Testers needed for RessurectionRemix - Moto G4 Play Guides, News, & Discussion

Hey everyone,
I have compiled RessurectionRemix 5.8.0 for Harpia. I would really appreciate it if someone can test it for me. I would test it myself but my mom is using the device for some time.
Thanks in advance

Is the SIM Card working for my device? And camera? Is the xt1600

Camera works. Saving photo to ext sd works. 4g, 3g and 2g worked in Dual SIM on Both slots. Calling did not work in Both cards. I could call. But No voice on Both and I couldnt hang.
I own a XT1602
Nice work!

No RIL in the XT1601 dual sim.

A huge thanks to all testers
To people who have used cm-14.1 earlier , have you found any additional bugs on RR?

I have the same bug that in cm14.1😞😞 I do not receive calls and the aforementioned end call (

I can make calls, my home phone rang but I heard no sound when I tried to talk to myself through there, calls also do not hang up, it just hangs on hanging up. Outgoing SMS works, incoming SMS does not work. Other than that things seem to be working fine.

I'm kind of a "ROM-a-holic". I like to try new ROMs all the time. I really like SlimKat (by "jfbs"), but I've noticed that the volumes seem to be very low...even when I have them turned all the way up I have a hard time hearing the caller. Am I just imagining this or have others noticed this? I've been using it for several weeks and really like it, but will probably go back to CM11 for awhile (until SlimKat gets another update) and see if I notice differences in the volumes. If anyone else notices this issue maybe they could pass it along to jfbs. I love all the great work everyone is doing with the ROMs for this relic of a phone!!

I don't have slimkat, but I used slimbean for a long time. I had a similar volume issue there. What worked with slimbean was actually to click volume _down_ one click and then turn it up. Maybe that workaround will fix your problem. Good luck.

Different ROM and 2 minutes clock delay [SOLVED]

Hello
I and my father have S3 mini NFC version , we have issues with the clock on some ROMs. I thing when we are not connected on wifi or mobile data clock have delay about 2 minutes, but this issue we have only on some roms. On my S3mini I am using Vanir rom 100214, on this rom I dont have this issue but yesterday I install Paranoid beta 5 20141016 (tenshi_xp) and I got clock delay ( I thing when i am not connected on wifi or mobile data) but Paranoid beta 2 dont have this issue. My father have installed Omni rom (Golden-guy), last version where not this issue is 20140910, every newest versions have this issue. In settings Date and time we have enabled on every rom Automatic date and time, and Automatic time zone. Yesterday father trying app from GP "ClockSync" but this not fix this. I am search on google, that our provider ( O2 Slovakia ) supports NITZ, but I dont thing that there is problem because on omni 20140910, Paranoid beta 2 and Vanir 100214 (newest vanir i am not trying yet) not have this.
Have this issue someone else and know how to fix it ?
On photo is in the left side Nexus 7 (2012- WiFi version- Installed SlimKat), in the middle 2x S3 mini, and on the right side HTC desire S (CM - 4.2.2)
I have the same problem with my S3 mini using OmniROM. It worked fine for me also, and my provider supports NITZ too (Orange Romania). I'd like to find a fix for this annoying problem.
Guys, just had a look at this clock drift and I think I might come up with a viable solution. Will post an update later today or tomorrow!

Is GPS working for anyone? I can't get a anything to show on this ROM or Liquid.
I wish I could get a lock, because this baby is super snappy!
I want to apologize for the lack of updates. I embarked on this project at a time when life is hectic for me and so i have had very little time to actually hunt down some of these issues. I'm hoping to do some poking around this week and figure out the GPS issues at the least. I'm not sure what's going on with it...nothing shows up in any logs as far as i can see at first glance but something is obviously up somewhere.
Its not just this ROM. Liquid has issues too. I think cm12 also. Its weird, some people have great success and other have none.
Agree, I've had no GPS issues on any of the ROMs for this device.. Pure Edition and always clean flash and wipe everything

I was aware of that fact...it just makes no sense even more considering this...if it was some file or something missing it would happen to everyone and it would trow some sort of error i would think....

Lets try a shot in the dark...can you try this for me...1.fresh boot 2. turn on High accuracy location mode 3. Open up GPS Test let it sit for a few min(or till it gets a lock) then send me a logcat of all this so i can compare...it's something to look at at least...on another note i found a fix for the WiFi hotspot...even tho for CM it seems to have fixed itself somehow it still was not working for me with slim and i could not locate any commit in CM source to affect this so i figured out my own fix...might be temporary as i will still try to hunt in CM source but won't take too much time on that

possible no-call-audio fix kernel, need testers!

hey everyone
After much hard work I *think* i have developed a unified kernel for all 920 variants including F / I / S / K / P AND T
It *should* fix the no call-audio bug
Please PM me if you want to test it out i dont have a T variant so can only rely on you guys and gals
I don't think I have seen anyone on the 920T complain about no audio in a call. Could be I am blind and lucky that it hasn't happened to me.

does this mean we (tmobile gs6) users can flash international roms and use your kernel to make the rom work 100%?
That's the idea. T-Mobile users will lose volte and Wi-Fi calling though
this should also work on the W8 Canadian variant right?
Hopefully this can be implemented on the edge variant as well if it's fixed. I want to try other roms so bad.

would love to see this when it is done and working, sad to say our limited access to roms at this point is stifled more so by not being able to get sound in calls when everything else within the rom seems to work fine with the int versions.
We've figured out exactly whats causing it. The question is can it be made universal. So far no. But we have some ideas still and another mind as well looking at it with us.

[INFO] Android Open Source Project MM, N & O

Hi Folks
Note about this TOPIC:
It's only the development progress of this custom rom.
Each time I solve a bug, will be strike and once is ready will be released so don't ask for ETA.
Working Features will be strike (that mean is fixed) :
ADB.
Audio.
Bluetooth.
Browser.
Camera.
CPU with my own kernel & ramdisk.
Deep Sleep.
Display.
External Storage.
GPS.
Graphics: gralloc & hwcomposer (has been disabled, will back on it as latest thing to fix).
Internal Storage.
Playback: Audio & Video .
Recording: Audio & Video.
NFC.
RIL.
Sensors.
Wifi.
Reserved
I'll post more screenshots until fix new bugs
Wait, so the striked things are working? Because you wrote working features: and then the working things are striked? Thats a bit confusing. I saw your progress on github just a few minutes ago. Looks promising. Do you think you can fix video recording? You commited a camera fix [1/2], This would be awesome.
Thanks a lot for your work, looking forward to a release.

I'm trying to fix the easiest bugs for first and yes, the strike is mean has been fixed, I also fix the cpu bug, as i see it's related to ramdisk, not the kernel (I use my own one not from OpenKirin), as you see the result is near to 31k points.
for video recording yes fixing it not so hard, will give a look.

Hi! Amazing job! I can't wait to be released and test it out.
I cannot belive how fast you solved the bugs when the OpenK team has 4 people, I belive, and still solving bugs kinda slow.
A good developer shows through its speed and bug fixing, and that is you! "Fast and Furious Developer",

A good developers shows through the outcome. Not essentially the speed. Why would a bugged out end product that was created in 2 days be better than a great product that took a week? The speed is just an side point. Haky has been working on this phone for a long time, afaik, he knows the device and knows what to do. And if you read his reply, he used some OpenKirin code. Btw this is no hate against haky or anyone, just wanted to point out, that the speed isn't the main indicator for a good developer.
