Thats always possible but the d2w version seems less stable and causes issue when d2w is turned off. Thats just my past experience and may not be true for everyone. Thats why m little cautious.
Also kernels by rainforce279 are always awesome and thanks to him for developing them

Awesome ..... Thank you so much !!!!!!!!!!!

FAQ's
How can I enable sweep2wake, sweep2sleep and doubletap2wake in this kernel?
- To do this, first open up a terminal. Then type:
For sweep2wake:
Code:
echo [mode] > /sys/android_touch/sweep2wake
For sweep2sleep:
Code:
echo [mode] > /sys/android_touch/s2w_s2sonly
For doubletap2wake:
Code:
echo [mode] > /sys/android_touch/doubletap2wake
Modes available:
0 - disable
1 - enable
How to set the vibration intensity with ThunderQuake Engine?
- Again, open up a terminal. Type:
Code:
echo [value] > /sys/kernel/thunderquake_engine/level
Values available: 0 - 7
Why none of my videos are playing and I'm having issues with viper4android?
- Just change your selinux mode to permissive with the help of an app called selinux mode changer. Google it.
Install that app, then open it and tap on permissive to enable the permissive selinux mode. Also tick the box that shows you the notification when the selinux mode is changed.
That's it, now after every reboot selinux will be set to permissive and all those issues will be gone.
Help me! This bug has caused me XYZ issue!!
- Simply take a logcat of the issue and then post it here.
Little OT is OK, but go too far and you will get a warning!
Thanks

Adapt, improve and evolve!
Info:
Guys I created this kernel to Moto G 2013 (Falcon/Peregrine) and Moto G 2014 (Titan/Thea) in other words MSM8226 Motorola SoC baseds to learn, adapt some "unstable and unsafe" things as well to give a new life to my device, the plan is to support all Android versions avaliable for our device, I plan to do a better kernel with time and help of the comunity. This kernel is a nightly I will do it when I have a freetime or LineageOS update their sources or I add new features, it aims to be a rich feature kernel and a "perfection balance" between battery life and performance, this can be a UNSTABLE kernel, my routine will be build, upload and test, so stay tuned! I am open to suggestions. This is a kernel that don't work out-of-the-box the objetive of this kernel is give power to the user.
This kernel DO NOT WORK WITH STOCK MOTOROLA/GOOGLE PLAY EDITION ROM or IDCRISIS or AOSPARADOX.

or
By app:
2. Flash it using Flashify or similar app from Playstore.
The kernel scripts backup your current boot.img so if you want to restore just use Flashify or TWRP.
The Bootlogo:

1. Reboot to recovery > Install > Chose the bootlogo zip > Confirm to flash > Reboot and enjoy.
2. Flash it using Flashify or similar app from Playstore.
3. Extract the zip and on mfastboot (or just fastboot) enter this command: fastboot flash logo logo.bin
Recommendations/Tweaking
Gov Tuner a mod to tune govs based on profiles for better battery life, better performance, or a balance., I have added a lot of sound patchs but A.R.I.S.E. will blow your mind! so if you want a better sound on your Moto G I suggest you A.R.I.S.E the best one in my opinion or just Viper+Dolby. And the best of the best tweaks app LSpeed just download and select a profile from main screen and fell it! or tune it by yourself!
To tweak use Kernel Adiutor from Playstore (or XDA Link), the Kernel Adiutor-Mod (fork with more experimental features) at XDA or Synapse You will need this zip and download Synapse app from Playstore.
Info about tweaking kernel The best guide to it!

How to git and build
Setting up and building
Basics of GIT
- How to build my kernel:
Code:
export ARCH=arm
export SUBARCH=arm
export CROSS_COMPILE=/path/to/toolchain/bin/arm-eabi-
make mrproper (cleans config files)
make clean (cleans already builded files)
make falcon_defconfig (or you device_defconfig)
make menuconfig (if you want to tweak the config)
make (I use this too -o2 -j4 CONFIG_DEBUG_SECTION_MISMATCH=y CONFIG_NO_ERROR_ON_MISMATCH=y)
How to cherry pick commits
Basically to cherry pick a commit you have to have it source and branch, this is a simple how to do it
First of all you need to set your upstream since it is a fork of CM/LOS or STOCK source:
Code:
git remote add upstream linkingithub.git
For example
Code:
git remote add upstream https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_kernel_motorola_msm8226.git
so if you want to cherry pick a commit from me
Code:
git remote add bryanbytez mysourcelink.git
and after that you need to have my source locally but stay calm this wont mess you source
Code:
git fetch -all
To merge upstream changes (From CM/LOS or Motorola)
Code:
git merge upstream/cm-13.0
This will merge upstream cm branch cm-13.0 in your source code.
Misc help:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2319018 (about boot.img, ramdisk and others)
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/2816715/branch-from-a-previous-commit-using-git (Unlike me you can just revert or create another branch based on the commit and not delete the whole source code )
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/4410091/github-import-upstream-branch-into-fork (Import a upstream branch on your fork)
And to revert a git: git revert sha1, example git revert eab5c8fef098548f0f00085196bbf40f41bf8ba1

Waiting for it. Amazing job, good luck and thanks!
Edit: Just downloaded Peregrine CM14.1 kernel, will flash and comment later.
Works good. I though the kernel had the option to change the CPU max freq when screen is off. I'm wrong?
Edit: Going to comment in original thread!

I will look indo it.
Please the ones who test it report back with battery life, performance and stability.
using the kernel now on cm14.1, amazingly fast.:good:
still with no tweaks and battery optimization to check the battery life.
hopefully get better battery life than stock kernel.
thanks for the kernel @BryanByteZ.
fairly well as mostly on 4g.
Guys I will bring back MSM Limiter (per core cpu max min freq and gov) and independent headphone gain but will be necessary use Kernel Adiutor Mod (at least for using this features).
Guys a new version will come soon as I end my tests and we now will have full support of kernel adiutor in download tabs soon as grarak push a new version. And I considered a stock variant too. So big surprises await

Not yet buddy, I don't have a PC anymore. Burned motherboard.
The cell phone gets very hot, the processor frequency drops to 1094mhz and 998mhz, and it gets very slow. Can you disable SoC's Temperature Control?

No, i dont have a PC at the moment. Try to use coolify app.
So I am running latest RR and tried the stock kernel, kamari and this one. I had better battery on stock and kamari but this kernel is much smoother and faster. The OC on the CPU makes a huge difference. Looking forward to more development on this kernel! But I don't seem to be able to OC GPU?

FAQ section
FAQs
[Q] This kernel works in stock rom?
NO, this kernel is based on lineage sources and works on Lineage 14.1 and all other AOSP 7.x.x roms.
[Q] Got errors during flashing/after flashing this kernel...what to do now?
Well if you are coming from any other kernel you must dirty flash your rom once to avoid any conflicts. After dirty flashing your rom flash this kernel and you won't face any problems. Also use twrp latest version (recommended)
[Q] I am having some random reboots/bugs...what to do?
Just report it with last_kmsg which is located in /proc/last_kmsg or in case of any bugs report it with logcat and proper information about how you encountered it.I will do my best to resolve it asap.
[Q] how to tweak this kernel for advanced features (like dt2w on/off,s2w on/off or changing cpu governor or i/o sechdulors) ?
Use kernel adiutor app for playing with the kernel and change the settings according to your own taste.
[Q]How to ask for any features ?
You can ask in this thread...if I find feature useful and logical then it'll be added...I would appreciate if you link me with commit. It's really hard to dig in the sources and find the exact commit.
Double tap to wake is there ??
No i have not added it yet...but i am planning to add it soon...many more features are going to be added
Update R2
Hello guyss...here comes a big update Paradox R2.Many features have been added and many things have changed to make it better.

[KERNEL][7.x][i9300] Hybrid

Hello everyone! I want to present you this kernel based on Boeffla-Kernel with so many improvements, features and customizations.
For the configuration, I recommend Boeffla Config app. For beginners, just flash this kernel and forget.
If you want to even customize every part of your phone, you can modify INT, MIF and ABB voltages, install Synapse kernel manager
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for anything that happens to your device. This kernel is tested by me but it is not impossible that something bad may happen to your device due to unstable settings.
Features (See the changelog for more details):
Supports both Experimental LineageOS and Official LineageOS (and its derivatives)
Enhanced memory management
FIOPS I/O scheduler
Working magisk hide
Passes the safetynet check
arm optimized instruction set
Compiled using UBERTC GCC 7.2.1
Link time optimization
SELinux set to permissive by default
F2FS: Backported some changes from Linux 4.3
F2FS: Fully backported from Linux 4.2
F2FS Backported from Linux 4.2 (by @arter97). As you know, CM kernels use f2fs backported from Linux 3.17, but this kernel uses a higher and much updated version.
Supports undervolting CPU, GPU, MIF and INT (thx @AndreiLux). Most kernels allow undervolting CPU and GPU ONLY but this kernel allows you to undervolt almost everything.
Adaptive Body Bias Control (thx @AndreiLux)
Supports over clocking up to 1.8GHz
Multicore power saving control
Doze enabled by default
Improved caching and memory management
all Boeffla and Elite Boeffla Kernel goodies
and much more including internal improvements and backports

I use zzmoove governor - yank battery extreme. And undervolt cpu and gpu (you can use the undervolt profiles in the app. Just start with -25mV). If you want to even go further, you can undervolt MIF and INT. You can even adjust the abb voltage. But they are more advanced.
I also recmmend using the presets in the app

Hi)
Have you implemented HWC in your kernel or you planning this in the next releases?

Did you remove touchbuttons support by kernel ? There was setting on boeffla / display tab on first build of your kernel to control touch buttons . they remain off even i touch screen. Now not supporting

You can disable it in the settings. I think lineageos has a setting for it. Just look for buttons-> hardware buttons-> then look for illuminate buttons

Yes or maybe?. Because there is also a ROM side implementation. I applied @forkbomb444's commits to this kernel so you can use his experimental lineageos which has a working hwc(only portrait mode)

Thanks i was talking about touch led settings. As this picture. I illuminated buttons from rom settings and check to control them by kernel. They remain off when i touch screen and work only if i touch them with 3 seconds illumination timeout. Works excellent on your initial build of your kernel.
On 2nd build this setting disappeared from boeffla app . Could you check it please ? Its very important for battery life , the hw buttons to work only when we touch them and no when we touch the screen every time.

Wow ! New kernel
Downloading!:good:
Nice
Great work. Gone try on unstable pie too ...??? Can't wait after it bake ...
Just tried installing Shadow, was hit with a bootlooping Moto splash screen. I've been using UD kernel for a long time, never had that happen when upgrading and wiping cache and Dalvik.
Currently running LOS 14.1-07282018 build and TWRP 3.2.3.0 and UD 8.0 (had low volume issues with 9.0), everything back to normal.
Any ideas?
Can confirm causes bootloop on osprey XT1541.

Shadow v2.0 has fixed the bootlooping issue, works just fine now. Just need to give it a day or two to see how it performs speed and battery-wise.
One missing feature I've noticed compared to UD kernel is the color correction ability. I use EX Kernel Manager, and I always had a color menu that I used to turn up the saturation slightly to mimic an OLED screen. That feature is now gone...is this an oversight, Ahmed?
