Right on bro, at least everyone will know they can flash @Allooosh98'so N7 port. The options are finally growing ha. A big thanks to @messi2050 for the permissive kernel and TWRP.

You have to extract the downloaded zip file to get the correct kernel.img file.

My bad. Added to the post that the kernel zip needs to be extracted.

Does WiFi fix work for anyone else? I still can't turn on WiFi. I followed instructions very closely. Thanks again, for working on the J700T

Used all my high speed data using this ROM. The WiFi fix did not work on my phone SM-J700T. Any suggestions?

Don't know why the WIFI fix is not working, but in case it does not. Here are the instructions on how to do it manually.
Download this View attachment wifi.zip and put it in your exernal SD card.
In TWRP, mount the system ( Mount > Check system ), and then navigate to system/etc/wifi with the file browser ( Advanced > File browser )
Delete all the files in there, and then copy all the files from the zip to the wifi folder.
Reboot. If this does not work please tell me.
Sorry again about that.
Changed instructions in post until I can figure out why the automatic fix is not working.

wifi works now but will the camera bee fixableby transfering the apks of the original like the wifi

Nope, phone still crashes by moving the stock ROM camera app to the ROM.
Closest I've gotten to a working camera was a error "Server error occurred. Restart Camera." By changing out these files from the stock ROM to this ROM :
libcamera_client.so
libcamera_metadata.so
libcameraservice.so
libcameraserive_cameramodule.so
But for some reason changing out just those 4 files causes the phone to lag like crazy.

also one more thing snapchat force reboots aswell u could put that in the bugs

Yes Snapchat did the same for me but I figured because the camera bug. Can confirm installed and booted/working on J700T1 as well guys... no wifi

The T and T1 have the same wifi files, the phones are identical from the factory minus 3 or 4 apps. The firmwares are interchangeable. You must have missed a step, walk us through your process.
Also any app that has a camera built in reliance is not gonna work, clearly, since the camera isn't working yet.

I fixed my WiFi.

I think you have to put it on the external SD card...
Well, i didn't get any with the phone, and haven't bought any. So don't have any
Like morsha said, you need to have an external sdcard for this operation, it seems

Flashed new baseband - OK
Flashed ext4 ROM - OK (quite fast), but wifi seems to have some problems... :S
/2nd edit
wifi is working again after ned flash with full wipe... Seems the wifi driver gets corrupted when the filesystem is convertet, but stays intact when system is reinstalled the 2nd time.

update: yep it works with wifi now! thanks for the tip.
Basically, to get wifi working again, you do this:
Flash rom, boot phone, reboot into recovery, flash rom again, then boot phone again. And poof, your wifi should work like a charm again. ^-^
a big thank you Paul for your great work
Nice speed improvements, thank you. Don't forget to update your baseband first to avoid the WiFi errors!
Weird enough my tapatalk app can't find it's license with this one. Tried both new install and upgrade. No biggie but maybe good to know.

For now, flash, reboot, run recovery and flash again.

[SOLUTION] WIFI is not working...

... after ROM or KERNEL change.
There can be 3 ways:
1. phone reboots after you turn wifi on
2. there is "error" message after you turn it on
3. everything looks fine, it just not see and router
Ad.1 (very rare): this rom/kernel combination is useless - it will NOT work.
Ad.2 (sometimes): this rom/kernel combination is broken: you can try replace wifi modules from another (working) rom. Sometimes there is difference in build.prop :
wifi.interface=wlan0
wifi.interface=tiwlan0
You may need to edit that after you change drivers.
Ad.3 (most common): drivers works, but old config is not compatible. You need delete file
/system/etc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf
and reboot phone.
Use Ghost Commander, Root Explorer or any file manager that can delete files from system partitions.
I hope it helps, because I see that question in forum manymanymany times.
what drivers are you saving? /system/etc/wifi?
the 3 pieces?
hmm, now that you mentioned it, how to fix wifi on the latest cm-nighlty for x8?

Use last FXP030, FXP028 or CM71.

Xperia X8 Kernel Tweaks for Wifi Use

Hello my xperia X8 had a problem with its wifi in custom roms.
Basically it had this problem many times in the stock rom too but it could be fixed by factory reset and Sony Companion.
Anyway am currently using Ginger DX and i cant use the wifi.
I tried tweaking the modules and things but nothing .
I need an app or a way prefferably without custom kernel (because i fried my phone ones with this) to be able to use the freaking wifi
if the custom kernel is the only was so be it.
The error that i get is this when i open the wifi and got to its settings it turns on and off forever and somethimes i get the error that the wifi settings is not responding.
Thank you
If you need any info please feel free to ask.

you need wifi? reflash kernel, full wipe, and reinstall the rom, do not apply tweaks which you do not have a knowledge to apply because it can lead to malfunctions

[FIX][i9300][26/10/2013]Camera stopped working, error on Samsung based ROMs

I want to offer you a little fix for those of you who actually experience this problem. On some Samsung based ROMs, some people complain about not working cameras, no matter how often they tried to install a ROM after several wipes. This error may occur in case your camera uses a different firmware.
Most people however won´t experience this error.
I´ve created a little Fix which is actually very easy to apply as a flashable zip. It was intended to be used with my Samsung Galaxy S3 ROM, it may also work with every other Samsung based ROM
Here is the link: Camera Fix for Samsung based ROMs
Simply install this file through your custom recovery
Just in case this patch should not work for everyone, leave me a comment and I´ll see what I can do
What does it do?
Sent from my CM10.3 Galaxy S3.
This fix includes one missing binary which some specific cameras require in order to be able to be used.
If you don´t have any trouble starting the camera app, using the camera, you don´t need to flash this zip Even if everything works fine and you do install this fix, it wouldn´t harm your system

just flashed it, doesn`t work for me unfortunately. :crying: :crying: :crying:
i have this problem you told of since a very long time and i really can't get rid of it. makes me fckn sick. i could cry on and on.
what else is possible to do? every litte hint is very much appreciated.
There are more binaries available, the one I included is a more common one. Samsung uses 2 different cameras ( Sony or Samsung ).
Does your camera work 100% with a Stock ROM ? If so, have a closer look in /data/cfw and show me what you find inside ( eg. SlimISP_xx.bin ).
Flash a Stock Firmware, make sure to copy the file and add it here as a zip file. By installing custom ROMs, your cfw folder will be empty most the time if these files are not added by the ROM itself.

hi guys,
thx a lot for your words. here is what i've done:
i just flashed a stock rom and the camera works. then i installed cf root and root explorer but /data/cfw is an empty folder. so i can`t copy anything here.
with the custom rom and the cam not working i had a file like SlimlSp00.bin (or something similar) in this particular folder but not now.
what to do now or did i misunderstand something?

Just out of curiosity, did you try to remove this file ? Maybe your camera tries to load this binary though it´s not suitable for your model. You can try to create a different folder and first copy the found bin ( just to have a spare copy ), remove SlimlSpxxx out of your data/cfw folder.
Wipe your Dalvik Cache and restart the ROM

If your camera doesn´t work with this binary, you may need another one..and there are lots of them to try but you have to chose one which is suitable for a Sony or a Samsung camera Well, there is a easier way out if you try to upgrade your camera firmware.
Before we proceed, I need some details first, which type of camera you have in order to pick up a suitable binary.
1) Dial *#34971539#
2) pick up this option: "Phone/Cam FW Check"
3) Show me what you see
4) Chose this option: "Phone/Cam FW Write"
A short explanation :
GDxxx = Sony
ZFxxx = Samsung

alright, i for sure will give you every information you need.
under "phone/cam fw ver check" i see
rear camera
cam fw ver: GDF
phone fw ver: GDFI02
front camera
cam&phone fw ver: S5K6A3
"Phone/Cam FW Write" isn't available in that form. options with "write" are only "phone to cam fw write (rear)" (but this is greyed out so i can't touch it) and "fw write count".

Sims stuck on 2G
For some reasons I can't enable 3G, I've entered my APN manually and edited the imei values to match the old ones, still stuck on 2G.
There used to be an option in the stock rom to choose which SIM gets the 3G and which sticks with 2G, didn't find it here.
Also I can't set the screen brightness to auto, is this happening with everyone or just me?

In our phones 3G(and lower) works only in first slot for sim card. Second slot uses only 2G(and lower).
In first slot set your sim card, that you need for 3G, and then write APN.
Same to do with your second slot and second sim card. Done.
Auto brightness doesn't work. I don't know why... I never used it, sorry...
Wifi hotspot?
Hello, thank you for your reply, but I'm yet to be able to enable 3G (2G works fine tho), and I've noticed that I can't enable the Wifi hotspot, as soon as the slider is enabled, it goes back off (pretty much like the 3G thing).
So I'm guessing there is something wrong with my setup? I used TWRP 2.8.7.0 but I don't see how it allows things to work and others not to, can it be the reason? And would flashing it again make it work (with the Gapps you provided, I'm having google store issues).
Thanks in advance.

3G(in first slot) works perfectly for me, why you have issues?.. It's strange...
You can to use TWRP 3.0.2-0 from this thread, but i don't think that it will solve problem...
Backing up and trying again
I'm thankful for all of your hard work, I am backing up and will flash again (cm_11 and gapps) and will see what happens.
I'm interested if other roms for Samsung Core prime would work for this phone, since you ported the 4.4.4, can the 5.1.1 and / or other versions be ported here as well? I'd like to have the latest update possible for this phone.

Hello and thank you!
For 5.1.1 we haven't kernel... When i have ported ROM, also ported boot.img, replaced split_img(zImage, dtb, etc) and have changed some thing in ramdisk. This phone still haven't update to 5.0, that we will can to use boot.img for porting... So, we can't to port any ROM higher 4.4.4
All this is very sad...
Also,it's very important, need to have bigger knowledge and experience, than i have

I've flashed Kanas on my phone and back to the old one, it's a bit bigger and has an Alarm and calculator by default, but I still have the same hardware issues: No wifi hotspot, no 3G. So I'll stick to the TWRP backup that has all my settings and data for now, appreciate all the help.

Ok...
Try this zip:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1MnFzuGjoAPSVJ4Q3dSMUViSHc/view?usp=sharing mod_AIO
Flash zip file via TWRP.
If this does not work, extract the zip file and replace in the lib folder all libcamera..... .so files with your stock files. This is a zip file for fixing Ril, Camera, Bluetooth ...
In the hw folder, libcamera.sc8830.so and libcamera2.sc8830.so files already is modified .

Maybe will to need libcamera.sc8830.so and libcamera2.sc8830.so files from your stock rom. They must to be modified, like written in guide.
Wish you good luck :good:
