Hello ,
I have a Verizon Prepaid S4, I have Full Root. But unable to install a custom recovery. I have researched and found other people with same issues.
Is there a way to install a custom recovery ?

[Q] Rooting the HTC One Developers Edition

Hello everyone
i have always been a samsung galaxy user and this is the first time i switch to HTC
i bought the HTC one developers edition and i've been looking for ways to root it.
all the videos on youtube are for locked bootloader phoneS and since the developers edition is already unlocked then the process is different.
can somebody please explain to me how to root the device step by step ?
thank you
I would use the All in One toolkit from the development section to flash a custom recovery on your phone (TWRP, CWM, CWM touch). I'm not sure about CWM, but if you use TWRP I believe it gives you the option to root while in the recovery itself.

Quick question. AT&T Nexus 6

So I have been a die hard Samsung guy since the beginning of Galaxy s. Today I decided to go with a nexus6 from at&t. I know zero about the phone and the Motorola **** tied to it. I am very familiar with odion and and using custom Roms and recoveries with my note phones. My general question is, will any ROM work on any nexus 6 or is it service provider depending...? Also if anyone could post a link to the best root method for the AT&T Nexus 6 I'd greatly appreciate it!

Any nexus 6 rom will work with any nexus 6. Some might not work well on sprint.
As for root learn to use adb/fastboot. You flash recovery via fastboot and then you can flash root via recovery (I recommend TWRP) . It all starts with the bootloader unlock done via fastboot which WILL wipe the phone.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/how-to-nexus-6-one-beginners-guide-t2948481 is a great guide to learn how to root / unlock bootloader etc. Don't use toolkits as they typically don't teach you anything.
All ROMs should work with Sprint at this point, unless they're using the AOSP APN list instead.

It doesn't matter, it'll work for any carrier.

The guide zephiK linked to is great. Once your setup, unlocked, rooted and have a custom recovery; do a full nandroid backup then try any of the great roms and kernels here (they are not carrier specific, they work with all of them);
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/development and http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/orig-development
If you don't like it or get stuck, just boot into recovery and restore your backup. Have fun!

you dont use adb to unlock your device nor to root it. you use fastboot to unlock the bootloader and to flash a recovery, then your new recovery to flash supersu(root). so adb isnt part of rooting, at all.

[Q] Locked on AT&T screen

My Atrix HD is locked on the At&T screen. I've tried factory reset, no good. I hook to my computer and it does not see it. Can I download android to an sd card and install it from the card?
Any help would be appreciated.
Pat
I recommend rooting, unlocking your bootloader, install a custom recovery, and a custom KK ROM.

Will note 4 region lock if i unroot/flash stock 4.4.4 from 5.1 custom rom and unlock

I I have a note 4 tmobile my dad wants to use in Mexico.
It has tekhd custom rom 5.0.1 and I'm going to flash stock 4.4.4 firmware to unroot. Then im going to enter a unlock code iI bought. Will it region lock if I do this although iI have already used it on tmobile network?
I'm worried by resetting device by installing stock firmware and entering unlock code that it will region lock.
Or is there any way iI can have the window to show me where to enter unlock code?
I can not verify this, but i believe this thread can answer your questions and provide you a solution.

[Q] Using Sprint HTC One on T mobile

If I flash a modified t mobile rom (sprint kernel, modules, and partitions) to my phone is sim unlock still needed?
AS far as I know simunlock does not work for domestic carriers.
