Will you buy the OnePlus Three T? - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

Or wait for the OnePlus 4?
Btw first

Already have op3, will skip this and buy the 4

I already have the Oneplus 3 but i think that if Oneplus 3T has a larger battery, i make the change

I've waited 4 weeks for my +3 to finnaly arrive yesterday, only to find out after 6 months a newer version is alreadycomming. I'll probably use my option to refund this version and for just 80$ more buy the newer version.

I've had the OP3 for 3+ months so I won't be getting the 3T. I'll just get the OP4 or probably the next Google phone.

If you already have a OP3 then do not rush into buying this one immediately even though it has good specs. Wait until OP 4 comes out. Compare specs/price. And then make a choice.

No, because my OP3 arrived on October 29th, making November 13th the last day I could return it for a refund...which is two days before the OP3T announcement. ಠ_ಠ

I was thinking of buying OP3 this thanksgiving so I guess i will take a look at the specs and if all looks good, i will go ahead and buy it.

I have OnePlus 3 since mid-October, so nope, I'm not going to buy 3T.
P.S. I'm very disappointing about company decision make and sell new flagship in several month after announcing OP3. I hope they will support OP3.
P.P.S Has anyone seen information about OnePlus Pixel?

If they add an SD slot, I will... I've tried the LG G5 and z-force, but I'm curious about OnePlus.

My credit card is ready

My Nexus 5 just died so I know I will be buying it.

It's a OnePlus 3 with the build.prop changed for Google Assistant work on that phone.

I've got a OP3 on order, due to be despatched on the 15th. I'm naïvely hoping they upgrade us for free, or at least give the option to upgrade without having to wait another 3 weeks

after hearing this news i hate those whole one plus team, and i will never bought oneplus product again...

No SD card slot, no way. LG V20 with microsd and removable battery.

I actually prefer autumn/winter release after new Android is out and everything. Hope they continue this trend.

Who here is looking to grab one of these in NA?
Me
I'll be buying one tomorrow! Assuming they go on sale tomorrow!
I'm ready !
I am waiting for it to go on sale, I am going to grab one myself
Launching the 22nd still wondering whats going on with the oneplus 3; I don't care for the 3t as it has no major improvements
Was really hoping to order this today! Didn't they do that with the OP3 when it launched? Announced it, then immediately after the announcement, you could order.
Really considering getting this waiting to see when it goes on sale.
I will very likely get one myself.

it will take a few weeks after the launch but oneplus developer has said that after that updates will be identical for 3 and 3t and there will be full support for your device. There is an article on the front of xda about it

Im actually looking to buy a OP3 but might as well fork over $40 more for the 3t. I wonder how long the 3t will last before going out of stock in NA.
I plan on buying on one to replace my moto x pure, my wife is still using my oneplus one and its still running better than most of these newer cells ...
Wish they would makes these world phones, well I should say, compatible with CDMA networks. I've anyways wanted one, but am on Verizon

You won't be able to. OnePlus shut down sales of OP3 permanently. Which is sad because a lot of devs in the forum are saying they won't be upgrading, and won't be supporting.
I myself am going to buy 3T. I wanted to buy 3, but held off when the rumors started about 3T. I need a replacement for my Nexus 5.

Multiple articles on oneplus 3 on xda. One with the owner of oneplus or the head development and they state that after a few weeks oneplus3 and oneplus 3t will be getting the same upgrades at the same time and support is not ending. Will be a few weeks lag but then it'll all be gravy

I just bought mine today. It will arrive at my house Dec 22nd?? Thats a whole month away...hopefully it comes sooner.
Ordered mine last night at 1203pdt. And just got my ship notice. Hopefully will be here by the end of the week if not early next week

Is this phone still worth buying in Feb/March?

my old galaxy S3 stopped working, so I am thinking about getting this phone this month or early next month. Should I buy the 3t, or wait for the 4(5)? Thanks in advance.

Based on your requirement...3T is definitely a good phone and you can even sell and buy a 4/5 once it releases
Of course it is. Is the best smartphone right now.
had an lg g3 that stopped recognising the sim card. replacing the sim/sd card reader may not fix it. I dont want to waste money. wainting for enough people to vote in order to make a decision. dont mind me
i just bought my op3t coming from a nexus 6p
If you desperately needs a new phone...get the 3/T either one is a great option.
If you can wait, wait. All the new phones are coming out, including OnePlus.
Mine just got delivered today. On a whim, I decided to sell my Nexus 6P last Friday and ordered a 128gb 3T on Saturday. The 6P was a good phone, but 1.5 years old and due to be orphaned by Google in Sept. I needed to sell soon while the 6P still had some resale value, and the 3T beats the Pixel specs in all the ways that matter to me, so that's what brought me over. The 3T is one of the most powerful phones currently on the market (if not THE most powerful phone). They shaved a few corners (speakers and screen resolution come to mind, but screen is still very good), but the processor+ram are an awesome combo. The 3T isn't certified for Google Daydream so if that's important to you take it into consideration. Since your S3 is busted I assume you have a spare that will tide you over? If so, then maybe wait it out a couple of months. If not (or if the spare is garbage) then the 3T is a great phone with superior specs.
I believe that it completely makes sense to buy this phone.
Firstly, it has only been 4 months since this phone was released. And 4 months is the perfect time to evaluate how good the phone is, while it's still considered a newly released phone.
Besides, I don't think there'll be any great change in tech between the 3t and 4/5. It'll just be a slightly better version of the 3t, with slightly faster processor, slightly higher RAM (maybe).
Because of the very low prices, OnePlus isn't very great with their R/D. All their previous phones reflect that. They have always picked a safe design and put good hardware in it.
I think that once phones like iPhone 8 are released, the innovations they come up with become a thing. Like wireless charging?, Fingerprint scanner embedded in three screen?.
Till then, I think the 3t will be a great phone without anything lacking in it.
Given you'll have to wait for the 4/5, and also, you don't know how it'll turn out to be, my suggestion would be to go for the 3t.

The reason is that it's a proven phone. Good spec, good battery life, god design and awesome charge capacity. You can always wait because there will always be better phones coming but not all phones will be value for money like 3t. Just got it 3 days back.
For y pay for a OnePlus 3 or 3T and the spec you get... I really don't understand why anyone would not buy one. TBH I don't understand why anyone would pay the premium for a 3T when you can pick-up a 3 for less and the spec difference is so minimal. But that's just my opinion

Ordered mine on Monday. Received on Thursday. Upgraded from Nexus 6 which was my favorite device. Now this is my favorite. It just flies. And I just used my phone for 2 days on a single charge, where my N6 would have died overnight.

Question for a previous Oneplus 3t owner or is the verge of selling their 3T

So for the people that have owned this phone or on the verge of selling it, what makes you guys sold the phone or thinking about selling it?
I'm thinking about getting one right now, do you guys think should I wait for the new oneplus coming out this year?
Thank you
I'd say if you're in need of a phone now, 3t is probably the best choice out there. If not, wait a few months for 5.

Yeah so I pulled the trigger and bought used one on swappa, I gotta say, it's one of the best phone I've used so far. Running Android N 7.1.1 with the newest OS 4.1.1. I can't seem to put this thing down. It will definitely still compete with the 2017 flagship devices.

OP5 buying on release day

Hey folks,
I am waiting for the OP5 and if the rumors/leaks are true, it's going to ship with 6 and 8 gigs of RAM. Which versions would you (recommend to) buy?
And is it worth buying it on the first day?
I am using a half broken Galaxy Note 4 right now since months just waiting for this device. I will either have to buy it on the first day or another month later as I'll be on holiday but I don't want to bother with this broken phone anymore.
Thanks in advance.
If rumors are also true it is going to be a full priced phone. So unless you need something specific that only the 5 will have I might just recommend the 3t!

Between $450 and $500 is still my guess based on previous pricing and it's modest spec upgrade.

Best bumper?

Following hearing bad reviews (bad fittings etc.) about this one:
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/253050877974
Can anyone recommend a good bumper for the 5T?
I currently have a full body Invisibleshield protector waiting to install and think it'd look great having a bumper for the drop protection.
I'm waiting for a Dbrand Grip. Won't be for a few months until they do a 5t one though.
None of the good companies are doing 5t cases /bumpers, because they got burned developing tooling for the 1+5 only for it to be replaced 5 months later by the 5t. Sucks.

And that trend will continue. OnePlus has already announced the 6 and the X2 for next year. They release models without giving them any time to breathe. Its sad but I've come to the conclusion accessory selection will suck for these device. If you want brand name accessories you need to buy a Samsung.
That being said custom ROM support and being able to unlock my phone is more important to me, so I guess as long as OnePlus continues to support the development community and keeps devices prices reasonable I'll continue to buy from them.

I should clarify that, by saying the X2 was just rumors, and lots of sites were circulating these. However, last night OnePlus officially come out and deny these rumors. (My fault for not being entirely clear on that clear on that. My primary point was about the accessories.)
OnePlus quickly debunks bogus rumor of a OnePlus X successor
So maybe we just get a OnePlus 6 and 6T in 2018? As they can't seem to go more than 6 months without a new phone....

6 months?
Oneplus 5 came out, quickly followed by limited edition version
Along came the Oneplus 5t, then star wars edition, then sandstone white, note red.
All in all, consecutive monthly releases since June.
Can't wait for the Oneplus 6!

Thanks for the clarification. I'm planning on keeping my 5T until after the whole in-display fingerprint sensor is through it's 1st run and we see how it works behind a tempered glass protector. An X2 would have been an interesting side device tho, as long as it was reasonably priced.

How bad is the one from the link in the OP?
I'm about to install the Dbrand Camo skin and would feel more comfortable with a bumper on.
