I am not entirely sure we have a full image of B29 to work on.
My understanding is that we have full images of B03, B05 for A2017G and full image of B20 for A2017U.
Perhaps, one of the more expert forum members could shed some light.
Thumbs up to OP for trying to cook a Stock rom.

Though we don't, the files posted by drakenFx can be used to deodex it...
I was playing around with framework file, but can't be flashed until it's deodex and I don't have Ubuntu to play around with superR kitchen

has anyone tried this rom?
p.s it would be great if you could modify the audio to be the same as 2017U

I believe there is nothing to modify. The Audiochip are the same and the problems in the beginning have been fixed with the b03 Uodate..

Maybe an acces to the files with twrp ?. I'll personally try when I'll have much time and more modded that.

It's not booting, stuck at ZTE logo, btw i'm having 2017U model phone.

Any plans for b05? I haven't touched anything in terms of roms on my axon 7 yet.
But I'm considering it. I also want to wait for the november update, so not sure.

Custom ROM

Hi,
I am considering Ascend P7 as a new mobile phone. As I saw here, there is an option to root the phone which is a must for me.
I don't see any custom ROMs here. Looks like you are using only the official ROM.
Can someone explain the situation?
Regards.
Still waiting....
I believe Huawei must release kernel source so the development can start.

Try these:

See here as well: http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-p7/help/q-hrt-p7-l07-l05-rom-t2851015
Both are stable. The HRT rom is deodexed, the other isn't. They are compatible with single sim phones. Don't know about dual sim though. Don't forget to backup before you try.
Thanks.
Is there any new custom rom for our devices ?

Try this: https://drive.google.com/uc?id=0B6QnIbFOPM4peUIwYlN0VDRfVEU&export=download
This is the ROM as originally developed. It's fully deodexed and not password protected. All of the tweaks are in Chinese. For English translations you need to substitute 2 apks which are here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B6QnIbFOPM4pNEsxbjVTRmI4dzg&usp=sharing
So, backup your phone, flash the zip, then using a file manager such as FX substitute the 2 apks and reboot your phone.
There is a later version of this ROM (V4.0) but the only extra tweaks relate to resizing the nav bar and waking the phone using the vol button. The author of this ROM will probably release a new version soon which will incorporate EMUI3.0 and various tweaks.

[ROM] CM13.0 for ZTE Axon Elite A2015 - Compatible with A2016?

I have discovered chinese developers are working on CM13.0 for A2015 version.
http://www.myzte.cn/thread-263527-1-1.html
It's needed to register on the chinese forum for getting the download link, but I have already downloaded and uploaded it to MEGA.
https://mega.nz/#!PwJS0QpZ!SphrqNpypkaPG86oJ_RoBxuIvFRnQy38LRHk9GymSwk
Can anyone try if it works on A2016? I bought it some days ago, so I'm waiting for it and I can't try it yet.
Facts about this rom vs. stock rom I could read from chinese people:
- Overheat
- No google services
- No fingerprint
- Better battery performance
- Faster
- Very slow boot
- Worst mobile coverage
- Works with Xposed
The version is only for the A2015, said in post #198 (http://www.myzte.cn/forum.php?mod=redirect&goto=findpost&ptid=263527&pid=3289532)
"Please don't install this ROM in AXON ELITE devices. it's only for AXON A2015. "

So what's the difference between A2015 and A2016?
If there're no hardware differences, it wouldn't be difficult to make a port of this rom for A2016, right?

It shouldn´t be, as there are no dramatic hardware differences as far as I know. Unfortunately my knowledge in porting ROMs is almost non-existent.
I´d be grateful if a more experienced dev could investigate.
Just to give you all an answer - no its not compatible. I've made full backup in TWRP, then wiped all partitions and made an clean install then rebooted.
It stayed on ZTE bootloader screen for 15 minutes and it didn't booted. So not even passing the bootloader screen.
Full restore of stock ROM was only possible after first wiping all of the partitions, then rebooting, restoring the stock ROM and even then the stock ROM didn't wanted to boot. After going into the Factory reset mode (not resetting, just getting into with Volume low button and power) I was able to power off the phone, then start it and then it finally booted back to previously restored Stock ROM.
This was done on A2016 Elite model.

It would definitely awesome having CM13 on this phone since the hardware is absolutely awesome considering the price tag. I have purchased this device from gearbest a few days ago for about 180 bucks. IMHO quite insane for QCOM MSM8994, 1080p, metal build etc.
Too bad ZTE isn't eager to provide proper community support...
My LG G4 shortly died (bootloop issue) after the alarm rang, waking me for work....still fulfilled its last duty... Lol

I have saw some Russian people are now working on our A2016 version.

I've found a way to boot and run Chinese CM13 for A2015 correctly on our A2016.
There is no fingerprint support! NFC have problems and you can't change lockscreen settings (use external lockscreen app works fine).
Dual SIM is supported, WiFi, Caliing, Data, Sound, Camera - everything works fine. Need to sort few thing out and check the bugs if there are A2016 dependend or CM bug, since this is unofficial ROM.
For the record - I'm not building CM13 myself, just made CM13 A2015 bootable on A2016 using some special files.
In couple of days, I'll upload the needed files for you guys, so that you can also use it.
AnTuTu gives 79k on CM13.
Greetings

Sounds the same issues than I got when installing Chinese marshmallow rom on A2016, but I didn't test NFC. Does it have same issue also that when trying to enable password/pin protection in security options, settings will force close?

Yes, correctly. The same issues. Can't tell if this is device firmware problem or ROM.
Is it possible to use the fingerprint and NFC files from the official A2016 Android 5.0 Firmware and port them to Android M? Like with the radio file (NON-HLOS.bin).

Sorry, didn't tested that. I'm also back on stock, since the CM13 had few bugs. Can't recommend it as daily driver. With the time, the ROM become laggy and simple games started to stutter.

[GUIDE] How to install s7/n7 port roms on note 4 SM-N910S/L/K

I recently bought a note 4 and it turned out to be a n910s. There arent many 910s devs around so i decided to look around on how to boot these roms on our device. These are my findings and i present it as a guide so that other n910s users can benefit from this too.
All credits go to the original devs of the roms/kernels
I will not be responsible for a bricked or broken devices
These are the same exact steps thats i did, if you follow them in that particular manner youll have a new rom on your device in no time
HOW TO INSTALL S7 ROM ON N910S
To my knowledge the only s7 rom that boots up on the n910s is the DN5 rom. Here are the steps to do so
1.Download DN5 rom from the E-Team website http://electron-team.com/sm-n910c-2/
2.Download the latest firmware for the n910s from sammobile https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-N910S/
3.Extract the downloaded firmware file two times until you get the modem,boot,cache... files
4.Open downloaded DN5 rom (Default opens with Winrar)
5.Drag the boot.img file from the samsung official firmware and add and replace it in "eteam" folder of DN5
6. Do the same for the modem.bin (You'll have to flash bootloader manually)
7. Copy the modified DN5 folder to your devices internal storage or external sd card.
8. Flash rom, manually flash bootloader through odin and it'll boot
ENJOY THE FLAVORS OF THE S7
It takes about 10-15 minutes to boot
To save battery on the s7 rom use Grennify and Force Doze
Unfortunately there is no script to debloat s7 roms automatically. You'll have to manually download a system app remover from the play store grant root access and then uninstall or disable system apps.
ALSO ON THE N910S WHEN YOU GO TO MAKE A CALL THERE IS A STATIC NOISE (THIS HAPPENS ON BOTH THE S7 AND N7 ROMS) TO FIX THIS FLASH THE FILE BELOW IN RECOVERY all credits go to @tanthuychivietnam on making this fix
https://mega.nz/#!ohUmHJJL!FQB-6Ejt4KmmdICNfgbXPQ7CqBzE5xIGGqW8XQ06Qgg
HOW TO INSTALL N7 ROM ON N910S
To my knowledge every N7 port rom i've tried to boot up with this method has worked and this the easiest method out of the 2
1.Download your N7 port rom of choice
2.Download prime kernel. If you dont have prime kernel send an email to [email protected] and an automated email will give you the links to the kernel
3.move kernel and rom to internal storage/external sd card
4. flash rom and then kernel
5. DONT REEBOT, flash latest modem and bootloader and youre done
YOUR N4 IS NOW A N7*YAY**RIP N7*
Battery drain is quite significant on all N7 ports because samsung didnt update the software any further *we all know why* and also there maybe heating issues. If anyone does have a heating problem just delete system/bin/debug_interface_proxy Of course this differs from user to user depending on their usage and their preference of the rom
There is a debloat script available for debloating the N7 ill link it down below. credits go to @Near_07 on making this excellent script
DEBLOAT ALL N7 ROMS - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69891651&postcount=8829
To save battery on N7 roms use Greenify and force Doze as mentioned above and also go to Samsung under "Accounts" and disable all sync This is the main reason your phone stays awake even while the screen if off and it drains a lot of battery. Also try disabling "Enable Fast Charging" under the battery section, this too might help
In my opinion PIROBOT v6 is the best and most stable n7 port for the n910s right now, again this is my opinion and it may differ from user to user
These are the steps i followed to get DN5 S7 and any N7 rom to boot up on the N910s. Hope these steps can help you guys too. If it did all i ask for is a thanks, don't worry its free
If i forgot to credit any devs for their amazing work or if you want any edits drop me a pm and ill add/edit your name/work
Finally this is none of my work, just a guide, shoutout to all those amazing devs out there who make all this happen

Thank you for your help. My phone is n916k , a korean note 4 like yours. I flashed dn7 rom on it and it's working well except for the lockscreen security, pin, pattern and password don't work on mine , I don't know why, in can input the password, pin or pattern on lockscreen security setting but when I want to unlock the phone, none of them work. Fortunately i only have to flash Dr. ketan lockscreen security bypass v1.1 to delete the lockscreen security And get back my phone working without reflash the all rom. And about the heating problem, I don't have it anymore. A nice guy told me to delete system/bin/debug_interface_proxy and it worked, up to now no heating anymore.
If you have a fix for this lockscreen problem, please could you share with us. Thanks

I didnt experience any of the lock screen problems when i flashed dn7. Thanks for the heads up on the heating problem ill look into it. Have you tried using a third party lockscreen app. If not i suggest you switch roms. DN7 is not that good with the prime kernel. Im on pirobot v6 which is also a note 7 port and i get excellent battery life with the kernel plus there are no lockscreen issues either

Hi @vishudha98, I flashed pirobot rom v6 for n910c on my n916k, up to now everything is working fine, no heating, no laggy, deep sleep very good too. Only Samsung keyboard fcs, do you know if there is a fix for that ? On google plus I found 3 fixs and flashed them but they didn't solve Samsung keyboard problem. Actually I use another keyboard, it's working well but if possible I would like to have Samsung keyboard working.
Anyway thank you so much for pointing me to use this wonderful rom, I really like it. And by the way, the link on the OP for call noise fix for n910s doesn't work, please do you know if there is a call noise fix for n916k inside this file?
Thank you

It only opens my Mega apk and nothing else, no import nor download button. It only happens for this. Please could you provide another link on mega of this voice fix? Thank you

Of course I did. I also checked the zip file and found that for each device inside system/etc there is only one file libsec-ril.so and I think that's not enough to fix call noise problem because I found another fix, darklord fix and it's the same as truongtan's fix and both don't work on my device. I also looked inside Dr. Ketan's fix call Noise for note 5 Korean and inside lib there are more than one file. Maybe only libsec-ril.so isn't enough.
Anyway thanks for all.

I'd hit thanks a billion times over if possible, @PaulPizz. You're an invaluable contributor to XDA, and as a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 user, I am humbly grateful at your continued development and endeavors upon our device. I graciously praise you and wish I had actual re$ource$ I could actively donate, as well. Sadly, at this time, I must remain limited to verbal gratitude.

You wouldn't by chance have a way to get the OTA update file would you? I have a complete stock note 4 but only able to update to CPF3 as I can't find OTA update files.
Thanks for any help.

I could easily update if I had access to a PC. I don't own one and no one is willing to let me borrow one for a few days because they either think what I am doing is illegal or they don't want to part with their computer for a few days since the unlock process can be tricky.
Great phone stuck locked. If I didn't need verizon I would get a GSM phone in a heart beat.

did you update your aboot to MM 6.0.1? if not this must be done because the wifi driver is in the aboot partition. this will require re-unlocking your bootloader...

Is there any other kernels to use for stock rom?
Hello @PaulPizz First off I want to thank you for this completely stock ROM. I flashed it last night just so I could have a stock backup. One thing I noticed though which is great is that my mms messages seem to be sent over wifi. I went into settings/about phone/status and and under mobile network type it said IWLAN. I was connected to my home wifi and mms messages sent in like 1 second. It was awesome. Calls and everything still worked correctly also. Sorry for so long of a post, but since I I use Emotion OS and NSeven as my DD's, I was wondering if you knew how I could get mms to work like that on those ROM'S Thanks for reading

[MOD] 70-72Hz Display Mod for OnePlus6

70-72Hz Mod for OnePlus 6!
So here it is guys! Our own Display OC mod! Ever since Mi9 got one I really wanted to make one for OP6 too and after many sleepless nights and compiling various things, here it is! Let's talk about couple of things, is it safe? Mi9 users and K20 Pro users have a similar mod and they reported no screen damage so far. I will be testing this mod 24/7 and report how it affects my screen. I also used lower values just because 75Hz seemed bit unstable so this mod is pretty safe I'd say. 70Hz runs really.. well. Smoothly! Can You notice the difference? Yes! Shocking how much difference there is in 10Hz. Battery life? Probably no impact at all since the OC is pretty small.
Can I flash it on 6T, santoni, vince, my new mt6580 phone?? No! Even though it won't brick Your phone, it simply won't work.
Compatibility? Most likely all Pie roms, maybe even without root.
How to Install:
Windows Users:
Extract the zip somewhere.
Reboot to fastboot and plug Your phone in.
Double tap on 70hz_recommended_flasher_windows.bat (Don't run it as admin)
Wait till it finishes flashing.
Reboot and enjoy!
Check screenshots in attached images!

Interesting. How to uninstall if something goes wrong?
And therefore, when do we need to flash it again? After every ROM update?

It modifies dtbo partition. So custom roms most likely won't ever touch this partition. Stock OTAs will though.

If Your TWRP supports dtbo flashing then sure. But if it doesn't then fastboot is the only option I guess.
I feel like I'm gonna get a speeding ticket on my way back home after I finish doing groceries. I need to flash this ASAP. ?
