- Steps for flashing kernel:
I assume that you are already on a rooted device with TWRP 3.0.x.x installed,if not, useful posts on how to root and install twrp can be found on Xda,just do a search.
1 - enter recovery mode via twrp
2 - Wipe cache and Dalvick/ART cache ( important step or junk files will lead to internal conflicts like freeze lags or random reboots)
3 - Flash kernel and reboot,(it will bootloop once, just don't touch it and don't panic)
4 - After complete reboot, don't use the phone and let the kernel settle for 5 minutes for better hardware and firmware integration,if u use it while rebuilting cache and integrating, you may experience lags or freeze,so let it install comfortably before starting usage.
5 - after step 4 , you can use the kernel. A second reboot is advicable but not obligatory,it's up to you.
6- Enjoy Xtreme Kernel !

l'prefer note 7 port by ambasadii.

Working great for g928k variant. Very fast Thank you

Why are there two threads? It's one kernel only for UX roms and the other one not? I'm confused...

What is the better note 7 port working with this kernel?? I need the best in battery life

Hello, can you explain about the big core limitation ?
What's the difference between this kernel, and Jesse's kernel and other kernels like AEL? There are too many kernels in this thread which are mostly the same, except maybe 1-2 minor differences. That doesn't warrant a new kernel, maybe devs should collaborate with each other and keep minimal number of kernels, having so many of them just causes confusion and bloat, especially when all of them are almost the same in features/functionality. I am seeing people create new kernels with tiny modifications, which is just a waste, rather submit them as patches to kernels that many people already use in this thread, like Jesse's or Superkernel.

Nice,thanks for the explanation.
Great that you keep your source near to stock with no uc/oc etc,i believe it's the only way to keep the good performance, and in combination with stock odexed rom i love it.
What's your opinion about the sabermod toolchain,i remember it was better for the battery but linaro for performance.

[Kernel]Photon Kernel[condor][UBER-4.9][AndroidN]

Hello XDA Members,
I am here with my new kernel. This kernel works on Android 7.x based ROMs
Standard disclaimer :
Code:
This product is distributed free of cost and does not come with a warranty. I will not be responsible for anything that may happen to your phone as a result of flashing this kernel. You have been warned !If you come to me saying that this turned my phone into nuclear bomb , I will surely laugh at you !!!
Introduction :
Photon is a fundamental particle of nature which delivers light to us all. It's mindboggling properties like duality, never stopping from being in motion and presence in so many diverse natural phenomena like photoelectric effect, relativity etc. makes the man ultra-curious about it. A photon is born when atoms transition from excited state to ground state. What's the point of this paragraph in a kernel description post?
Well, like a photon this kernel possess duality. How? By giving better battery back up and performance. ( ) What about non-resting nature of photons? Yes, the kernel support will never stop until Nougat says good bye. ( ). OK now don't ask about analogies regarding photoelectric effect and relativity. ( : D ).
Anyways, now coming to the point I am very much glad to present you, the users of condor, my tiny piece of work for our small beast, .
“The Photon Kernel“
I got very much fascinated by the concept of photons when I studied it for the first time and hence (yes, you've guessed it right!) I've named this kernel Photon.
Enough of the physics class today let's look inside the features of the kernel now ( xD ) :
Features :
1)Compiled with UBER toolchain 4.9
2)Used -O3 and graaphite optimisation flag
3)Added few more governers to stock ones. List of all governers :
Impulse
Ondemand
Ondemandplus
Powersave
Performance
Interactive
Userspace
Smartmax
Lionheart
Nightmare
4)More I/O schedulers.List of all I/O schedulers :
noop
deadline
row
cfq
flops
tripndroid
sio
sioplus
vr
zen
bfq
5)Enable Arch Power
6)Disable Gentle Fair Sleepers
So that’s all for the features as of now. More features will be added in future.
This kernel serves me good for daily use and allowes me to use those governers flawlessly.
To-do list :
1)Add more governers(No more governers planned)
2)Add dt2w feature
(DT2W and intelliplug update is ready but I want everything to be nice and shining before adding them )

[KERNEL][T/W8][V3.1] Noble Kernel for Grace ports

This particular kernel arose out of frustration at the lack of choices that T-Mobile and Canadian S6 users have when flashing ported roms with the GraceUX UI and it would not have been possible without the original source posted by @Greck99 .
Feature-wise, this is the same exact kernel included in Noble Experience; however, it has been built against a W8 configuration and uses a stock ramdisk that has been modified solely for the purpose of booting hybrid ports.
Yes, blue light filter works. So does AOD (no touch for now)
Pair this kernel with the call audio fix for grace ux for the complete Noble Experience (or whatever GraceUX port you desire) on T/W8
Suggestions and feedback are welcome. Feature requests may be considered if I determine them to be useful enough to include
Thanks to:
@Greck99 & @Noxxxious for this awesome source
@AlexisXDA for making killer roms and something to be envious of
@The Sickness for his continued work on our devices and for all his contributions
@arter97 for hybrid ramdisk commits
And the Nexus7420 team in general.
I am not responsible for your device, you are.
This kernel should work for both T-Mobile and Canadian devices,
though has only been tested on a G920W8.

Interesting.. Did you flash SU after?
Edit: It also may be necessary to wipe dalvik if you are flashing this coming from Arter. I have flashed this on two different W8s without issue, so I'm fairly certain it works
No! So sorry! Did not think about flashing su because my rom already has it installed. I'll try again next time when I flash

The main issue I have with AOD is the massive battery drain. Even with it not enabled in the kernel, the AOD app still drains battery. I actually trimmed it from my rom.
The other issue is that the only kernel I'm aware with the AOD feature is TN kernel, which the developer has chosen not to share his source.

I used his commits for building the ramdisk, would've probably taken a lot more trial and error without them -- they aren't documented clearly anywhere else to my knowledge (and to be fair, not all of what he ships in the n7 kernel is required in the ramdisk for booting). Most kernel authors don't include their ramdisks in the source they post. Sure I could've decompiled the ramdisk shipped with Noble Experience and reverse engineered it, but that's not what I did. I just wanted to give credit for the path I took regardless of my opinions regarding those whose steps I followed.
I just noticed a slurry of new commits in the upstream branch which I pulled into my fork earlier today and built a test build for myself. I will be releasing it once I've had a bit of chance to test things out and make sure all is working :good: So far things are running great for me.
Thank you very much for the work you've done and for sharing your source. The blue light filter is the real cream for me here as the overlay in cf.lumen causes lag for me. It is greatly appreciated by myself and all the others with our device. I could've just taken a stock kernel and started from scratch, but this is oh-so-much better than that!
Kernel Updated to Version 3
This update is largely a merge with up upstream source. Kernel is feeling very smooth, and in addition AOD drivers have been added and most of the kinks have been worked out.
Kernel is now using a custom built dt.img for AOD support which has not been tested for edge devices (though the reboots never affected them). I see no reason why it shouldn't work, please let me know if it causes any catastrophic failures!
Edit: V3 Image for G925T/W8 has been re-uploaded as of 1:05pm PST. Fixes for call audio regarding the custom dt.img -- removed it as it's not needed.

@lizaSB nice work. I see now that I have some compitition lol. JK.
Glad to see some fresh blood here on the kernel side.
Works beautifully on my G920T (XAR). Thanks OP! One thing though: I would suggest highlighting the note that installing SuperSU immediately afterwards is mandatory to make it more easily seen as the device wouldn't boot without it...

Maybe when you start developing for Grace ports there will be some competition

This is no longer the case as of v2.1. I flash many of my test builds without rooting them, so I am positive it still works without

Maybe only emui 4 and 4.0.3
OP, please can you put the right link to your kernel source code in the OP ? As I think you already know, is mandatory to put a valid link on OP with your kernel source code - including absolutely all changes to the stock kernel
Thanks for understanding !

Probably you're right.
Installed, seems fine but the cellular data connection is not working, wifi works fine.
It has less governor profiles than SimpleKernel like Pmc, smartmax are missing.
It will be great to have everything in one place. Good job! :good:

Have you tried debug mode in developer mode? In some cases when it's debugging mode enabled some pc happens that it does not recognize. The rom is tested before being sent to XDA, and the fixes added here are to requests from users who need them, which in itself does not present any bug.
what about screencapture? the thing that i need for this rom, ill try to install pubg if it can handle the game on it.
