LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.1 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
Base source code is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to the project, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.

Everything except 'broken' stuff

I can't test but... It's says beta. Maybe is possible. Try to provide logs, also using last firmware.

hey guys, has anyone tested this? has losing signal problem gone?

Thanks a lot. Unlike the previous version we now even start with everything (including radio) working ! Fantastic. I will test this later, including the Wifi that Sjarjah is complaining about.

New link is up. WiFi was indeed broken due to some mess during compilation. Now it's fixed.

there's another issue it's keeps rebooting after installing the new rom

Please take a screenshot of Phone and Message apps. Thanks for the great rom.

Link for the download not found.... why?!
you have to upload the file?

Okay, this has to go with permissive SELinux for now, until all denials are properly handled. I'll upload a new build soon.

I can confirm this. Best to start installing and skip wifi. The phone can than be used normally for a short time. However upon enterin a Wifi password, you will end in a boot-loop. You cannot recover from that, unless you factory reset the phone.
Trying to change settings also results in spontaneous reboots.. Unless you succeed in reaching air plane mode you will not be able to use phone at all. Switching on air plane mode makes it usable in a certain way. But without internet or phone that is a limited pleasure...

Just give me some time. This device is no longer my daily driver.

New link is up. Ready to roll!

Keep in mind that for now this is just an alpha, take it like an early preview. Quite a lot hasn't yet been ported to Lineage, so please don't report issues like: "broken buttons backlight".
Awesome! Can't believe how quick you guys are in getting Android Oreo booting! Exciting times

is it just me? I am experiencing a cell issue, when I receive a call I can hear the person but they cannot hear me. When I make a call I cannot hear the person nor can they hear me.
I am using the J530G dual sim variant and on SIM 2 port. My SIM 1 port is damaged.
On stock firmware, it works fine and on another ROM I used it also worked fine.
Is this rom dead?
Yeah
Sent from my [device_name] using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Could anybody help me out why this rom keeps crashing during boot on my J530F ? Re-installed TWRP 3.2.1.0 but the phone hangs when starting up at the AOSIP logo. It crashes about 6 /10 times and my J530f seems totaly stuck then. Have to reset it like 3 times before it will start again.

@IKGapirov,
cool, kitkat with security level February 2019, thanks for your great work
Cool work, but your source links don't quite make sense. You link show you use the lineage klte device tree and the 8974 kernel.
If you updated the klte 11.0 tree to use one of the branches of the 8974 kernel and that works then cool beans, go ahead and upload that to Lineage Gerrit and I'll probably merge it.
If it's the bare 11.0 branch of the klte device tree then you should update the kernel link to reference the klte kernel. In that case, you should caution users that the kernel has massive vulnerabilities, so the platform updates are cool but they shouldn't have a false sense of security.

You are right – I didn't get that far this morning, I just made a backup (after minor modifications in settings). This eve I could restore it once, connected to wifi and logged in to PlayStore. Then I read your post and tried to reboot – fail! After that, even restoring like before didn't work any more. The phone gets stuck showing the lineage logo, in a way, that I have to remove the battery. Pressing power button or recovery combination has no effect. So I laughed too soon...
It hangs on lineage logo, after reboot...
Nice speed ROM. Unfortunately no Sim card.
G900FD?
Is there a version for G900FD?

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10 (Q), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
And if you would like to contribute to the project, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.

it's not a port, it's source built ROM.
I'll check that yellowish screen issue.
Yelowish screen was due to display mode set to Auto in LiveDisplay option.. Turned it off

Thats great! I was thinking its a port... Being source built is why it is unbelievably smooth..
Also, I was wondering - Since the battery life is the only area for this ROM which could use some improvements, can I flash optimusdrunk kernel 90hz over this build? Thanks in advance ur work much appreciated :good:

I already know. I expected that to happen, which is why I kept that red colored warning on OP.
