Please help NRD90M test-keys - Huawei P9 Plus Questions & Answers

I updated my L09 today via twrp to Nougat and now my build number is NRD90M test-keys. Does anyone know what that means? It all seems to work great except there is no NFC.

I have the same. Could you fix it or do you know what was the error?

you need to rollback to MM via dload, install L09C432B181 via dload. install FF enter in setting of FF and select installation via system update then you'lll
get prompt with download addon ( FF proxy) install then go back to FF search for firmware then select B360 (1,3 Gb) then select send firmware tp update, then set proxy for wifi localhost with 8080 port, after this enter settong-updater and chose Download full firmware.. B360 will appear, DONT DOWNLOAD! Before disable proxy(select none in wifi proxy settings).. And now you can download B360 from settings-updater..
Good luck!

Sorry, but I cannot work with this update.
I have no keyboard. HiCare is missing. Clock app is missing and factory reset does not work.
I was happy that I could role back to VIE-L09C432B181 cause of missing keyboard.
I not understand the meaning of flash oeminfo. I try to find it on google, but my results not show me any good informations or I not understand.
What I must do with flash oeminfo?

Just to inform u guys, flashing the b360 needs a hw/EU OEM Info and cust if c436. If u flash that above, then the second part of update is left out, u need to use firmware finder.

Why you think so?
From whom or where do you get this information?
And sorry, I cannot find any informations in your given url, that I can find a proove for that what you write.
Why you think that the upgrade fails when oem info is not set to C432?

Just tested my self, and makes sense for a c436 firmware or?

Moinmoin.
Ah okay. So, you just test it. I thought you are a kernel developer and you know the routines for the update.
How you could change the oeminfo, please?

I think even kernel devs, don't know them
For changing u could use srk tool, but u need root, I advise flashing stable c432 and then root this, bootloader needs to be unlocked

You're on the right track
I bodged my update, and got stock on NRD90M test-keys as well.
Flashing the finnish rollback fixed that, and put me on a C build. Then I could flash the B181.
Mine was stuck on 5% as well, for a long time. I just let it be, until it rebooted it self. Had to do it twice even. I detail how I got back here.
I flashed the finnish rollback, and when rebooted to OS, the version was the right one (no longer NRD90M test-keys) - then I could rollback to the official B181. Then I followed the latest guide in this thread (the on I quote), and now I'm all good!

Did anyone try it?
this version has a cust folder (update.app - vendor, i think), but it has no word document to see which is the baseband version, to see if it is a difference from b852!
If anyone try it, please, share!!!
Thanks!!!
Last night, i couldn't sleep , so i did the update to B861.
I was on B852, European cust C432D001.
The B861 update came with 2 folders, 1 named Cust_0, and the 2nd dload.
In 1st there is Turkish vendor, a little 18k Apk. In 2nd, there are the main update, 1,12 G and one update.asc (I don't know what is this for.).
So, i did the local update, and the main update did well, it ends at 100% and restart normally. (Didn't erased data).
To mention is that the phone heat after the update, as it never did it before. After the main update everything was working, except the keyboard. AND, i DIDN't had the CUST number (but instead i had an android pay application).
SO, i put the little 18 b apk (the one in the Cust_o folder), and did again a local update. AT 48%, the update failed and the phone restarted itself and entered the factory data reset automatically.
At the end of data reset, the phone loosed the settings, AND THE CUST VERSION WAS CHANGED TO C121D001!!!
Now, the android pay application disappeared.
But, all the applicationds work, i hat keyboard, motions, i think it is everything.
In about phone settings, i sow the base band version was changed to 23.600.08.00.00, - 23.02.2016, and it appears one new information about Android Security Level - 01.02.2016.
THAT WAS ALL. can anyone tell me if it is bad that the update changed my cust number?
I updated last night. The phone works fine. All options work. Motion control... vs.
The battery fast drain. But it will be normal soon.

You must copy dload folder to internal memory and make a local update, after then empty dload folder and put the vendor file there and make local update again. But be careful vendor formats everything and in Turkey version after the vendor update there is no radio application installed

No, it has no double tap.
It works BUT YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR CUST (EUROPEAN).
I WAS ON THE SAME CUST, I DID THE UPDATE, THERE ARE NO CHANGES, IT WORKS THE SAME AS B852, AND YOU WILL LOOSE RADIO APPLICATION!
CUSTC432D001 is easy to install, if you use Huaweiextractor and change the cust files in the UPDATE.APP before updating.
No data lost and CWM-installed UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.65.zip runs without problems.
Integrated-SIP-Phone is without audio like in all Huawei-Stock ROMs for P7.

i fixed my problem
if you miss any app after update you just have to find your cust version and install it
i was on b853 and my cust number was c433 and after i did this update i lost radio app and my cust number was changed
i downgrade to b158
then i download cust C433 copy to dload and update my phone with this file
and again i update to b853
now everything is fine like before
هرکی این مشکلو داره دانگرید کنه به 158 بعد کاست 433 آپدیت بزنه بعد به 853 کنه اوکی میشه
بیلد 853 واسه ایران اوکی هست

Help me on NRD90M test-keys

Hi, I followed the steps of ther firmware finder method to upgrade my p9 plus vie l09 c432 b181 to nougat.
I installed the full version of 2.2gb but now there are many problems.. No bluetooth no huawei apps like clock, smart remote, UPDATER, calendar etc...
I tried to roll back to Marshmallow and emui 4.1 but no way... I download it, put in dload pover on volume up and down but it fails says no supported device.
Now I'm stuck on the build called NRD90M test-keys and I've no idea now how to roll back or make my phone useful again.
Thanks to everyone
PS: No updater so I can't use firmware finder to update the phone anymore!

I'm not the best one to advice you because now I have my phone bricked, but not for this matter. The thing is that I managed to upgrade from NRD90M. I did it using the finnish version of the rollback package for VIE-L09. It's a three step installation: First you copy the Update.app of the rollback package (its a tiny one. 100Mb aprox) in dload folder (must create it) in the SD Card . Then you flash it using the three buttons way (Vol Up+Vol Down+PWR)
After that you must search a stock ROM for your phone version, download it and add it to the same directory in the SD Card (you must delete the update.app previously flashed) and also add to the same directory the hw and dt folders (this adds the keyboard, BT and everything missed in the NRD90M version). Search for them in the forum (search for update_data_full_EU). Flash this ones again through the three buttons way and that's it. You have update from that half version!
Obviously I'm not responsible of any problem that this make to your phone.
Good luck!

But you can boot into the "broken" OS? If so, try factory reset from there.. I remember doing that before actually starting the rollback, unsure if it has any bearing or not

Regarding keyboard, I solved it with voice searching google for "swiftkey", it suggests swiftkey apk , then download from somewhere that hosts the .apk file
Then settings and enable install from unknown sources .. then set swiftkey as keyboard.
Your install is most likely FUBAR either way, so setting some of this up anew isnt really that big a deal? Just backup whatever you really need via titanium(if rooted) or HiSuite (if not)

I had the C900, but that was on Botched B360 install - and then only after the rollback file.
BUT; try placing the B360 .APP file in the dload folder on your external SD-card. Link to the files here. (my own mirror, should be decent speeds)

Huawei p9 always rebooting every 2 minutes

Hello everyone,
I'm new in xda's forum and so that's my first thread.
I hope you can help me.
I have a Huawei P9 EVA-L09C02B357 that lately it automatically reboot about every 2 minutes. The interesting things is that it happened only if I boot the ROM (stock or not). But in recovery mode (or erecovery) or fastboot mode, this automatic reboot doesnt manifest.
All is started when I have tried to install RROS Nougat on my phones and it was working when i tried to turn off the phone and then turn it on but nothing, the phone was stuck on boot phase.
I decided to switch data file system from f2fs to ext4 and then reinstall it as the guide explains.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rom-t3606185
The ROM worked correctly except the fingerprint sensor.
During the first configuration, it scans my fingerprint but for a bug, i couldnt go over the first scan.
Searching on the internet I understood that the problem could be the modem. But for a mistake I have flashed the wrong fix for the modem (it was for another phone, don't ask me how I didnt notice it).
Now even with stock rom or custom the phone has this automatic reboot. Particularly the stock rom has many bugs every time i flash it, like: there isn't the IMEI, there aren't any preinstalled apps, is really slow in some situations and the default keyboard is the voice typing...
I think the solution is to flash the stock modem, but when I try to flash it via fastboot, it says: "No suitable files selected. Check profiles.xml".
Thanks in advance
P.S. sorry for my bad english :C

Can you send me the MM firmware?
To go back to android 6, my phone should have android 7 installed? Cuz now i have some problems to flash it.
UPDATE
Thank you so much vampirian!
I have successfully installed android 6 and the automatic reboot is gone.
Now i'll try to update it and probably retry to install RROS .
(yes i'm stubborn).

If you debrand to c432 (EU) from your c900, you will automatically receive (must have SIM card in) OTA updates first to b242 (over your b182) and then further OTA updates up to b399 or even b502
PS: For debranding to c432 you can use this guide

This is not the serial number (of your device) but the stock firmware build mame/number
If you debrand to c432 (EU) from your c900, you will automatically receive (must have SIM card in) OTA updates first to b242 (over your b182) and then further OTA updates up to b399 or even b502
PS: For debranding to c432 you can use this guide

If you have debranded to c432 as suggested in my previous post, let it update as far as it gets (b398, b399 or even b502).
Once it stops receiving OTAs, perform Hard reset with wiping Internal memory (you can do it from Settings or from eRecovery)
Btw, if it attempts an OTA but it fails, then go back to the updating screen and choose Full update, instead of (default) differential update.
Which ROM to suggest you - Magic Rainbow v4:

Now the phone is installing the b395 update. Is the hard reset necessary?
I knwo the existence of Magic Rainbow but i didn't know that it is based on Emui. I'll download it because i guess it is more stable than RROS.
It seems that i cant go over b395.

Are you now on EVA-L09 c432 b395, exactly as that?
You do not receive further OTA, or you received OTA but it failed (in that case force Full update as suggested above)?
If you're really not receiving OTA b398 or b399, try Hard reset with wiping Internal memory - if still mo OTA, install b398 by HWOTA method
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75787156&postcount=3
Once you reach b398, you're ready for MR v4.

If you boot to eRecvery ( Vol+ and Pow) you will find Hard reset option.
Similarly, under Settings /Advanced Settings/ Reset phone there is also hard reset option - cannot tell you better details, I have TWRP and MR v4, I don't have these options.
Also if you 'dial' ' *#*#2846579#*#* a hidden Project menu will open, with Restore Factory option

Both two last options as listed (Settings and Project Menu) are present in stock ROM.
And you can boot to eRecovery as above - shut down, then press and keep pressing Vol+ and Pow together
If not OTA, then the best way for manual updating is HWOTA, I gave you the link also above
But still, you didn't confirm, are you really on EVA L09 c432 b395, ie, you are not on L19 (by mistake)

I was on EVA-L09 c432 b395 and now I'm on b502. I tell you what I did.
I tried to make a reset bt the Project Menu option but, the reset it didn't gave any update...
So I tried with firmware finder (android version) and I used the DNS method. I have chosen the b397 OTA and the updater found it.
During the download, it arrived at 25% and suddenly the phone has found the b502 for a total of 4 patch to download together (I dont know how to explain that thing).
After download the phone reboot for installing phase but it failed... and on boot it appeared a red warning, then i went to erecovery, shut off the phone and go to recovery mode for a factory reset.
Factory reset was a success but on boot the red warning still appear but i tried to continue to boot... fortunately it was all ok but the phone was on b395.
It magically appeared the screen for b502 Full-OTA update and now I have it!
I wouldn't understimate you but I always prefer to try solution by myself.
(sorry again for my bad english)

Restored Stock Rom through TWRP not booting

REALLY IN NEED FOR HELP:crying:
Followed this guide youtube.com/watch?v=2tAeNZdTyeY to install Resurrection Remix on my P9 EVA-L19. After booting the phone, it is just stuck on the boot animation. I panicked and restored to the stock rom. After booting the device, it gets stuck at the "unlocked bootloader" screen.
So I tried to restore the rom through the eRecovery process but gave me an error.
So then I tried the dload process where I copy the UPDATE.APP to my SD card(FAT32) and failed. it stopped at 5% and said "Software install failed!"
I really don't know what to do next.
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

There is a RR thread for P9, I'd suggesr to ask there about the RR installation and issues (these topics opened under Q&A practically nobody reads, specially not those few who know more about RR)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rom-t3767344
For safe reverting back to stock you should have used HWOTA method (maybe it will still work if your Bootloader is unlocked and/or you have TWRP for EMUI 5.x)

I don't know if that is possible, I know it's too late now but whenever I'm going to play with ROMs or so, I save screenshots of my Settings/About and all things like that (IMEI, etc), just in case (like this case).
Maybe you can figure out by:
- was it International cust c432, Mideast c185, or provided by some operator, see
https://www.huaweiblog.de/firmware-update-was-bedeutet-cust-emui-und-co/
- have you debranded the phone
- btw, before installing RR did you check if RR is compatible to install over your (at that time) stock ROM
- Have you installed a firmware from FirmwareFinder, by DLOAD, HWOTA or other methods
Eg, if it was c432 and if you did not manually update, it was likely b393 as the last approved build for L19

I fixed the phone! I used the link u shared about the HWOTA and followed the steps. I did a lot of research about the model number and the cust and found out on the Huawei site that my phone is the EVA-19C185. So I installed the update and it worked! Thank you so much for your help. Really appreciate it.

For OTA, you must have a proper SIM card and WiFi connection - check in Settings/Software update do you receive OTA
Also, install latest HiSuite to PC, connect to the phone and find in HiSuite (at the bottom) an option to update.
Not sure, but also better have a valid SIM card in the phone
There are other options but first try these simplest and less intrusive ones
Ofc, supposing that phone is not rooted or TWRP installed (ie - must be the stock firmware)
Thanks...

many Thanks for the advices.
Yes. phone is not rooted. I have tried both above ways & not getting update. So i thought to use other way ( dload) & try.
Please let me know the correct update package so i can download & push via SD card.
Is it risky to use that method...??
Also please tell me if upgrade would caused to any other issue such as battery draining issue.. If so how can i downgrade the version.?
many thanks...

You can DLOAD to L19 c185 b385 (initial Nougat), you must take FullOTA-MF-PV (PV is important) - as on the screenshot, from:
https://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/?firmware_model=EVA-L19c185
You can also install FirmwareFinder app (from Playstore or XDA) to download from the app
Download the two files, update.zip and update_data_full_hw_meafnaf.zip, do not unzip, put into DLOAD folder on your SD card.
Phone better to be charged, switch off, disconnect USB, press and keep pressing both Vol+ and Vol-, then boot - it should start DLOAD
Boot and login to system, and check if you can receive further OTA updates
Many thanks...

If you don't receive further OTA update, you can force DLOAD up to the latestEVA-L19c185b403
Download:
https://androidhost.ru/bN4
Unzip/untar until you extract a dload folder (do not extract further) and ReleaseDoc folder.
In the latter find Software Upgrade Guide and follow it - basically, you copy dload folder to your SD card and repeat the DLOAD method

You have to download and use for DLOAD both update.zip and update_data_full_hw_meafnaf.zip (both files must be put as is into the DLOAD folder)
Some packages may even have three update***.zip files for DLOAD
Generally, judge by names, if package name shows both L09 and L19 and if you see in the filelist two files with the same names except that one contains L09 in its name, the other L19 in its name, then (for your L19) forget that with L19 in the name.
This package, as the name clearly says is for EVA-L19c185 not for some MHA, L19, c432 or else
In the OP post it was asked for EVA-L19c185
You came later, if you have different phone you have to go to the top of the page and instead of EVA-L19c185 enter EVA-L09c432 or exactly what is your model and cust (based on Settings/About)
Then press Find my model.
Only FullOTA-MF-PV packages are for DLOAD

By "flashing" do you mean DLOAD or what?
With DLOAD you cannot do rebranding by going from eg c185 to c432 or so - for that Bootloader must be unlocked and other methods used
What is exactly the full EMUI name and number, best please attach screenshot from Settings/About.
And what do you want to install
If you just want to update to the latest for your model and cust, did first try OTA (both SiM and WiFi must be on), and did you try updating by HiSuite (in the app on the PC find in the bottom Install or Update, not sure how is it named)

With c900 there are no OTAs (maybe) and no FullOTA-MF-PV firmwares for DLOAD
Going to different cXXX means rebranding and requires the unlocked Bootloader
I don't see firmwares for EVA-L09c555, only for c55.
But from the other post you tried to download L09GBRc555 - frankly, I don't know what's that (3UK H3G?)
Probably rebranding to c432 would be the best choice (with unlocked Bootloader but not with simple DLOAD - it would brick the phone)
