How do I Downgrade My Kindle Fire

Hi, I am wondering how could I downgrade my Kindle Fire HD 3rd Generation? I don't know if I could downgrade it or multiple guides confuse me. I've heard that I can't root my Kindle Fire HD 3rd gen because they fixed the exploit in higher up versions. Also, I heard of this, "Developer Preview," but I don't know how to use it, or it doesn't work the HD 3rd gen.
If you can explain it easily. I can get confused really quickly.
Version: 4.5.5.2 *as of 9/18/16*

Kindle Fire 7 Android

I was wondering if it was possible to install android on my Kindle Fire 7. I bought it on prime day because of the huge discount off the already cheap price.

This is the wrong Forum Section for this. You should look here https://forum.xda-developers.com/amazon-fire
BE VERY CAREFUL!!! New bootloaders on the "Amazon Fire 7" have caused people to end up bricking their device when trying to put the custom ROM on it. Read all the guides in the Q&A section and do not do anything until you are well informed. I think you may end up having to use something called FlashFire if your device has a rootable version of Android on it.

Would like to convert Fire Tablet to Android

Fire Tablet with Alexa, 7", 16 GB (Special Offers) 5th Generation
Would really appreciate a proven step-by-step guide to replace the OS with Android.
(I'm very new to Android).
The posts I've read and google searches indicate a lot of problems with doing this.
Is it even practical?

What can be done on a fire 5th gen on 5.6.0.1

What can be done on a fire 5th gen running 5.6.0.1?
Just pulled mine out and it updated. From my understanding I can't remove bloat, have root, or block ota updates but I can install google play store. How accurate am I?
You can downgrade and "debloat" if that's your cup of tea. Can also install the Google Play store and related services and possibly a different launcher. See the XDA forum for this device for further info.

Thanks for the reply Davey126, but the first link you provided is a for a 7th gen Fire. Does this downgrade also work for 5th gen Fires? I too am looking for a root option for my 5th gen 5.6.0.1 (whether it be root or downgrade and root), but have been unsuccessful in my research. The general consensus I've seen in various forums is that this can't be done with the 5th gens on 5.6.0.1. I hope this isn't the case...
Agreed. Pretty good chance Amazon incorporated a bootloader update in the 5.6.x.x update for 5th gen devices which would yield a non-recoverable brick if rolled back to 5.4.x.x. Regardless, root is NOT an option for 5th gen devices that have updated beyond 5.3.2.0. Your best option IMHO is to enjoy the device as-is possibly enhanced with the Google Play store. You may have seen root is available for 7th gen HD 10 models running FireOS 5.6 but that device uses a different hardware architecture. A root exploit is highly unlikely for 5th-7th gen devices using the older architecture (including Fire, Fire 7, HD 8 and some HD 10 varients).
I use launcher hijacker And Nova Looks Like a Normal Tablet Now
