Interesting test. I would like to do this too but then again... 64Gb is enough for me normally... on a Android phone...

There is a hack.....but it comes with a huge risk..

Please watch this Youtube video for your solution, but beware or the risks
you could end with damaging your sim or your sd card or your phone sim tray or the phone itself......

For those using the ZX or X performance, it's a no go, you will never get both.
Mod sim and micro sd.

Somehow sony has modded the socket with a switch, once the micro sd card is insert, the switch is moved, this will disable the sim two from being used, this is only a guess. The micro sd mod used has been made so thin that it will fit and works with all hybrid (same direction placement) smoothly, the micro sd card is been filed down thin, not just slap a sim on top and job finished, it has been test with all hybrid phones that has been tested and works.
The adapters show above is a alternative to a mod, and will work with all hybrid, not the ZX or XP.
None of them works on the current Sony unless someone looks into the main board and performs mod or could be software, but I don't think it's the second reason.

that's right, i've tried mod sim + sd card, sony has modified switch between sd card and sim 2, and it's automatic to sd card :crying:
but you can enabled dual sim + memory card, changed something in build.prop "persist.radio.apm_sim_not_pwdn = 1", replacing number 1 with number 0 or 2 or other number

Modify Pocket Loox N100

Hi,
I wonder if there`s any possibilities to moderate/hack Fujitsu Pocket LOOX N100 which has a Windows CE 5 core. The device has a Samsung 300 MHz processor, and 64 MB internal memory. Navigon 6 is installed and the manufacturer says the device is "locked". So would it be possible to hack this device so that it could be used with f.ex TomTom and TCPMP?
I know this is not a phone/pocket pc, but i pray for help anyways
I have tried to hack it. But without any results. There is no active sync, so you can't hack the registry. I made a dump of the update (1.16.0). I can play play Pacman on my own device .....
I know what I want to change, but I can't build a nieuw image for the moment. I'm working on it, but it is a bit difficult!
I did it!
But, I can't deploy the picture yet!

Cool! What did you do, and what are you now able to do? Do you have an image to share?
Any interesting mods for the N100 out yet? How to unlock it is already known, see here: http://www.mediafire.com/?celjlwwzbb1
Hey, it is even a HTC Device...
Especially, any idea how to upgrade the GPS firmware? Using the GPSROUTER command of the boot loader + SirfFlash doesnt work for me, and any of the gps update programs of other WinCE devices dont seem to do the trick either. Im stuck... too bad, from my Loox T830 I already know which firmware I would like to have...

By the way, since some people seem to be still trying:
I did some analysis a while ago on my N100, and I think one main point is that whatever baud rate you set SirfFlash to, it will change to 115.200 in the process. So this is why the GPSROUTER doesn't work I guess.
I was almost (?) as far as being able to at least read the firmware by using this method:
- Find RX and TX lines on the N100 mainboard
- Disconnect them from the system
- Find the TTL level RX and TX lines on a PC mainboard (before the chip that changes the serial voltage +/-12V!)
- connect N100/PC: TX-RX and RX-TX
- connect an oscilloscope to the lines to listen what's up
This is where I found with the oscilloscope that whatever baud rate I set, it seems the SirfFlash always changes to 115.200 after the first initial contact to the chip.
Unfortunately then I was very dumb and destroyed the com port on the used mainboard by creating a short circuit - and that was the end of my trials. The N100 is working Ok, still, after re-connecting the RX and TX lines.
If anyone is interested I might post some pictures about where to find RX and TX on the N100 mainboard later.
Just in case anyone is still trying: Somehow it seems to me that all my experiments to flash update the GPS firmware in the N100 seemed to fail due to baud rate issues. Tracing the serial communication I saw that every time after uploading the data that is supposed to set up the GPS chip to accept the firmware files, the baud rate of the transmissions from the chip side would be at some different value than originally set up. So always the "answers" would not be understood by the PC used for programming. There seems to be no baud rate at which to set up the PC so that the communication works later on. I gave up now, and use the N100 only sporadically anyway...
Long time bump. Just picked one of these up at good will for 1 dollar!!! Don't even know if it works. But I noticed that the plug is not the same as a reg old school USB. Does it use an standard USB? If not are plugs still available? And #2 there was no SD card in it are the maps that were on the USB available?

MY mini SD CARD DIED!

I wake up to a phone call this morning, and I thought it was strange that the default ringer was playing. After the call I looked and found that my SD card isn't being read. I've had the same card for about 6 months. My PC doesn't read the card, it freezes when i try to open the drive in 'my computer'. Any help will be VERY much appreciated, I REALLY need the data thats on this card!
check here
http://www.data-recovery-software.net/
Well this is a trick how i fixed mine in the same situation - and an old memory stick.
On the pc
1. Put card in pc reader but do not put it in usb slot yet.
2. Goto control panel\admin tools\computer management
3. Click on disk management and a list of disks will come up
4. Put reader in usb and wait until card is recognized - it does this way for some reason
5.Right click on your card and format and that should do it.
That program doesn't recognize the sd card either. Now that I think about it, my battery died last night, could that have caused this?
Thanks Mark for your help, its VERY strange, when the card is in my reader flashes every few seconds.. like it knows there is a card in it and it tries to read it. I tried what you said, but all i get is an hour glass and I'm unable to right click and format... at this point I'm more concerned with reviving the card and I dont really care about the contents.
u have tried to do it meschle's way ?
and then try this recovery software on it.
u wanted the data back , there is a solution...
u can also try and run scandisk on it or in commandline : chkdsk <driveletter>: /f
I'm starting to think that the card actually DIED because of my phone battery.. Somehow when the batt died yesterday it took out my sd card. I tried accessing the card with cmd.exe and it freezes my computer! I'm very good with computers, and I've recovered other SD cards that other people have goofed up. But this one is something NEW and it's really frustrating!
as it seems i was to fast and u didnt want the data back but the card
back to work again.
Is it recognised in ur phone ? if yes select the option in system for erasing storage. if no you can still try if it works.
it probably has some bad blocks
btw now that you mention this...
i bought a transcend card 2gb 80x minisd last week and it suffers
from this strange thing that it looses the card after a llittle while
like it gets disconnected.. this seems a bit simmilar to what ur telling now

It is NOT recognized in my phone, my ringtones are stored on the card. Thats how I first noticed that something was up, it was playing the default ringtone that ships with the phone.

Try rebooting your pc as that can help and make sure the contacts are clean on the card - then try again - possible use wm5torage and connect to pc this way so pc thinks card is a memory stick.
The card is corrupted but often retrievable.
Other tricks on the device is to use storage tools or sktools - but if device does not recognize the card prob wont work but worth a shot - both trial versions will format card - google them.
well i assume u know some about computers.
have u tried it on a linux or mac computer to read it contents.
did you get to see something when putting it in the pc-cardreader ?
you can try on the phone to wipe storage and at the moment u press ok
for it to be carried out you put in the minisd.
On my card i found that there where 2 files on it that looked like a cd image
or something similar. i have this thought that there is something strange in the root of this card of mine and the one ur having.

My Phone doesn't even recognize the card so these programs dont help. I have tried two different card readers, and even tried my roommates mac with no change. Can SD cards just DIE like that? I thought that they could only be corrupt. It worked flawlessly for about 6 months.

I can pick up a 2gb one for $20 so its not really worth my time to try to send it back for warranty.
be sure not to buy this transcend 2gb 80x , coz it give strange effects on
the wizard... im mailing with them to come to a solution but it seems the
minisd just dissapeares. while it works great for about 10 seconds in the phone, its totally gone after that
At least your old card can have a good send off
take care enjoy your new 2gb card
btw which 4gb are you using mark ?
as it seems im into buying a new one, might as well be one with 4gb and working with a wizard without nagging or dissapearing

Tilt/ Vista 64bit Sync problems

I searched for about an hour and didn't find anything that seemed relevant before I installed my software I was able to connect my phone and had transfered all tones and pics from my Sony Erickson w810i and the phone showed up as a removable device/disk drive. Now with my software installed, makes the "du-da" sound when I connect the phone but I cant find the device anywhere and the mobile sync app in control panel says no conflicts, no problems. I'm sure it is something really simple I've overlooked, but I cant seem to find out what, any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm gettin a dead link thesire. I've had the same problem forever now, I've figured out that it is due to windows media player trying to sync my storage card. I've tried everything to fix it to no avail. I have to remove the storage card from the phone, then sync it, transfer files to phone memory, disconect from computer, insert storage card, and copy files to the storage card. I guess I could just go get a damn card reader, but that shouldn't be necessary. I just want to fix the damn problem, not work around it.

HELP! SanDisk 64GB micro SD card unable to format

I purchased this about 3 months ago. I've been using it regularly since then and have taken it out and put it back in the phone countless times but last night I took it out, without un-mounting it. I then put it in an adapter to transfer files from my computer to the micro sd. When I put it in my laptop it asks me to format. I then clicked cancel and then put it back on my phone. Now, on my phone it doesn't detect either. All i get is a message that says "Blank Sd card inserted", "format it". After trying countless methods, going into device manager, renaming the drive, downloading the HP micro sd formater etc, I am still unable to recover anything or format the card. I can't even format the card through my phone or PC. All it says is unable to format. My adapter isn't write protected. I have also tried putting the card in my DSLR and tried formatting it in there, but it says it cannot format it.
Is there anything else I can do or is this card dead? Thanks!

Sounds dead as door nails to me... surprising though after only 3 months, that's a good card. It might be worth contacting the place you bought it and asking for a replacement.
Sent from my Paranoid Android GT-N7000. It doesn't get much better than this!

Use that. Worked for me.
I'm having similar issues.
I have the same card, class 10 I think. I recieved it yesterday. The first time I connected the card to the PC it was accesible, with 59GB free and in FAT32 (I think, I don't really remember the filesystem). I reformatted it to NTFS (again, I think, maybe it happened backwards) and started to put some music on it. But something was wrong (maybe with the card, or the adapter, or my PC), the music weren't actually copying, so I forced the process to stop. First trying to kill explorer.exe, then when that failed making a hard reboot. And since then, I always get the same error: unable to format. Maybe I was a little unprotective with the card, disconecting it the hard way sometimes. But then I took concious of that and now I'm beeing very careful about the whole thing.
Is there a way to fix this? I just recieve the card and now do I have to contact amazon and try to get a replacement?
This is my adapter, it has a few years now, I'm surprised that it can recognise microsd cards up to 64GB:

Happened to me last time and no choice but to get a new one. Ive also tried all the possible solutions, still give it a try and might work on you. Hope you can still recover it and I know how bad it feels.
I need to know if it has something to do with the adapter or is just that the card is corrupted before this monday to proceed with the refund on amazon.
Please, can someone clarify me something? Thank.
And also, are these microsd reliables? Because it seems to me that they autocorrupt themselves after a while, and it's like a lottery when you buy one...
Is it also a sandisk card? If it is try contacting sandisk and ask if the card is genuine or not they may ask you send pictures of the package that it came with and the front and the back of it. They may also ask you to try and read the series of numbers and letters on the back of the card to confirm its authenticity. Sandisk contact number is 866 72634 75
Use diskpart in CMD.
Then format it in FAT32. =)

Could be your adapter. Do you have any of those microSDHC to SDHC adapters instead?
Is it possible to put the microSD card into your phone and then connect your phone via USB....see if diskpart can find it then?
I have the adapter from microsdxc to sdxc but again, I don't think I have a sdxc reader, only sdhc.
I can put the sd on my SGS3 but I can't do anything from there.
Yeah I suggest another compatible reader that supports that capacity of card like another phone/reader. But based on your problem there are certain cards that gets corrupted after loading a certain amount of files where they manipulate how the card capacity will be read by the computer. I have encountered cards (microsd specifically) that shows on my computer as 4GB but in actual they are only 512mb so once I transfer files higher than 512mb it will get corrupted.
Don't get offended but I also checked the Sandisk Site for mobile cards and unable to find information about a microsdXC card
Sandisk MicroSDs
The only information that I have that has 64GB are Ultra cards
Sandisk Ultra Cards
If it still won't work on a different device contact amazon then tell them the problem so they can refund/replaced the card I think it usually takes 3-7 days depending on amazon. Also all sandisk cards have the word "Sandisk" on their cards(forgot about that important detail)
OK, thanks for all of your feedback

MicroSD card unmount in randomly 10 times a day

So since day 1, my Sandisk 64 GB microsd card is unmounting and remounting probably 10 tomes a day. I have put this microsd card in my old note 2 and it works perfectly.
Does anybody else here have there MicroSD card unmounting and remounting randomly theoughout the day?
There are a lot of posts about SD card issues. Just to sum it for you, "QUOTE...."
1. SanDisks are not liked. Avoid them at all cost if you can.
2. Try reformatting it in your phone and not the computer to ensure that the destination device installs any integral driver files or reference files on the SD and partitions it properly. Just put it in your phone -> settings -> storage -> reformat your card.
3. SanDisks are known to be unreliable and deteriorate quickly. They used to make decent cards, but now the integrity of their cards is ...well..."garbage."
I'd recommend you get a Samsung card...either the Evo or the Pro. At this point you have to ask yourself if you're willing to keep putting up with this.....is it worth it to potentially lose all your files sometime in the unknown future?
On a side note, Google stopped supporting SD function in the source at Class 6 when Ice Cream Sandwich ended. Although SD cards have advanced, the source hasn't. The only cards that I have had ZERO problems with are Samsung. This is why I keep saying, go Samsung....from real world experience.
Do a search though and you'll find a lot of info., more so validate everything that I've said.....although I've summed it up.
Hope this helps....

Yeah, I'm having that same issue with the SanDisk that worked perfectly before in the Note 2. I've formatted on the pc, and in the phone.
I'm pretty much fed up at this point and bought a Samsung evo one.

I'm pretty much fed up at this point and bought a Samsung evo one.

Im in the same boat as all you guys i was afraid it was the note 4 see how the sd worked fine n still does work fineBin my note 3 ive formatted and everything its just funny theres no problem with my 32gb
I still have this problem on my Note 4. I tried to solve problem with SD card formatting, factory reset, stock and custom firmware but all that was unsuccessful. Finally I figured out that SD card unmounts because of overheating. When your phone is on heavy load CPU chip reaches temperatures above 70 Celsius which is high temperature for stable work of memory cards. CPU chip is located on the other side of the board where is slot for memory card. See on images below.

I hope that this will be useful to someone who still use Note 4.
