overclocking our Diamonds (MSM72XXX) to 768 MHz
Read this:
"Touch Pro running at 800MHZ???
I swear it’s working, really, see screen shot attached… Short story – I knew that the number of clocks on MSM devices are limited (Actually, that’s a pretty relative term – the MSM has a LOT of clocks for a single chip), the main problem is that there isn’t that much resolution with the clocks, and that there aren’t that many high clocks to choose from – in fact if you look at the clocks available on MSM devices, we have:
TCXO: 19.2 MHz (for CDMA clock)
GlobalPLL: 800MHz
BackPLL0: ? MHz
BackPLL1: 1.056GHz
PLLTest: ? MHz
USB: 48MHz
Sleep: ? MHz
So the standard frequencies for the MSM are obtained by BackPLL1 / 2= 528MHz or GlobalPLL / 2 = 400 (384) MHz.
But just a few minutes ago, a lightbulb lit up in my head, why not just TRY setting GlobalPLL / 1 for the applications ARM? … And to my surprise, the device didn’t freeze.. it worked just fine actually. And there is a noticeable improvement in speed ( ~ 330 integer @ 528 MHz , ~456 integer @ 768 MHz).

I guess this’ll be finalized into a tool for some sort. Guess overclocking this thing was possible =p.
Note: Before I get a bunch of stuff about 1.056 GHz, no, it didn’t work on my Touch Pro, it locked up!"

has anyone tried this on their Diamond yet? How badly does it effect battery consumption??

a beta version of the tool is out, I can't test it since my diamond is in service.
Judging by the comments on the original page, it works for some users, although not 100% reliable yet.

i can´t overclock my diamond - i can set max 528 MHz, of course i can go on lower values....

Just tested on my Diamond and it just restarted. Mine can't handle clock speed of 768mhz.

overclocking is probably due to the use of co-processor that has the function of modem. So, that overclocking is only possible with phone off.

killed the phone process and this time it jost froze. no restart.
i was wondering though if someone could edit the program so it overclocks to say 628mhz??

Overclock working just wonderfully over here Nice speed up.
2 Days on battery now...

I did not hope that this overclocking will work- and was proved wrong.
HTC Touch Diamond, happily running at 768 MHz. Opera significantly snappier, iGo8 also faster. The device does not seem to be any warmer.
I would love to know if this overclocking increases the top speed at which the processor will run or shifts up all its frequencies i.e. idle and low load ones?

Not working all on Diamond with ROM KIMERA_v4.4_REVOLUTION_WWE after many attempts, including after deactivating all communication.
It always freeze immediately.

why the ascend P7 has no gyroscope?

Hi everyone, I have been looking for a new phone, and I found this really nice one, the ascend p7, but I checked its specs and it has no gyroscope, I did a research about it and I found that a gyro is kind of mandatory if you want to play games where you have to tilt the phone. I also checked the old ascend p6 and it has a gyro and even a temperature sensor, but I would like to know the reason why HUAWEI thought that the gyro was not important anymore and the decided no to put one in their new flagship device.

Yes, it has gyroscope, you can watch photos, videos, movies, play games using landscape or portrait mode manually or automatically. This is a christmas video using landscape mode in the P-7.

Man what it uses to rotate the screen is the accelerometer. I have read that the accelerometer can for fine alone but when it is combinen with the gyroscope it works even better because the gyroscope help the phone read more precise movements and therefore the gaming experience is going to be much better

p7 has gyroscope... have a look to this screenshot with cpu-z app.. there is the gyroscope output
a little test is to use for example google camera and select photosphere function... without gyro you will never have the possibility to take 360° photo and complete the sphere (i've tried with my old phone with only accelerometer and was impossible)

man in the gyroscope part you get 0,0,0. could it be because the phone has no gyroscope?

It does have another number because when taking that picture the Cell Phone did not move....
See this picture, while moving the cell phone the gyroscope is moving. In the scale shows how it goes up and down. If I do not move the cell phone the horizontal line remains in "0"

yeah thermal throttling is there to stop the cpu overheating and damaging itself and other components . anyone with any sense will avoid this crap like the plague . i see hes pushing this crap on telegram too !

dont make it all in one , i dont want to install unnecessary stuff

I installed the pixel plus UI, this ROM comes with CPU monitor, the clock core 0 - 3 round 300 - 1900 Mhz the core 4 - 7 300 - 2.4 Mhz

but the difference is noticeable at first, the clock speed in these Rome is higher than the speed that miui brings by default

the temperature, watching videos and not doing anything demanding, is between 37 - 40 degrees, while playing it rises to a exigent games or doing exigent tasks the temperatures increase to maximum of 45 degrees

is this compatible in A13 roms? like pixel exp.?
