How to get Camera2 API on Lenovo A7000? Is it even supported? - Lenovo A7000 Questions & Answers

I was wondering whether there was any way to get Camera2 API on Lenovo A7000? It'd be nice to get manual focus (like DSLR ) and RAW capture. I'm currently on CM13 maintained by HDHR. I have tried AOSP 5.0, CM12.1 etc, but none of these support Camera2 API. Is it some kernel issue? If yes, which kernel should I use?
Oh! And I have tried the method available for Redmi Note 3. It didn't work as expected. Someone please tell me whether it is at least possible or not.
Thanks.

Camera2 api and raw photography with custom roms.

i'm looking for a custom rom whith fully functional camera2 api, until february everything was working fine with the official rros, form the update of 25 feb i can't make any "pro" camera app work correctly. i tried some other roms and discovered that the Phoenix AOSP Extended has "functional" camera2 api, but there are problems, the stock camera port has the option to save RAWs but if that option is enabled it won't save anything at all, other apps (like manual camera) save correcly but the screen is always solid green. my question is: is there a custom rom with fully functional camera 2 api? or is there a way to have working camera2 api in rros (i think this is very unlikely without asking the devs)?
i prefer not going back to stock because of OMS and some features of the custom roms.
thank in advance.

Slowmotion on OP3T with LineageOS 15.1

Hi, can someone tell me when and if there will be option to record 720p slowmo on OP3T with LineageOS 15.1 ? Or if someone got this working please?
I can't do that even with modded Gcam and Magisk module for enabling HEVC and Slowmo... Ported Oneplus cam also tried... thx
Slow motion video is currently broken on all Oreo ROMs for the 3(T), OnePlus broke it in Oreo but maybe they'll fix it with the Pie update.

It will never be fixed in Oreo, especially as development is moving to Pie now. There are several Pie ROMs already. I suggest asking in those threads what the current situation is. If the camera is that important to you, you might want to stick with stock software. Custom ROMs are getting worse and worse for camera support.
I have also tried some old version of Snap camera from LineageOS and there slowmo works fine with no problems !! xD so problem isn't with the system right? In GCam mod slowmo crashes even with that HEVC+Slowmo magisk module.

Question Camera2 Api in Pixel Experience Rom

Hi, I just flashed pixel experience rom on my redmi note 10 pro, but realised that the camera quality was bad in all apps. When I installed camera2 api probe I noticed that camera2 api wasn't enabled. Even gcam won't work as intended. I have TWRP installed but my phone is not rooted. Can someone tell me how to enable camera2 api without rooting my phone? Thanks.
