Found a strange problem.
I did what you wrote in the description about installing the rom through twrp. But i get Dm-verity.
I have .28 twrp version . F2Fs done. and still i get the thing? Dont know why? :S

I am on open beta 10. Can i flash this update via stock recovery?

Can you add into your instructions how to get f2fs via TWRP. For those of us who are either on 2.2.8 or beta 10 and running ext4.

Instruction:
NB: Changing to f2fs will erase all data. Take nand backup and keep it safe somewhere like PC/usb
Ext4 will show DM-verity error
1.Install Titanium backup
2.Backup settings and user apps
3. Copy to PC
4. Goto wipe-- system -- repair and change to f2fs
5. Repeat the step for data also
6. Mount and copy rom.zip and supersu2.79 sr1
7.flash from and flash SuperSU
8.reboot and complete.install Titanium and restore data back
Best way to install:
1. flash oxygen recovery
2. adb sideload Rom.zip
3. boot to fast boot and flash twrp28
4. Boot to recovery and install supersu2.79sr1
5.reboot and enjoy
Zero errors in second method.working like charm

According to @Chainfire the root method on 6.0 is systemless and removing root will require flashing your boot.img only. I'm not sure we have that yet on this device

Uhm here's the difference. The 62x MB update is an incremental update which requires one to be in December build before flashing. The 83xMB update doesn't require. You can make the path to 6.0 regardless of the build you're on.

Thanks for inspiring me, now we can do it simpler (magisk required) with https://github.com/Magisk-Modules-Repo/xposed i've successfully installed framework and some module with it, because I have been tried like your explained on this thread, working well-installed Xposed framework but when try to install module always got boot loop.
Now I'm used magisk-xposed on infinix x510.

YOU HAPPY WITH NOUGAT!!!
HowTo by; @algnerd
If you have a L31 variant, here what you need to do:
Put Update.Zip and update_data_full_VNS-L31_hw_eu.zip on you external sd card;
1. Reboot into Meticulus' TWRP (use google don’t ask for it here);
2. Flash the update.zip;
3. Flash the update_data_full_VNS-L31_hw_eu.zip;
4. Flash Revolution Recovery for nougat (use google don’t ask for it);
5. Reboot the device;
6. Reboot into recovery;
7. Do a backup of Product;
8. Reboot into system and place the extracted files from Product_V3 in TWRP specific folder;
9. Reboot into recovery and restore Product;
10. Reboot and enjoy your camera.
If you want to root Nougat follow these steps:
1. Boot in Revolution Recovery
2. Flash RevolutionKernel_ROOT_Nougat_P9Lite_13-12-16.zip;
3. Reboot and install Phh's root app from the playstore;
If you want to downgrade to MM from booting Nougat:
You need to do this first:
1. Download “volver de Nougat a MM” from HTCMANIA;
2. Extract the files and copy 432oEMINFO-DUALSIM-P9LITE.ZIP to the root of your external SD card;
3. Download B150 (as it worked perfectly for me) extract it and put update.app in your dload folder (preferably on you external SD card. If you don’t have the folder create it);
4. Set the default storage to be the External SD card (search for it in settings);
5. Enable Use Debugging and OEM unlocking;
6. BACK UP ALL YOU IMPORTANT DATA AS YOU’LL LOSE EVERYTHING DURING THE PROCESS
Now that you’ve done the above:
1. Unlock your bootloader if it’s not already unlocked (google is your friend );
2. Flash, via fastboot, Revolution Recovery (google is a like the mom, it will find anything for you even if it is under your nose);
3. Reboot into Recovery;
4. Tape Install, set storage to be SD Card;
5. Look for the 432oEMINFO-DUALSIM-P9LITE.ZIP and flash it;
6. Power off your phone;
7. Press simultaneously vol +, vol – and Power, now it should be installing the new firmware (B150);
8. Once done, reboot and you should have a factory reset phone, configure it as you’re well aware of that;
9. Restore your files.

Man that was fast. Will definitely flash this after I get my H8 Pro.
Sent from my Honor 8 using XDA Labs
Hello,
I tested the package, unfortunately after the flash and first boot impossible to return under android.
If I remember correctly there was a problem of mount point.
To get out I had to flasher the recovery and system partitions of the original rom.
Having to reset my phone I have no log, but if you need anything else do not hesitate.

If I remember correctly there was a problem of mount point.
To get out I had to flasher the recovery and system partitions of the original rom.
Having to reset my phone I have no log, but if you need anything else do not hesitate.

this should work for every h8 pro utilizing emmc storage:

It has been tested.

Can we use Magisk instead? Or the loop issue back in Honor 8 is also here?

Interesting, i tried to install it but i'm stuck with installion...i know how to enter fastboot mode with phone plugged to my computer with android sdk on, but the adb files look to be missing when i check with cmd...
Can anyone here give a quick tutorial ? Thanks

Wow that was faster than I could learn to do it.
Great job. May I ask how you got the important informations to build this?
Did you inject su into the image to gain root and then read all the detailed data through terminal or adb or root file explorer?
Just asking cause i train my brain more and more in my spare time and want to get behind the knowledge base to learn. :good:
First of all thank you for your work, I got the Recovery, root, Magisk, etc. running.
I have 2 Questions:
1. the internal storage when I boot to the recovery looks like enrypted (lots of random named folders). Is it possible to decrypt it for now, since there is currently no custom kernel available?
2. Can I flash the Firmware update to 130b in TWRP? If yes, wich package do I need to choose?
Cheers
Would this work on the Chinese V9 variant?

Yes it should work. Just make sure that both backup and restore destinations are either both encrypted or both decrypted.

Installation:
- Download Odin3 v3.13.1, Samsung USB Drivers, latest TWRP's tar for your variant, latest no-verity-opt-encrypt zip and copy all of them to your internal storage.
- Go to Settings App, Developer Options and enable OEM Unlock (If you don't see Developer Setings, go into About phone>Software info and tap "Build number" 10 times to show Developer Options menu).
- Do a backup of all your important data and files in your phone.
- Shutdown the phone. Once it's off, Power it On in Download Mode (Press and hold Vol DOWN and Power buttons together )
- Open Odin3, go in Option section and untick "Auto-reboot". Once that click the "AP" button and select the TWRP tar you downloaded before, then press the "Start" button.
- Once Odin3 finished to flash the recovery (you should see a "PASS" message), force reboot your phone (Press and hold Power and Vol - buttons together) and once the screen is off, press and hold Power and Vol + buttons together to boot in TWRP.
- Once TWRP is booted you first need to decrypt your /data partition. To do so touch Wipe>Format Data and follow the instructions in screen.
- Once it finished go back at the home screen and touch Reboot>Recovery. TWRP should be able to mount your data partition. Now flash the no-verity-opt-encrypt zip you downloaded before (touch Install and select each zip to flash it)
- You're now able to reboot to your OS without re-encrypting /data partition .

Thank you very much sir, I forgot this. Now remember it thanks again[emoji257]
I can't seem to get the interface to navigate any of the partitions or data directories.
If I move the supersu zip to the phone, I can't find it at all, if I try to mount an sd card, it mounts the wrong file contents somehow.
Something is wonky with the disks
does support SM G610Y?
Working fine.

For ppl having trouble to mount internal memory follow these steps:
You have to first Flash TWRP Recovery From Odin
Then on TWRP go to Advance>Wipe And Press Format Data And Type Yes
Then your Internal storage will be able to mount while connected to the PC
And you can now drag zips to flash on your Internal memory via PC
Running perfect on my G610Y

Hi, i'm using beta2.can i install without fullwipe? (just wipe system, cache&davik cache). because i dont want reinstall apps ((
When i've installed the OB1 I had to wipe the internal storage beacuse twrp recovery wasn't able to decrypt it, after when i've installed the update to OB2 i've dirty flashed the update and only wiped cache/dalvik. now should i wipe only system, data and cache right? Or i must wipe also the whole internal storage?
