Windows outbound firewall and Remix OS Player - Remix OS Player

What, specifically, needs to be allowed through the Windows Outbound Firewall for Remix OS Player? I've tried exempting just about every executable in the the RemixOSPlayer directory, but the player still can't get through.
thx

How to view recorded videos on pc or Xbox 360?

So when I record videos on my Tilt it records in mp4 format. How can I convert them to something Windows Media Player can play on a pc (or an Xbox 360 can play on the tv)?
In order to play them on my pc I just rename the file from "video.mp4" to "video.3gp". It gives me a warning message that the file may become unstable or might not play, but I have not had a problem yet. Also I use quicktime to play the file on my pc after I have renamed it to 3gp format, WMP still won't play it. Quicktime wouldn't play it in mp4 format, but will if its named 3gp. Be sure to keep a backup of the file in the original mp4 format, just in case, it never hurts to have a copy of the original. If your stuck with just WMP then I am sorry, I have no clue.
Yeah, the Xbox 360 uses WMP, so Quicktime isn't an option for me.
I am trying to stream something from my PC to my Xbox 360 (and displayed on my tv).
I would think that since I am using Microsoft Windows Mobile to record the video that it would be compatible with a Microsoft Xbox 360. But then again, we all know how great the Microsoft MSN service works in Microsoft Outlook, so I guess this isn't surprising.
They really need to get it together at Microsoft. If they could make their left hand work with their right hand they would have a pretty nice body. But as is they don't have a body, they have a bunch of body parts that aren't connected.
It's ridiculous to me that a top of the line PDA phone running a Microsoft OS can record pretty decent quality videos, but can't play them on Microsoft's flagship multi media device- the Xbox 360, and can't even play them on Microsoft's own Windows Media Player.
/rant. Hopefully somoene knows a workaround...
I think if you go to Micro-soft web site , then to down loads, you can get a add-on that will do what you are looking to do
I look around and see if I can find a link for you..
you could do a google search for the MP4 codec that's the codec I use most often on the Microsoft Zune its accually a higher quality of video I think. Also if your using windows vista theres a free codec package out there that has just about every codec you could ever want when I get home i'll post you some links
The reason it wont play on the Xbox 360 is because it uses an audio codec that the Xbox dosent suport according to the software I got it says the audio codec our phones record in is "samr: ARM Narrowband"
http://forum.teamxbox.com/showthread.php?t=558753 thats what the xbox suposivly suports
for the PC follow F2504x4

has anyone got BBC iplayer working?

hi everyone,
I have a problem with iplayer. I changed the user agent in opera beta and when I click the link to watch, the window media pops up and say cannot open the file?
thanks
Opera Mobile can't play Flash streaming. You can try Skyfire. But otherwise there isn't anyway of watch BBC iPlayer on Pocket PC yet. At least not until Adobe has released a new version of FlashPlayer for Windows Mobile.
Grab the Kinoma play player - it can play the bbc streams (from it's media guide)
-mark
Go to http://get.skyfire.com/
It plays Iplayer through the website - www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer
It also plays flash games.
I have it working with Opera, but the video streaming is handled by the HTC Streaming Media application (in my case I have version 2.20).
When you select a programme to watch it seems to load a .3pg file so I would have thought having Flash ruing would not be a requirement.
@ butpatbut: The problem is that Opera associates the sdp video wrapper with windows media player. The solution is to edit the opera.ini file in \Application Data\Opera 9.5 beta (or whatever Opera version you have)
Change the [File Types] section to point to the HTC streaming player instead of Windows Media Player. See below:
[File Types]
application/sdp=3,\Program Files\StreamingPlayer.exe,,,sdp,|
application/mheg=3,\Program Files\wmplayer.exe,,,mheg,|
application/rstl=3,\Program Files\wmplayer.exe,,,rstl,|
video/x-ms-asf=3,\Program Files\wmplayer.exe,,,asf,asx,|

Cheers blakem21, that solves the problem. I am a happy man now

mp3 files are "unknown file type"

I feel sure this is the reason that my phone will not play them as a ringtone. I have read previous threads about this issue and have noted what everyone else has tried.
mp3 files play fine with Windows Media and Pocket Player, I have associated the mp3 file extension with Windows Media and it still will not play an mp3 as a ringtone. I must add that they did until recently, whether it was an update to Pocket Player or a registry screw up I'm not sure. However when I look at the mp3 ringtones in the Rings folder Windows says "unknown file type".
Any help on how to help Windows recognize mp3 again?
Cheers,

Can it do this?

Run programs for windows? For instance, what happens if i try to install an old adventure game for say win95? Can i just install f.ex. the regular VLC player or do i need a spesial winmo VLC player? Is this phone anything like a laptop, i guess is what i'm asking...
If not, how do you guys play your favorite oldschool pc games on it?
I ordered it last week, and still waiting..
It does not normally do that
Mate, people have done all sorts of weird stuff to get games from other Microsoft platforms playing on WM devices but in general people play games built for the Windows Mobile operating system.
VLC is some sort of media player with games built in right?
In general trying to play a PC game on your WM device will be as useful as your title is to someone searching this thread!
The answer is no. It's a totally different processor with a different instruction set and the OS is Windows CE, not '95 or XP. It's not like an 'old' Windows PC.
