Android Wear on CM 14.1 SEMI-OFFICIAL ROM Issue - Xiaomi Mi 5 Questions & Answers

Hi gang,
Just looking for some help with an issue I have after flashing the CM 14.1 ROM from bgcngm. In that thread another user brings up that they're also having issues using the Android Wear app to pair their phone with their watch, as am I - however bgcngm said that they're having no issues at all.
When trying to open the Android Wear app on the phone, we get this error:
This phone has been flashed with an unsupported configuration for companion. You must re-flash it as either signed/user or unsigned/userdebug.
If there's something we can do on our end to fix this, that would be great news.
Thanks in advance
Edit: Okay, so I might already be bug busting this one myself - it seems on Nougat the version on the Play Store is Wear 2.0, which doesn't seem to want to work. I downloaded a 1.5 APK and installed that and it works just fine. Hmm!

[Q] Is Xposed compatible with KFHD (2012 model)

I'm sorry to bother you but I can't find an answer, when I google closed+kfhd I get all sorts of unrelated stuff. I downloaded the installer but it shows a peculiar message. Its written on the attached picture.
It seems odd to be but not impossible. The install button is a little lighter than the rest so it might not even let me download anything, but I wanted to ask before trying and getting stuck in a bootloop or worse fo no reason.
your android versions is lolipop? (5.0+) isn't support this version
and latest support of xposed is kitkat (4.4.x)
Oh I see... So this was the problem? Thanks for letting me know, I was really surprised, I thought it was a processor issue. I suppose they'll make a lollipop version eventually ^_^

Snapchat lenses

Hello guys ! I was wondering, is it possible to get on our Moto G 2014 snapchat's new functions ?
Thanks in advance ?
snapchat barely works for me
I'm curious about this as well. It says the Lenses feature doesn't really work on older Android devices, but our phone was released just last year. It probably has more to do with the actual specs than anything else though. I've seen people with Galaxy S 5s and iPhone 5s that can't get Lenses to work.
According to comments in Play store the new update is not working on any Android even newest flagmans . Only iOS users can use the new effects, hope they come up with new update so we can have these new features too.
To begin with it didn't work for me, but now it randomly started working lol
It worked for me on Stock rom, but on 5.1 roms didn't. Fortunately there is xposed module called SnapchatLensesEnabler and it work for me on AOSP 5.1. I think it will also work on another roms with xposed installed

HCE Payments stopped working after flashing SlimRom

Hello,
Recently I've downgraded OS from stock(rooted&xposeded) Lolli to SlimRom 4.4.4 .
Offtopic on - I really recommend it, works ultra-hyper fast - Offtopic off
Went to get some snacks and as I used to - didnt take my wallet.
At the checkout I turned WBK app on, NFC and 3g... and nothing, HCE didnt work.
Card was fine, NFC Beam works (used it few hours before). I thought that maybe the terminal was faulty, so tried it in another store - same result, it does not do the beep.
So I need some help,
downgrade to 4.4.4 itself shouldn't be a problem, right? (it used to work on stock Kittykat)
can it be the kernel?
or... do the GAPPS have any influence on it? I've only installed the nano pack (basic Syncs + Google Play Store).
Help me guys, hope u can.
Thanks for reading & have a nice beer

You can confirm if it's an issue with the ROM by flashing an updated lollipop version based on AOSP .
If it occurs on that too, it may be related to your ROM not being able to use system-less root. AFAIK, KitKat can't do system-less root.
Thanks, I'll try this and reply ASAP
It worked, turns out that there wasn't any service to handle tap&pay... although the feature seemed to be enabled.
Back to Lollipop, I think it's close-ready

Update Play Store only with AOSP rom

Hello friends. I hope you can help me. The Play Store can only be updated automatically when installing an AOSP rom such as Lineage OS. When I use a TouchWiz it is impossible to update the applications and I can not do anything. I have tried to clean the cache, do Force Close, uninstalling and installing manually, I even installed the Firmware LP 5.0 to see if it is fixed but can not fix the bug. As I said before I tried everything possible but only updated if I installed an AOSP rom or CM rom. Not that I do not like AOSP roms, what happens is that I lose most of the features in Touchwiz like the Spen, the camera and the VoLte. Even talk with a technician working on Google and via chat we could not solve the problem. Give me suggestions to see if I can react my unit. Thanks in advance and thanks to the Google translator.

Thanks.

Serious issue with all santoni custom roms: Android Auto doesn't work

Guys, you really can't imagine how much I'm nervous and frustrated. I tried almost all custom roms in last two months, but Android Car only works on stock MIUI or custom MIUI eu rom. Every AOSP rom has this issue.
Step to reproduce:
- Install Android Auto
- Grant permissions
- When the app will ask for "draw/display over other apps" permission, grant it.
- Android Car can't detect the permission granted and will never start. It keeps asking for the same permission
Multiple reboots, multiple cache/data deletions, multiple clean flash for multiple different roms, but the issue is still here.
Please help, I need Android Auto but I deeply hate MIUI. I don't know what else I can try, it's sad and frustrating. Help.
Update.
I've tried installing old versions of Android Auto. Nothing changed.

Ok, but every Oreo rom has this issue...
If you have Android Auto compatible vehicle, why still stuck with a $150 phone which can just make-do with custom rom setups?
The issue is still here. I hope some devs can look into this issue, sooner or later.

Nevermind sir. We're here discussing about a problem and your response isn't relatable and not professional.

Not only Android auto but also some other banking apps crash on custom roms. Magiskhide also not working for these.
What you can try make Android auto a system app and then give permission manually. See if works. Android auto supports very few countries so we can't test widely.

Hi, unfortunately I didn't find. Now I'm currently using official AEX Pie by @pyshydv but Android Auto doesn't work.

I tried with the system app stuff but it didn't work. I was having your exact issues but now banking, fingerprint and MagiskHide are perfectly working with latest official AEX Pie, currently the only issue is Android Auto.
I tried your idea with system app, and unforunatelly its not working.
What I've found out is that android auto works with nougat custom roms. this is a small workaround for me because I need Android Auto for car navigation very often.
Does anybody know if a fix for the problem is still in work? Or is AA not significatn enough and there might be no fix in the future?
Any news on this?
Works perfectly on Nougat, but anything newer I tried some time ago never worked. It's an absolutely critical feature, and I have no idea why more people aren't taking about it.
Do you know if it still doesn't work?

Sorry to ask, but... If you "deeply hate MIUI", why did you buy a Xiaomi phone ?
I mean, there are other good phones with equal ratio quality/price, you could have bought another kind of phone...
2 months have passed. Any news on this issue?
Same problem for me... Any news?
Same problem here. Tried Pixel Experience, Lineage OS, it never works if its not MIUI. Any News?
