You need to download full firmware for your phone version. Put it on sdnin dload folder then turn off the phone completely. After that volume up and down together (no power button). It should install the whole system again. If I remember correctly all steps :silly:

Close enough. Actually, you have to press volume up, down AND the power button to install the firmware.
The whole process is the following :
- Use Huawei Firmware Finder to find the correct ROM to install on your device and download it. Be sure to download the correct file corresponding to your firmware/build version. This is VERY important.
- Plug your Honor 5C to your computer and create a dload folder to the root of your internal storage.
- Extract the archive you got from Huawei Firmware Finder and put the update.app file in the dload folder.
- Now put your phone off and back on by pressing simultaneously volume up, down and power button altogether. That should take care of that soft brick of yours and reinstall the whole system.
After that, you should be good to go.

Hi ! Thanks for your reply ConradP and Zarou !
For download the firmware, I have a beta Nougat update, so... How can I find the firmware for update ?
Thanks !

Unfortunately, I don't know about beta update, sorry. Maybe you can download your previous firmware from HFF (the one you had before the beta) and then get back the Nougat update from where you got it in the first place.
By the way, are you sure that Nougat is supported by your device ? Apparently the beta is for some firmware variants only.

Hi !
This link was you redirected to the image for my honor 5C Nougat 7 and.. When how can I find the update for this version ?
Thanks man

[P8 Lite] Updating the huawei p8 lite when it rootes

Hello, what going to append if i update my rooted phone on B136 to B170 because i readed that if i update with OTA Update my phone can go in a bootloop. Thanks for the answer.
It might be possible. Do not update ota when you are rooted. Download the latest firmware from huawei-updates.ru for your specified model, take the zip into your sdcard in a folder named dload ( you can create it if you dont have it) and go to updater, local update and select it.
Thanks ! and like that I'm not gonna have any problem ?
And and I can directly go to B170 or not?

Thanks it worked !
No problem sir, here to help
Nooo! don't know why but my phone go to a bootloop.... tried everythink....
Hmm, try to plug in it an usb cable and flash an old firmware for it trough adb.
Can you give me some link to do that ? and thanks !
U need adb toolkit, a version of b170, search on huawei-updates.ru , prefferably the european version. Get huawei package extractor and extract from update.app found in the zip of b170, system.img, cust.img, boot.img,recovery.img. and flash them one by one in fastboot mode. If not, if u had a nandroid backup made with twrp u can restore. U can search google on a detailed guide to do that, as I may induce you in error, not a native explainer talent here
Or you can extract it and flash automatically all in one clic with a script(for all firmware )

I got to beta 6.0, installed twrp, root it, but it did not permanently, uninstall some system app (google+, maps, etc) after a few reboots superSU was asking for binaries; so I unroot it.
How can I get back to stock recovery? And if so, If I make a factory reset, would it boot correctly for a new setup (because of the erased apps earlier).
Thanx mates, regards

*FIXED* No OS installed no backup, install stock rom with TWRP *FIXED*

**UPDATE RESOLVED**
For anyone who searches and has same problems.
I needed an sdcard to get the files onto the phone.
To recap - it was stuck in boot, TWRP would load and stated no OS installed.
1. In rooting guide as per Here download file linked in the guide and unzip.
2. From folder 3 of that zip file there is a folder called data containing stock.img - place this onto sdcard.
3. Then go to this thread and download the files as hosted on mega.nz - over 2 gig.
4. Extract that zip to the sd card so that on the card is a folder called 'dload'
5. To confirm, the dload folder should have update.app and 2 folders called dt and hw
6. Put sdcard into phone.
7 .Boot into TWRP
8. Goto install, select storage, select your sdcard then select stock.img, agree to install, ignore message about no os.
9.Once that has installed my phone just restarted, EMUI came up, read the dload folder automatically and ran.
Then once phone started it found a newer update and installed that.
Phone is now working, unrooted and bootloader is locked again.
All this was found on the XDA site, just across various posts.
Thanks again to all.
********ORIGINAL BELOW********
Hi all.
Please help, I'm a ****!
I unlocked bootloader with Huawi code from thier website.
Then I installed TWRP
Which in turn installed SuperSU
All rooted, jobs a fish. as per - This one and This thread.
Decided I dont need root anymore.
Tried to reset and wipe the phone.
Went into TWRP did a factory reset wipe.
Then went into TWRP again and did advanced wipe, and selected everything.
(yes yes i know, what a tit)
So after that i get the 'this phones is unsecured' message, press up vol 3 seconds, press power button to conti, wait 5 seconds etc.
so I wait, and it sticks on 'Your device is booting'
Restart, can get into stock recovery and hisuit will see the phone and try to restore it but fails and say my device is not supported??
Can get into erecovery and connected to wifi to try and update but does not find anything to download.
can get into twrp.
I have downloaded a stock rom as per -- This ROM
Perhaps this is not the correct ROM, but then how do i find out the correct ROM needed now I can not access phone details?
Forced that onto SD card but TWRP will not run it and says it is corrupt.
I can see it with ADB and device manager so my question really is....HELP??
How can i get just stock rom back onto it and then un-root and re-lock the bootloader?
Cheers in advanced.

you can find the model (for me it's vns-l31) on the back of the phone, just find the corresponding oeminfo file and the update file. flash the oeminfo file, put the update file from the rom zip in the dload folder and reboot using the 3 button combo till it says something about installing update
here's a list of update files: https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...huawei-p9-lite-firmware-compilations-t3517124
and here you can find the oeminfo files, there's a google drive link under oemfiles, at least for the vns-l21, 22 and 31: https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...nt/europe-vns-l31-toolkit-bootloader-t3432873

Hi, thanks for the reply.
All of those links refer to the P9 Lite - is this the same internals and software as the normal P9?
On the back of my phone it has - Model- EVA - L09 FCC ID: QISEVA-LO9 - IC: 6369A-EVALO9
I do not see how this relates to specific oeminfo file?
Lasatly, can you provide details on how to flash the oeminfo file to device and do you mean the following for the update:
So in rom sip there is a update.app file - extract this to sdcard in a new folder called dload? then install that via twrp?
Cheers

first of all, no, p9 is a different phone, but you posted on the p9 lite forum. i'd suggest posting this question on the p9 forum.
i don't know exactly how it works for the p9, but it shouldn't be much different.
for the rom zip: inside that zip there's an update.app file, that file should indeed be put in a new folder called dload, but it won't be installed through twrp.
on the p9 lite it works like this: you flash the oemfile through twrp, and after that push and hold both volume buttons and the powerbutton till the phone reboots and shows an update progress screen, then you can release the buttons. now the update file will be installed. but then again, i don't know the procedure for the p9 so be sure to post your question on the correct forum.
edit: i've taken a look on that link to the stock rom you tried installing, it's a zip file that contains the dload folder, just put that folder on the root of your sdcard. do make sure it's the correct version.
you will have to flash the stock recovery for your phone however, and if the p9 works the same way as the p9 lite you should find an oeminfo file and flash that with twrp.
So sorry, I didn't realise I was in the lite forum!
I'll ask a mod to move, sorry and thanks for you help.

here's a link to the oeminfo for eva -l9: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/c432-oeminfo-flash-twrp-t3384903 i think that one should be flashed in twrp, and after that you can use the 3 button combo
no problem at all

Yureka 2 :NO OS installed .Do you want to reboot ? Clicked reboot.Mobile hangs
Hi,
I tried to install Lineage OS 15.1 custom ROM using TWRP recovery in my Yureka 2 YU5551. I wiped out the data before flashing. During flashing I faced Error 7 and unable to install custom ROM.Twrp asked this- NO OS installed. Do you want to reboot? I Clicked reboot and my mobile not even booted properly. Still hangs. I tried to open recovery mode using the power button and volume up and volume down button. I am unable to go to recovery mode. When I connect my mobile to my laptop its not recognizing as the phone is not restarting.

After flashing the 1st file I'm stuck on Huawei logo! I can't enter eRecovery or any other thing except fastboot & Rescue mode and I can't seem to flash anything else even using fastboot commands it keeps on giving me failed remote command not allowed and I have installed all the correct drivers. please help my phone has been useless for the past 2 days!
I tried Volume up + power nothing happens just vibrates twice and then goes back to boot logo and stays there.
I tried Volume down + power it goes into the white screen but when I try with Hisuite it says your phone isn't supported and when I used programs like SRK Tool it can't flash anything always returns error command not allowed.
I tried putting correct update.app on SD card and using Volume up and down + power button but it just vibrates twice and never goes into the recovery window!! All this happened after I flashed the 80MB file for L31.
I wasn't rooted before I was on N from the OTA update and wanted to rollback to MM

Download stock firmware and flash it via dload method.
i dont know exactly how to do it. Do i just create dload folder on sd card, put the rom in it, then turn off the device, pres volume + and - and power button? or do i have to do even something else?
And where can i download Stock ROM? I downloaded some but i dont know if it is legit, official ROM

Hi, i have another, similar problem... I tried to flash the Elite ROM v5.1 but i didnt succeed so i decided to restore my old rom from backup with TWRP. When i restored it it just didnt load. It was stuck on honor logo for a long time. I tried the dload method many times but nothing worked so far. I even tried unbrick it with HUAWEI Multi-tool but it also didnt worked.
Now i cant acces anything, just fastboot. Please can you help me somehow?

Unable update to VLE L29C636B389

My Phone is P9 plus. VIE L29C636B370. Emui 5.0. Android 7.0.
I am facing a problem. I want to update the software version from VIE-L29C636B370to VIE-L29C636B389. But when i finish download the package and it tell me to reboot, it just turn into the eRecovery. This is the first problem i am facing. Actually is this correct?
The second problem is when i press eRecovery's "Download latest version and recovery". But it just show "Getting package info failed" after "Getting package info from server" everytimes.
Anybody here facing the same problem?? Also anyone know how to solve it??? i have did some research but still cant figure out where it goes wrong. i try to use HiSuite once but it just tell me its already the latest version.
I may can't answer information you need immediately if you need because time here is UTC +800, so sorry

As the guide required TWRP, i went to flash twrp by adb. The cmd showed me it flashed "OKAY" but when i tried to enter twrp by pressing vol+ and power key at the same time, it stopped at a page showing "Your device is booting now...". Is there any thing i did wrong?
The version of the twrp is twrp-3.2.3.0-vienna . If i need to lower the version of TWRP, which version of TWRP i should go for? Thanks for helping.
I had tried to lower it to 3.0.2.0 but it stopped on the same page.
Yeahhhhhh! TWRP finally success installed! The version is 3.1.1-1. I am going to install the three zips. If i have more problem or successfully update to the version i want, i will write down here.

I downloaded a zip called "HWOTAUdateSCRIPT". However, it just failed and showed something like"getting package failed". And then the recovery page poped out i pressed both factory reset and clear cache. All the setting had to be set again like a new phone. I check again the version. ITS STILL VIE-L29C363B370
Here is the LATEST NEWS!
After followed the guide which can be found at the upper floor, my phone‘s version was still B370 which I mentioned before.
However, when I checked again the official ota update without any hope, the amazing thing happened. It's allowed me to update! And now I had already updated to B394 BY OTA UPDATE.
I tried to boot into twrp but I cannot. It just turned into the original stock recovery page. I also tried to boot into fastboot page but I also cannot do that. I guess when I followed that tutorial and flashed that zip by twrp had *locked* my bootloader. I guess Ed this because the page
`
Your device has been unlocked and cannot be trusted
`
has stopped showing when I reboot my device.
I am very thank to Jvelasco who has provided the link for me. I must can't find that link by myself.:highfive: thank you very much

I'm glad you could update, but in reality this is simple...
With this guide maybe I could update to Oreo (Android 8) but should not venture to this (it's just informative), this guide is for the P9 but basically it's the same for the P9 Plus.
Currently I have in my P9 Plus Oreo Stock B533 rebrand VIE-AL10 (Chinese)
