Lg G Flex Root D950G

Does anyone know how to root running 4.4.2? Only method I can find is to downgrade first to 4.2.2. If that is the only way, can somebody point me the way to a download and instructions to do this for the g flex?
Towelroot is the way

supposedly you cant root with a factory 4.4.2. you have to downgrade first.
I've already answered you in one thread you posted this. Try to keep these in one place and you'll get some help. Use stump root from the g3 forum.
Also, questions go in q and a. development is for devs to release eek.

Tried it doesn't work. Tried Towelroot doesn't work. Tried ioroot doesn't work. I have tried so much, they all have to be downgraded with this and At&t model

Tried yesterday even asked developer about my model to see if it could get supported. If so, he would be a hero to many a g flex owners
It looks like the only way to root D950G running stock 4.4.2 is to downgrade. Does anyone know where instructions are for that?
Oh I'm in wrong section. Dame, just created new thread, didn't see any other selections. Will look harder next time ****

When stump root said not supported did you select to brute force it? It worked perfectly on my T-Mobile flex so don't see why it won't work for yours.

Yes I brute forced twice. It seems all root methods work on t mobile but not my D950G model or at&t D950. Only way to I to downgrade so far. I have rooted a wack of phones and this is the easiest method ever, no screwing it up.

Well that's strange. Anyways of i get a second I'll make a twrp zip of the kit Kat for your phone. Then you can just flash that and before rebooting flash the latest supersu zip, like what D-Fuse made for T-Mobile.
---------- Post added at 07:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:32 PM ----------
By the way did you download the supersu apk and open it after running brute force. Stump doesn't install it and i had to open it and update su binary once before everything worked

Thanks but I am on kit Kat, I need to downgrade to jelly bean 4.2.2 to root. No I didn't install super user because it said device not supported
I'm taking about doing this with your stock kit Kat kdz. Then follow those instructions so after flashing the zip you'd flash the supersu zip. That would leave you on stock rooted kit Kat

Or you could make it yourself following this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2666967
Do you think I could use the first option? I see sprint, at&t, and t mobile. I use rogers, model almost at&t D950G compared to at&t's D950.
For the second option, is it ok to use for my flex if I get kdz/tot for this phone? Just wondering because it only says G2. Thanks
That's how i made the Sprint downgrade zip and D-FUSE made all his zips. Just download the latest kit Kat kdz for your phone and follow the instructions i linked. It's very easy, should only take an hour or so depending on your computer
Cool have everything downloaded will give a shot later. There's an app call lg phone from, it tells everything about phone and even gives link to your kdz

This is to be used only if you already have the 10N bootstack already flashed. I would use micromod's 10N flash to stock then use this for root.

Unlocked AT&T Note 8 doesn't work on Verizon network.

I got my AT&T Note 8 unlocked yesterday but when I insert my active Verizon sim card nothing works. I gave Verizon the current sim and imei numbers as well as verified the current network settings. A few people here said all they did was unlock and pop the new sim in. And help would be greatly appreciated.
Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
I did the same with my AT&T Note 8. It will not work. You have to Flash the unlocked or Verizon firmware. I flashed the unlocked firmware and it works with Verizon. There is a thread on xda with instructions.

That's not just you, we only have 950U and 950U1, every device. Even Verizon phones and be flashed with any snapdragon firmware. All you have to do is find the same bootloader version, 1, 2 or 3 or even go straight for Oreo. It will make the phone stock to that carrier. No sim unlock needed.

Will this work on any carrier phone such att branded s9 will this allow us to get Hotspot working
Does this require unlock bootloader first?
What are the benefits of installing this over my T-mobile software? No root yet, right? Does it at least unlock the Sim?

None, it doesn't unlock the sim or allow root. Most people use this to remove carrier bloatware or as a stepping stone to convert from one carrier firmware to another.
I had auto update off and it did a auto update to June 1 will this no longer work? I've been waiting to hear back about the Hotspot I asked about and yesterday it did a auto update

I believe the latest U1 firmware and Latest AT&T firmware match(both end in ARF4) so you should be able to still do this.

MetroPCS should be the T-Mobile version, at least to my knowledge. I believe MetroPCS is a prepaid company owned by T-Mobile.. Just as Boost mobile is the prepaid version of Sprint.
