to use it. I have the Samsung protective case that slips off an on easily so I decided to go ahead and get the universal "case mount" since I would have had to take it off anyway with the old style system because it fit the phone too tightly to use with a case anyway. I will report back on the fit and quality once I receive the package.

You would have to take off any case anyway because the versions made for specific phones fit too tightly to allow you to place the phone plus case into the klip. You can't expect an option for every phone/case combination. If it fits tight enough to hold the naked phone securely it won't accommodate the phone plus case.

3M adhesive strips are way more reliable than sticky tape. Automomile manufactures use it to attach heavy items to vehicles that are subjected to much greater stress than you will ever
subject your phone to (unless you plan on throwing it when the game gets frustrating). Just clean the attachment point with alcohol before applying and you won't need to worry about it coming off under normal use.

I actually think it will look better than the plastic arms wrapping around the naked phone. This way the case and phone will be appear to be an integral part of the device rather than an apparent add on. Also, when I was thinking of ordering one like the original I worried that those arms, being made of rigid plastic and fitting tightly enough to keep the phone from dropping out, would eventually cause visible wear on the phone's body with repeated insertions. That should be no problem with a soft flexible case. Additionally, on the theory that the phone will eventually be replaced, it will be possible to remove the case and fit one for the Note 3, 4 or 5 to the device with a new adhesive strip. All in all it appears to be a pretty clever one size fits all solution for the multitude of devices in the market. I got notification that mine has shipped so I will soon have a better idea of how well it actually fits and will report back.
You make a lot of valid points let us know how you like it.

If you bought one for your original note that WILL WORK! I shoved my note 2 in it to see and it was way to strainful, so I decided to take a lighter to heat one side up to let it adjust to the longer phone, not it fits in perfect nice and tight and no issues at all!
Notice how the right side is angled a little, I can still shake it around and everything and its very sturdy still

Diztronic TPU Case + 3.5mm audio cable

I bought a Diztronic case from Amazon. I like it just fine but I like to connect my phone to the car with a 3.5mm cable to listen to music. The problem is the base of my 3.5mm cable is to big to fit inside the Diztronic case cutout.
Was wondering if anyone out there had a 3.5mm cable with a very slim base?
I have the exact same problem with my headphone and the diztronic case. Might just be because of the design of the G2. I had the cruzerlite case (returned it) and it blocked the headphone plug even more. The diztronic case blocks less but my scl-4 still won't fit.
I've noticed this too, any headphone cords that have a step down or tapered casing around the jack will work fine. I just ordered one of these and a replacement cord for my car too. I generally wouldn't spend this much on silly cords but I wanted ones that would last instead of opting for ebay junk.

I would highly suggest against modifying the case, the case is already very thin around the top of the headphone jack. Buying a new cord is always cheaper than a new case still.

Let us know if it works.
Anything which has a smaller casing should work perfectly, just pay attention to what the cord you are buying looks like. If it steps down, it'll work perfectly. I just opted for some higher quality and higher rated items since I've dealt with too many broken/defective cords.

Just finally got both in the mail, pretty decent quality and should last good. Both fit perfectly fine.
What I've actually done in the past is just take my 3.5mm jack and use a knife or scissors to just cut the extra plastic off around the tip. Almost like you are making a spear tip on a stick. Works well, quick, and free.

Ok, question about otter box case...

So I have a otter box case for the z force on my z PLAY ...this is THE only otter box I could find that could fit my phone...the only problem is of course the headphone jack...I went to best buy and all that have is the lightning to headphone jack adapter but nothing for USB c to headphone jack...has anyone been able to find this adapter? Well, it's still way cheaper of the phone or repairing the phone if usb get broken of constant plug/unplug or because adapter pushed connector on the side in pocket.
Btw, case should be made of durable plastic. Otherwise, will brake on the first drop.
I have this one (clear), but you may like some of others. It has all necessary holes
