Soy de Venezuela, como sabrán Venezuela para por momentos económicos muy difíciles, el Gobierno de Chavez y Maduro tienen Prohibido el libre cambio de nuestra moneda a cualquiera del mundo, un familiar que vive en EEUU me regalo 130 dolares en Gift Card en Amazon, estoy pensado en comprar el Moto X 2014 refurbished, mi única duda es que de seguro me vendan una version de AT&T, entonces no podre desbloquear el Bootloader ya que necesito 25 Dolares (de los cuales no puedo conseguir por el control del patético gobierno de Venezuela), existirá algún método para actualizar a Android 6.0 en un dispositivo AT&T sin tener que pagar?, se que los 25 dolares son justo ya que ellos invierten dinero y tiempo y es una forma justa de regresarle el favor, pero lamentablemente no puedo hacerlo, Gracias por su Ayuda.

Sounds like you have a sim lock problem. You might want to call the carrier for help or you might lock your phone.
Tater or others, maybe you can word it in spanish.

Hi there friends. It's my first post and i'm kinda disappointed because i bought and HTC ONE M8 sprint version but i didn't read about it before to buy it and, wow, it doesn't work in Colombia, first of all because it's sim locked (ok, i believe i can try to unlock it according XDA Forums but, second problem.. In colombia, carriers use AWS LTE band (band 4) but this ONE version doesn't have this band enabled. I wonder, bands are software locked or, actually, sprint version isn't capable of using AWS bands at all.
If answer is they are software blocked, could i unblock them installing an international rom and to be able to use my phone in here? or, i have to return phone and to ask money refund. Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, etc., versions have different hardware? Really thank you for your help and sorry for my english.

Me pregunto, las bandas vienen bloquedas por software o, realmente, la versión SPRINT no es capaz de usar la banda AWS en lo absoluto.
Si la respuesta es que están bloqueadas por software, podría desbloquearlas instalando una rom internacional y así poder usar mi teléfono aquí? o, tengo que regresar el teléfono y pedir el reembolso del dinero. Tried unlocking my Verizon Moto e5 Play remotely by a seller on eBay. After it finished. a pop up kept appearing "Motorola modem services stopped working" tapped "close app" several times but it kept reappearing until about the twentieth try another pop up appeared "There's an internal problem with your device, and it may be unstable until you factory data reset". Tried resetting and it still happens. Flashed stock ROM and it still happens.
Any help/advice will be appreciated.

Tengo uno que me paso algo similar, intente desbloquearlo con Sigmakey pero me dejo el imei en blanco y a lanzar errores de modem. Intente repararlo descargando el firmware ODP27.91-121 pero se me quedo en un fallo con letras rojas que dice:
Start Up Failed
Me manda a repararlo mediante Software Upgrade Assistant, pero ese programa se demora un siglo para descargar la ultima actualizacion de ODP27.91-121-4 pero he intentado 2 veces pero siempre se interrumpe la conexion, una ves en 71 % y la otra en el 35 % . Ayuda por favor alguien que tenga ese firmware que pueda compartirlo para reparar mi moto 5 play de verizon.

It's to the best of my understanding Verizon has the bootloades locked in all their phones I believe some Devs have just generated a way for the S8+ using safestrap from my understanding Verizon does not offer code to unlock the bootloader
