Do you have an issue with your IMEI or getting a DRK error? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Guides, News, & Discus

I created THIS GUIDE over on the S7 edge forum to fix issues where the IMEI is missing and/or to fix DRK errors.
I am looking for people with one of these issues on a Snapdragon variant S7 or S7 Edge to see if this method works for them. I have the compatible files ready to be tested.
Please PM me or email me from my profile if you have one of these issues on any Snapdragon variant S7 or S7 edge.

Hi. I'm noob on this but I will try to explain what happens to me.
I get a s7 edge on Sprint (US).
Then, I took it to be unlock so I can use it with my carrier (T-Mobile).
I found here a guide to flash the T-Mobile firmware using Odin.
I did it and now the phone reboots and is like a T-Mobile phone.
I put my sim card but nothing happens. Then I try to check the IMEI and nowhere to be found, is blank and the baseband too.
You think you can help me please?

Thanks in advance.

I'm looking for a way to root if I can??
Edit: Also looking for any info about the bootloader to see if it's unlocked like the 900R6 was.

I'm actually looking for a way to revert back to stock. My phone model is Sm-G925R6
Model number SM-G925RZWALRA
Cellphone provider is Cellcom in Wisconsin and use Verizon towers.
On the back of the phone imprinted under the glass the i.d is also sm-g925v as this specific model is similar to the verizon varient s6 edge
I purchased the phone thinking I could find the stock firmware somewhere and just use Odin to flash back.
The person that previously had the phone. Rooted the phone same method as the verizon galaxy s6 edge. I have twrp recovery and am running the CleanRom from the verizon s6 edge.
All verizon s6 edge roms work on the phone and I'm using Tmobile on the phone.
I want to revert back to stock but no firmwares if you do back up your stock firmware is there a way to share it ?
Check the back of your phone and see if the fcc id is SMG925V then the verizon method presumably work
The only thing on the back of my phone is Samsung & Galaxy S6 Edge.
I had the LRA version of the S5 and it took a bit but eventually the stock fw got released so I'm hoping this one will be the same..
Update: The sticker on the box says SMG925RZKEL
In the back of the phone towards the bottom of the phone towards the charger under where it says galaxy s6 edge. There should be really fine text. Small print.
Mine says SM-G925R6 Fcc ID A3LSMG925V

This was a bit helpful I checked out the tool but can't find firmware for my phone still.
I input the information you have and a firmware does come up. But I'm a bit confused for your model number you have Sm-g900R6 isn't that the galaxy s5?
Firmware given is for galaxy s5 isn't it ?
The regular galaxy s6 is Sm-G920 and the s6 edge is Sm-G925

Thanks for the help,
The firmware worked and i was able to return the phone back to stock and was able to set up Android pay.
The bad for me is that the original stock firmware doesnt allow me to change the APN settings so i can use my T-mobile sim
I do get data and it works normal with fast LTE speeds but unable to send text/calls.
I had to re-root the phone and went back to CleanRom so that i can use my T-mobile sim on the phone.
Thanks for all the help and helping me get back to stock.
The zip you uploaded does work and helps get back to stock on SM-G925R6

I am in the same situation as saulpro. I have the same cellcom phone with same kernal build date. I activated on Verizon but cannot send mms. I have a triangle above my network signal icon also.
Odin twrp unified one for all variants should be fine (will trigger knox), flash supersu done. If you are running Verizon you will likely need to flash a Verizon rom on it. Keep in mind that with this device Verizon unique features such as VoLTE will not work.
I don't own this phone nor do I plan to.. I owned previous lra Samsung Galaxy devices though and did development work with them.
So I was able to root, but that was all it did. Still couldn't send MMS. I had data and could call/text/receive mms.
I flashed a couple of different Verizon roms. A regular S6 allowed me to send MMS, but I lost data. I tried another couple for the S6 edge and lost data and MMS. All I can do now is text and call...
Ideas?
Currently downloading stock firmware for G925R6 and gonna start again.

Make sure apn's are set properly.
Would it be the original apn settings or verizon? How can I change them? Other Roms let me but this one doesn't show anything.

Help identifying my device. Galaxy note 3, n900a, n900t or n900a?

I bought a used note 3, when I look up the imei it come back a n9005, the device came with n900tuvufob6 on it, and under the battery the label states it's a n900a. I'm running darklord n5 on it now but would like to flash to a different rom and had one heck of a time with it. Would like to know what I really got for future flashing to be safe without running into bootloops etc. Thanks
Hello,
If your device has N900A behind the battery then the device SHOULD be a N900A, BUT, it could be that it was flashed with another model than N900A, it could be N900A with the other model IMEI(device may have been cloned to repair bad IMEI), could be N900A rear casing with the other model hardware in it. If it ends up being N900A with something altered then if you want to put it back to the original N900A just flash the N900A stock firmware via Odin and it will make it the true N900A again but that isn't necessary and won't cause you any issues if you don't change it back as long as it is working fine with what it has right now.
These are just possibilities to investigate. To assist you further with narrowing down what you actually have, your thread will be moved to your device Q&A forum linked below.

The experts there may be able to help. Good luck.
What model # is shown in download mode?
N900t
In download mode it says it's a n900t, I was wondering if you could recommend a good rom that is fast, 4g lte, on lollipop, with everything working, all and a kernel for my device that can be over clocked... could you also give me the links as well

Please help!!!

I have an AT&T S6 Edge + unlocked for use with Metropcs. I need to utilize the WiFi calling and I'm not able to use 4g lte while calling either. I have spent hours and hours looking through forums and reading, downloading stock T Mobile ROM files to try to flash my phone through Odin. I get a PIT error message on the phone every time. Everyone says that my baseband version has to match or else it will not work. If I want to flash T Mobile stock ROM on my phone I don't see how that is possible. Can someone please walk me through this if possible?

Samsung SM-925A Updates and/or Custom ROM

I received a free Samsung S6 Edge from some friends. The phone had a busted battery which I fixed. The phone is still on the original 5.1.1 that the phone was released with.
When I try to do updates it says DM initialization not ready. Check network or SIM card. When I received the phone I was told it doesn't work with cell service. I checked to make sure and it definitely doesn't. There are no options for cell service in settings or the drop-down menu. This phone is missing IMEI numbers, IMEISV numbers, and baseband versions too. The only way I found out the IMEI number was it was printed on the back of the phone.
I am fairly certain the problems are software-based and not the motherboard but I don't know enough about phones to be sure. Do you guys know? I also want to remove AT&T from the phone to install a custom ROM on the device. (There is no OEM unlock in the developer options) Can I flash SM-925F firmware on the device to make it factory unlocked or will this brick the device? Will flashing the original SM-925A firmware fix the problems with the device? Please let me know if you need any more information to answer my question.
I found this: //G925A\\ Nougat 7.0.1 Latest Stock ATT Odin files G925AUCS7ERC1 | XDA Developers Forums (xda-developers.com) Should I flash this on my device? Will it fix any of the problems I had on it?
Can I flash the SM-925F firmware? Is the hardware of the factory unlocked phone and AT&T versions the same or will it brick this phone if I flash it?
Since the phone is AT&T you'll have to go through AT&T for the unlock codes before you can flash anything other than an AT&T ROM. To my knowledge there are no custom ROMS for the S6 Edge, but I could be mistaken.

I know this phone is old news however, I actually have the S6 and S7 edge lying around and so i got bored lol...here is my dilemma; Evidently the phone (S6 Edge G925A) had an abnormal factory reset, which is a load of BS, and now I can not get that security detail, which you know calling Samsung always ends to NO AVAIL!! I have flashed with Odin the firmware that my device is on the ERC1 firmware and still I get stuck @abnormal reset. I've searched numerous sites, different forums and still to no avail. Something told me inside that you was the man to drop a line to, any leads or info will be more than appreciated brother...Thanks for your time....
PSSS....
I got my unlock code from AT&T some time ago but the code is 16 digits long and code only takes 8 digits, and of course to hear AT&T tell it, " I simply must not putting the code in correctly"...lmao

AT&T Firmware

I have a Samsung Galaxy S10, model SM-G973U. Last week it did an update and something went wrong and it got stuck in download mode. I couldn't turn it off or anything. I finally had to flash a SM-G971U1 firmware to get the phone back working again. Does anyone know where I can find the latest factory AT&T firmware for the SM-G973U? The US version.

I would recommend using Frija instead, as it's probably faster, but the above is an alternative as well.

That's the one I used, but the AT&T logo doesn't show anymore and some of the AT&T features don't work like wifi calling. I thought the 973U was the at&t and the 973U1 was the samsung version.
You may have to reset the SIM somehow. Often, when the carrier sees the same SIM, they don't check the phone for what it can do, so it assume Wifi calling and such doesn't work. ATT is notorious for being stupid about such things (I've read far too much of this type of stuff on other phones as well).
You may just need to call ATT and tell them it's not working... they'll check the IMEI, see the phone is correct, and then reset the settings. That's another possibility.
Also, you may need to flash the firmware with a full reset or something, so that the CSC can re-recognize, but that means you'll lose any data on the phone... so just be aware of that possibility. Bottom line, ATT should help you with getting things working again... it's their problem, after all (assuming it's a valid ATT IMEI phone).
