Cellular strength and throughput - HTC U Ultra Real Life Review

Must say pretty dissapointed in the signal where I used to get 3-4 bars I now get 1-2 hoping it's a software/radio issue that gets fixed

I have found the cell reception to be quite good. I'm coming from a 10 and I felt that the cell reception was always average at best with that phone. Tests with Open Signal show that the Ultra is getting much better throughput than the 10 in each of the locations that I have tested. If a future update improves upon that, that'll just be icing on my cake.

My cheap samsung has better wifi signal
Good ... but I've had better with an old phone, the Sammy S III
It's odd, my g3 reported a weaker signal but constantly connected. My v10 reports a better signal but the first attempt almost always fails regardless of the app. It was like a 3-4 dB difference between the phones. But when it's connected I've had better speeds with my v10
Very poor compared to my past HTC's
The WiFi connection drops frequently on my V10. It's one of the only things I'm disappointed in. I'm hoping a future firmware update will make it better.
Compared my Note 4 wifi connectivity to the LG V10 side by side, the Note 4 shows a better throughput connection figure.

the top in Cellular Strengh in my opinion are Huawei devices.
after that, the One+ 3T followed by Samsung and LG. after those, Sony...
keyone falls right around Sony.
As a field engineer, I spend a lot of time inside relatively isolated areas with very poor reception, this phone got me struggle with 2G calls and Texting. my Huawei Mediapad 10 remains on 4G with at least 50% reception.

Great reception!
Wi-Fi strength is great! Better than my previous Mi 5 phone. Tried in multiple cases
