Huawei Honor 4x Balong and Hi6210sft - Honor 4x Questions & Answers

Hi all
As I said in title I updated to android 5 and now my model number and biuld numbers are changed to "hi6210sft" and "BalongC52B311"
also lots of files like "oeminfo" is deleted and when I copy it, after a reboot its deleted again!
I checked this link and edited "ro.build.display.id" and "ro.product.model" in "build.prop" file
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-4x/help/huawei-honor-4x-balong-hi6210sft-fixed-t3324335
but when I flashed again, all things returned to past!
also I changed all of "hi6210sft" to "Che2-L11" in "build.prop" file (because I think maybe the problem is that!) and after flashing all that lines are deleted! and I can't change them back because they are deleted!
now when I turn on my phone the red screen comes up and after some secconds honor logo comes and phone starts
I thing I should copy fresh file of "build.prop"
am I right?
if yes please help me
where can I find fresh file?
please help
Best Regards
PS. I don't know my original build number!

can you give me the link of your downloaded rom?

[Q] Help to restore .LFS Folder of parameters

Hello i'm new on this and I tried to customize the boot image when the phone is turning on but I failed and it shows a corrupted image, a pretty ugly one, and with my sole knowledgement I can't figure out how to repair it, I tried to put back again the original file " logo_latin.jpg " and it doesn't work each time i try to erase a file, it launches an error, an if I paste a file, the folder appears empty until the next boot and ther new file is undeleteable. I hope i could explain myself, this is my last resort, because a researched in other sites and there is no helpful info.

Accidentally Parsed "ro.build.description" (In Dire Need Of Help)

Hello ladies and gents. As you may have been able to tell from the title, I made a huge mistake when playing around with my phone's build.prop file. I had tapped on the ro.build.description file and it pulled up the keyboard. I accidentally input an "r", so I deleted it, then saved and left the prop file, thinking everything was fine and proper. Unfortunately, that was not so. Upon my next reboot, I discovered several problems. The Playstore and gallery crash upon every open, and even worse, my internal memory isn't being recognized. I know the problems must be originating from the build description prop file, since that was the only prop file change that had happened since my last reboot. If anyone could give any tips on how to fix this or mount the external sd as internal, that would be wonderful. I need to be able to screnshot, install apps, and perform other functions that require internal storage. Please help me out ASAP.

extract the build.prop file from your rom.zip
make a flashable zip & flash it. will work normal again
(ifm u dont know how to make flashable zip, just get any flashable mod,
extract all files, delete all files , only leave the meta-inf folder with its data inside untouched & a folder called "system",
put build.prop into system folder, now mark both folders --> right click --> send to zip, put on sd & flash)
good luck!

Alright then. I have 2 questions though. Does the flash mod I use have to be specifically for my phone's model? And what do you mean by marking the folders?

I'm really sorry, but I don't know what you mean by my Rom. Generally, I'm pretty knowledgeable about my Android, but I've only been rooted for about a week. If by rom you mean like ClockworkMod or something, I'm just on my stock rom. If you mean something else, I don't know. And which slot in Odin would put this in? I only have experience with .tar and .md5.

sorry my llate reply, lets go
he bro u know whats the rom ) you say you are on stock rom, thats all i need.
clockwork mod is no rom, its a recovery.
sorry was a small hazzle for me as you use the AT&T version of the phone, now to the solution:
we need to just replace the damaged build prop with original one.
1. download the system image here: http://www.mrcrab.net/viewstockrom/19845-sm-g730a.html (or anywhere if u find, maybe at SAMMOBILE)
2. (try) to extract the parts of it, we need the system image. if u dont know how just google it, maybe some tools needed for diffrent kind of datas. once all extracted the build.prop is inside system (-folder). copy it to SD & replace via any ROOT explorer, set the right permissions, like in this pic LINK, reboot done.
if you CANT extract that image, make you ready for completly new install of your ROM.

i use slimkat 4.4.4 by android-andi on SGS3 Mini (i8190n).
1. using root explorer, changing perm on the first / (the root dir, i believe).
2. this one is new problem, nothing to do with our recent dialogs, hope can get some idea on this one.
yesterday, i install android tweaker app, and set the auto system/device tweak( can't remember exact) and reboot my device
to apply the setting. and got stuck on boot animation (blinking 'SAMSUNG' anim, after the 'GT I8190N' image on ori ROM). it
didn't loop (no bootloop), just stuck on blinking animation, boot image i guest?
Any idea just throw in please, really want to try and confirm on any solution we got in mind.
thanks in advance everyone.

You found out what it is?
The file is created by snapchat (v9.20.2.0 at the time of this post).
I've tested it on four different devices, and it showed up on three of them as soon as snapchat successfully logged in.
Android versions:
5.0.1 - file generated
5.1.1 - file generated
4.4.4 - file generated (Samgung device)
4.2.2 - no file generated
- The file gets recreated if you delete it.
- I don't know what information is stored in the file.
- File size seems to increase the more you send/receive snaps
I deleted the file, created an empty one with the same name ("2811fb90a1302h"), then in TWRP (recovery) I changed permissions to 0000. Upon doing this, snapchat was unable to modify it, but still functioned properly.

I thought it was a virus haha because some people dont have it
What if you don't have TWRP. I havent rooted my phone and don't want to. Is there anyway to get rid of it other than that?
Snapchat creates the file
Thanks you for share
Guys, from my observations it is a trojan horse installed inside snapchat, so that every time you open it will dowload itself again, and I know it is a virus becouse everytime it apperas some strange things come to happen to my phone like it changes volume by itself or turns on/off music. So if it installes itself inside snapchat one of the ways is to simply reinstal it and stop enetring pornhub couse it comes from there XD
I have the same issue. I opened the file with a text editor and its only chinese characters.

wpa_supplicant.conf

Hi guys,
I'm having an issue with my wifi/bluetooth not turning on, and I've tried factory reset as well as flashing a bunch of different ROMS.
I went into my data/misc/wifi folder and found that I did not have anything where wpa_supplicant.conf should be
Can someone please upload a wpa_supplicant.conf for me?
Thanks!

thanks for the suggestion
I tried that but the issue I have right now is I simply don't have a wpa_supplicant.conf file
I've tried copying etc. and it says no such file and directory
I figured the easiest would be to get a wpa_supplicant file and flash it to whichever firmware it's from
this is the last thing I can think of before I take it to someone to get it repaired - unfortunately dealing with sony support has been a disappointing experience
(they said they changed their policy 2 weeks ago and no longer service international phones, but more importantly the phone has "physical damage" because I said that the port covers were worn and came off less than a year into using the phone regularly)
any help is appreciated

I found the file you were after, but I don't know enough about it to say if it will help you or not.
This isn't a file to flash, I just couldn't upload a .conf file. So unpack it to the correct folder and don't forget to set the permissions.
The thing is you can't just "copy" it and it will work, it has to have the appropriate permissions for the while to be read and executed by the system, If memory serves me right its 0644 or rw-r-r permissions
Thank you all so much for taking the time to help me - I will try out the suggestions sometime next week after my exams and update!

Who will sign for me this apk ?

Here it is -
Please, i need your help, people!
What do you mean? Does it just yell at you for using an unsigned APK when trying to install on your Nook, or does it need to be signed by a certain developer?
Done
Well, either way, I signed it for you here.
Unfortunately, my NST is no longer working so I didn't try installing it. It didn't work on my phone (because it's not a Nook), but that has nothing to do with signing the apk.
Thanks, clavierkid!
I have copied modified version in /system/app/, but it doesn't appear in Nook's system menu.
I noticed, that in afore-mentioned folder there is no such file as ReaderRMSDK.odex...?
Probably this is the reason for non-working reader.
Please, someone to share its ReaderRMSDK.odex file here for me!
Thanks

We'd better get something straight here first. Are you talking about an actual Nook Simple Touch (NST)? Because if you are, you are correct that there is no ReaderRMSDK.odex file in /system/app/
But there are no *.odex files at all! I don't think odexing even occurred to the Android 2.1 developers. So, which device do you have?
The device is Nook Simple Touch and there are other .odex files in /system/app/ !

And what ROM are you running? Humor me and go to your "Settings" app. Under "Device Info" check out "About your Nook". The model number should be BNRV300. The Software version on mine is 1.21
I did a complete device search for files ending in *.odex and came up with none. But I am running the stock ROM (with many changes, but still the basic stock).
For what it's worth:
This APK uses lots of privileged permissions and will not operate 100% correctly unless it is signed with the system signature.
Is the APK something that you modified? Why don't you just use the stock one?
If you are going to use it you will have to resign your whole system.
(Also, you should look up "jarsigner" and learn to sign for yourself.)
