Will this thread be folded into your CM 14.0 thread as a current ROM update for the V500 or do you intend to have them continue as separate threads altogether? Just curious. And thank you very much for your continued development for our little tablets!

Flashed over CM14.0 and it's working great so far. Only the free space measurement is a bit off :silly:

Yeah, got the same Problem.
Also, battery gets charged super slow. Even with the charger pluged in, it can't keep or increase the charge while display active. Like an earlier build of the previous cm14 for this device.
Had one unexpected reboot while moving apps on the homescreen.
But overall it is damn smooth already. Thanks for keeping this device alive!

CM got battery percentage working again, cosmetic but it was driving me crazy.
Sent from my LG-V500 using Tapatalk

My SDCARD is still ro

Sdcard is now OK for me. However, titanium is hanging during restore for 2 out of 3 apps

I had to do a full wipe. Now SDcard works for me too.

I could not download the rom from within the tablet: The file host page was loaded, but the file transfer didn't start. I tested with many mirrors and browsers, same result. I am having to download it under windows and then I1ll copy it to the device. I will do a clean install, as it is always recommended when changing OS version.
Thank you very much Fefifofum!

First of thanks to fefifofum for the amazing CM13 and continuing effort to give us the latest&greatest CM roms.
Now that this rom will become the main focus for v500, I'd appreciate some opinions whether it already feel pretty polished?
I've tried the 3rd build of 14.0 and it was still too early for daily use. Changelogs of new builds usually don't reveal much, but I'm keen to switch to 14.1 when it feels solid enough. Which features missing/broken in initial 14.0 builds have been fixed by now? Is the rom stable enough to make it a daily driver?

Just curious, will you continue to update the 14.0 version or do we better switch to 14.1 already? Thanks!

Nice!

It seems there is some problem with livedisplay. Before i used flux, yesterday switched to livedisplay that worked and now it seems like it does not detect dusk...

All fine here. I feel the system format was the best tip provided by fefifofum. Everything, including email, is smooth. Great job again by our combo team of Deltandroid and fefifofum!

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

It is permissive right now, I wouldn't recommend setting it to enforcing.
I can't seem to access my SD card outside of the settings menu for storage. File manager asked me to turn on root access (it is on) and still can't get in. Apps like music can't play files on the SD card.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Yes, factory reset won't wipe your system.
Also wait 20~40 minutes. I am building CM14 with headset working properly.

If I can attachment any log I am waiting to your answers.
and again, thank for your work for this device.
EDIT: my sim for data connection si Sim 2 and this work fine with 4G in your CM13 work.
changelog of 20160913 build?
Google Play Services continually force closes throughout setup, does not allow connecting to a network
Edit: Rest of ROM is relatively smooth, unable to verify data connectivity. Hopefully Google services resolves soon, not expecting stability anytime soon though. Will report issues as they pop up.

Not yet probably.
I don't know if this shows what you need, but I attached a logcat showing when I tried changing the volume sliders to a different level, and it would change back to where it was prior to me adjusting it.
Anyone else having Google issues?
I installed GAPPS version 7 ARM64 with Aroma and keep getting "Google Play Services has stopped"
Why is Theme Engine missing?

Migration from cm-14.1
Regarding installation, we recommend that users wipe when switching to LineageOS, and reinstall their gapps. However, we recognize that this can be time consuming, so we are offering an EXPERIMENTAL (read as, if it fails, you’ll have to wipe anyways) solution.
Alongside the ‘weekly’ release for your supported device, we’ll provide an EXPERIMENTAL data migration build.
This build will allow you to ‘upgrade’ from CM to the signed LineageOS weekly
This build may wipe permissions (you’ll have to re-allow app permissions), but should retain all user data
This build will be watermarked with an ugly banner to ensure that you don’t permanently run this EXPERIMENTAL release, and upgrade to a normal weekly after.
The process for this installation will be as follows:
Install EXPERIMENTAL migration build on top of cm-13.0 or cm-14.1 build (don’t try to install LineageOS 13.0 on top of CM 14.1, that will not work).
Reboot
Install LineageOS weekly build
Reboot
Re-setup your application permissions
Given the EXPERIMENTAL nature of this process, we are going to remove this option in two months time.

How's it going?
Hi guys!
I just wanted to tell my "way" of encrypting the device from 0.
- Flash TWRP, flash Cyanogenmod (and GApps) and other zips if you would like to.
- Reboot your Android to Bootloader.
- Flash CM Recovery (any Nightly or Stable version)
- Boot your Android to Recovery JUST AFTER THE FLASH (so you don't do twice the next step)
- In CM Recovery use the Factory Data Reset.
- Wait then reboot to system.
- Encrypt your phone.
- Reboot to Bootloader then flash TWRP (or your Recovery of choise, if you would like to) and done.
This will obviously delete the data.
The phone doesn't ask for passcode/pattern?
Change/re-enter your passcode/pattern then choose the ask for passcode on reboot.
Hope this helps, encryption is a must for security and awesome if your device gets stolen, I hope I'm helping, thanks for the new thread!

ADB fixed *-* thank you very much \o/
Now we're talking! Thanks a lot @Kayant
It's unbelievable to have such an stable ROM this early!
In terms of installing CM without wiping data I just tried to install it coming from a CM13 install and it seemed to go fine minus Phone still crashing but everything else seems ok.
Now before I installed it I wiped Settings Storage, Call Log backup, Phone and Messaging Storage just to be safe but I still ended up with Phone app Fc. In order to fix that I deleted the Phone app via a file manager(root/system/priv-app/Dialer) then rebooted and finally rebooted again into recovery and reinstall the rom which fixed the phone app crashing. Alternatively you could just delete or freeze the phone app and download same one from the Play store
or an alternative Dialer app.

Hey I just made the thread and posts some links. @luca020400 @LuK1337 Gabriele M are the ones doing the real work
I can make an installation dirty this rom from another CM14?
Build 28-09-2016 has a recurring crash on exchange services even if you select mute.
EDIT: Reverted back to 27-09-2016, and it keeps on happening now. Both flash attempts were dirty though. Will try a clean install.
EDIT: The exchange error only happened once on build 27-09 after I reverted so I stuck to it. So far so good.
You can not change the value night mode, returns to the default value ... And some are heard something cut to the top..
.....edit.....
Today in version 29, mail and Exchange services force close when starting
The MM version of Xposed work with this ROM?

Strange, I had that problem on the 28th but it went away when I went back to 27th. No issues with 29 so far.
The ROM's been awesome, it looks like I have the same issue with YouTube App (minimizing the video inside the App turns to black)
I can't use the flashlight, I've been trying the fix someone said in the other thread, but nothing.
Also I don't know if it only happens to me, but downloading a thing using Chrome (I know it uses Download Manager) tends to cancel the downloads in background, it's not a internet issue.
Keep the good work!

V50020F Bootloader: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24352994023707804
* Some stock based roms flash bootloader files without the user being aware of it. So just to be safe, I recommend everybody to flash the above zip to make sure that you are using all the correct bootloader files.
let's tests
Awesome work! I am excited to get working on this!
What about performance? I read that Nougat is still slower than Marshmallow.

not give it to compare, due to rom has its primera recently build now.
but this very fluid
While initialize I got the annoying "com.android.phone has stopped" and can't get rid of it and continue to work.
Any idea how to overcome it?

Oops ... missed it.
Worked like a charm.
Many thanks and Happy New Jewish Year.
Bug: cannot change battery icon, also battery percentage is not visible even when set.
Also some apps are crashing, e.g. link2sd and Email.
Normal bug of cm 14, this is still freature development
So it is okay then Besides that, the ROM is quite stable and fast, only occasionally reboots.

Can't seem to be able to add my Google account after flashing stock Gapps from opengapps (with a few edits in the gapps-config). Google Play Services just keeps crashing when I try to add an account, in the setup and in settings. Any ideas?

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.1 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. Lineage OS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the changelog for a full list of changes & features.
Important information:
The following is NOT SUPPORTED: custom kernels, xposed, mods, supersu. Do not report bugs if you use any of those.

Dirty-flashed coming from 1225 (last CM) - root is gone!

I can confirm this, dirty flashed rom and delta gapps and now root is gone. I can allow it only for ADB but not for Apps. Is there a way to get root back?
EDIT: i've done a clean install and it doesn't fix the issue so for now it's better off not to install if you need root
As always thank you very much for your hard + good work! Will try the new build immediately.

Ditto. Lost root access for apps. Fortunately I did a full nandroid backup yesterday so am once again back up and running the last version of CM14.1
Well, since with this first release of LAOS there is a bug of lost root, I will stay with CM until this were fixed.

SU is now disabled by default. A separate addon will be provided to enable root apparently. This is a work around for safetynet.
Another way to fix this is to export an environment variable during compile time:
# Enable SU by default
export WITH_SU=true
I didn't even notice root was disabled, probably because I'm using Magisk + phh's superuser. That combo is still working without issues. Don't know about SuperSU though.

Will be there some OTA update support?
New build released
with root access enabled again in dev options. We'll probably get weekly official builds soon (but not before next week).
Root access for apps is now working again. Thanks.
It is same build date and file name but if you download new ROM file with MD5 = 037dcbf9fb2974b650b237c68a26bce4 then reflash (plus gapps) your root (ADB and apps)is now enabled.
Enjoy!
The vanilla android boot animation is very nice too, not considered a bug by me!

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg.

Yes, I got it installed after a bit of fumbling around.
The key seems to be the gapps. I first tried the open_gapps-arm64-9.0-stock-20180815-UNOFFICIAL.zip found on XDA, but it caused several problems with Pixel setup, etc.
Finally found BiTGApps-arm64-9.x.x-0.1-unsigned.zip, which is very minimal. It worked great.
HW button lights not working, but otherwise all seems fine.
:good::good::good:
Thx, Luk1337 for your work.
I will wait this time and hope for official (so hopefully no clean Install)
just installed it, looks good, thx
Just installed. All is fine. Thanks.
It is not working for me. No matter which gapps I install, every time google play and bluetooth apps are crashing and randomly also the whole pixel setup. Unfortunately for me unusable.

Yes, I formatted data and system partition before each installation and did factory reset. I tried with all possible pie gapps I could found. Also without installing gapps. Every time the same result. Very strange.

I think I figured it out. The errors only occur when my MicroSD card is inserted. It was prompting me on how to use the card, but I had not formatted the card.
Is Google assistant working for anyone? Half the time says unable connect, the other half the mic doesn't work.
Besides that, very promising and will be my daily rom
Kudos on getting this out so soon, and with minimal bugs. It's really smooth -- ready to be my daily driver.
Minor issues that have cropped up over 2 days of regular use:
- Google Assistant works but it *is* a bit flaky. I have to re-enable it as the default assist app after every reboot.
- None of my apps / widgets that access the SSID information work (they run, but display no information). I'm not sure if this is due to this ROM or to Android Pie in general.
[update: Problem solved. Settings > Security & privacy > Location > Advanced > Scanning > Enable Wi-Fi scanning did the trick! ]
- Battery life was about half of what I was getting with stock Nougat using the "medium" battery saver setting. I fixed that problem with the "Power Booster" app from the store (although any of the CPU tweaking apps should work as well).
I'm really hopeful that we'll get an Xposed version for Android Pie so I can get the rest of my favorite tweaks in.

I think it's pre-rooted. In any case, I installed Magisk.
Update: There is "root access" setting under "developer options". Mine shows "disabled", presumably because Magisk is controlling root access.
