Backlight levels & battery

I was just wandering what level most of you set your backlight to and how it affects battery life. Also, do you have auto-backlight set to 'on'?
Just trying to find a good balance between brightness and battery and so thought your experience would really help.
Thanks,
S.
Set to Auto here. No problems with battery life so haven't tried adjusting manually. I personally like the way it manages the back-light depending on ambient light

[Q] and Poll, BLN control vs NoLED battery life

Two options to get Back Light Notification working on Samsung Galaxy S:
1) Neldar's BLN control:

2) Madmack's NoLED app:

I would like to know Which one is better for battery saving? I know it's very hard to tell, I'm just asking about your impression in real life usages.
I did a pool to study which one is more popular.
Anyway, both are great, thanks for creators.
Using BLN free to notification system, and just seem to be a regular battery drain.
The app NoLed I was very happy, but it reflects a larger battery consumption. Mainly influenced by the consumption of active display - black backlight.
App BLN is not as spectacular, but is fully functional and almost no consumption effect. LEDs can be lit throughout the night and the battery life with almost no impact. Here I recommend buying BLN Version Control Pro, which can be dealt with activity LEDs.

Xposed and Battery Life

I'm trying to improve battery life when running Null23. It seems to me that battery life is greatly diminished when Xposed is activated. Is this correct?;

hi ,
firstly ,cannot really say if xposed drains ,battery on Gear ,but my overall xperience with xposed modules, i run on my Note 3 ,Note8.0 and Htc one x,i have no battery drainage but possible ?
However with my combo, i use Gear Null 23 and Note 3
My battery usage is very good ,"mild to meduim " usage.
( few notifications one or two calls and bluetooth on for 8/12hours ,)
i get in sleep mode easy+- 11 hrs and +- 20% a day ...usage( see screenshots )
Before..... i tweaked the voltage, what i did after finding that my usage was on heavy side ...
i set the voltage cpu between 200 and 800 ( down from 1600mhz )
i/o scheduler i kept on cfq and cpu govender on pegasusq and it works for me (,very good battery usage .)
Take note...
It seems different combo of Gear and phone, will affect battery usage whether on Tizen ,Android or Null .!
good luck

[Q] Does adaptive display consume more battery life?

Hi everyone,
I would like to know if someone has seen battery life improvement by switching to Amoled Photo or Amoled Basic. I'm between adaptive display and Amoled Photo. I ask because since adaptive display constantly changes colors and sharpness betwen supported applications it would be logical that it consumes more battery, at least that's what I'm thinking.
I may be wrong, but if someone knows a little more about this topic I would highly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!!

Max brightness S10 lower than S8?

I just bought a 3m old S10 and unfortunately the auto max brightness is a bit lower in direct sunlight than my 1y old S8, while according to reviews it should be significantly higher.
I can still read the screen outdoors in the sun, but with sunglasses on it is a bit more difficult than my S8. It certainly does not look as "eye melting" bright as some reviews mentioned.
Both have everything set up correctly to allow for auto max brightness outdoors (Adaptive brigtness on, Vivid mode).
Now I am wondering if this an isolated issue with my device.
Has anyone else noticed this in comparison with a S8 or S9?
