IDOL 4S rebooting loop issue - Alcatel Idol 4S Questions & Answers

Hi,
This morning my idol 4s 6070O -up to date MM from alcatel- suddenly rebooted and since then its keeping on rebooting showing the alcatel logo then idol 4s logo and sometimes the blue alcatel animation and sometimes not.
i went to master / Hard reset from recovery menu by pressing power key along with the volume up key and then wiped both cache partition and wiped data / format system
Also, tried the SUGAR QCT tool But after more than once, all in vain
still looping and never startup the launcher.

The rebooting does only happen when trying to start the launcher but never during using recovery menu. So, this is probably is NOT a battery problem but instead it is a software issues.
Would you recommend any sequence to fix my firmware to help?
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Kindly advise
Thank you

No solution so far ya abdo.
You need to send it back where you have purchased it to get a replacement, cuz akeed you have not buy it from egypt.
Seems a problem with the motherboard so you get a new device, at least i did so

Alcatel idole 4s android model bricked
My friend from Portugal gave me one Alcatel idol4s, now it stuck on android logo. It can only enter into download mode. Is there any Qfil rom for this one? to use qpst or xiaomi flash tool need qfil rom... please help

I realize this is a bit old of a thread but I found a youtube video with a guy that had the exact same problem. He shipped it back to Alcatel's reparation service since it was still within the warranty and they said it was a motherboard issue. If it is the same thing it'll be very difficult to fix yourself so it would be best to see if your phone is still within the one year warranty period.

Boot loop of evil!
I Have the exact same problem, and came here to see if someone had it fixed.
Can anyone help us fix this brick of metal and glass?

I fix it! This is so easy to repair. This morning I had same Bootloop issue with my Idol 4S its keeping on rebooting showing the alcatel logo only. To repair this issue we must get straight to the Recovery and select Wipe Cache option then reboot the phone.
To open Recovery you must feel the moment when the phone restarting by Power On/Offbutton and not automatically (Note: by pressing this combo your phone sometimes load the logo one second later...) When you feel the moment then fast release both buttons (Power & Volume Up) and if you're done it right you will see Recovery Menu.
That's it.

I've found in my line of work that the battery can cause this issue. I've fixed two Idol 4S' by changing the battery. The battery voltage should be 3.7/3.8v, whereas I've recorded 4.2v on an idle battery not being charged.

Same issues
Do you think it's worth it if the battery is not the problem, then you've spent 65 bucks or more, for new battery in a broken phone.

[Q] Hard-Bricked G1

Hi there,
I fear I hard bricked my G1 (after long years of good service as gps device thanks to a 2600mAh battery).
Since it was quite slow on CM7, I downgraded it to CM6.1. But this would'nt boot. (boot loop)
So I did a bit of reading and decided to downgrade the radio too. I downloaded a flashable zip and flashed it the usual way in the CWM recovery - which didn't finish (after a few minutes), so I removed the battery.
Since then my G1 wont start any more. On top of that, it want event charge. If I try to charge it the status led wont event light up. (I already tried it with two different batteries, both yield the same results.)
Funny thing though: If I don't charge it and let it sit for a few hours, the status LED very shortly lights up when pressing the power button. (But other than this nothing happens and if I press the power button again shortly after the LED stays dead.)
So ... I fear the problem is hardware and not software related.
Does anybody have an idea what could be broken (software or hardware) and if it's software based if there's a way to revive my phone?
(Before anybody asks ... yes, I have newer android phones, but I really live my G1 for nostalgic value so if there a way to get it running again I definitely would try.)
thx a lot,
Bapf
Sounds like you need JTAG, and don't take this the wrong way, but flashing firmware isn't the usual way, its the way you brick your phone. If possible always use fast boot to flash firmware or you are asking for a brick.
You can buy the JTAG equipment yourself and the software is free. Or you can see if you can find someone locally to do it. Unless you have a particular sentimental value to this phone it maybe cheaper to buy a new one.... Sorry for bad news

Bricked G1 - Try Again w/ SIM Card IN!
I had the exact symptoms mentioned in this post - tried nearly everything until I finally put back in the SIM card (even through I don't have T-Mobile anymore) - it booted again and registers the AC adapter and/or USB cable. Hope this helps some who are struggling at this level as I did!!

I don't know if this will work,as I've never encountered a situation such as this, but have you tried bootloader(power button+camera button)?
If you can get it into bootloader, then I have the original rc29 DREAIMG.NBH file(plus, rc29 is the best place to start if you want to root it or install a custom rom).If you get it working and just want stock 1.6, i have those updates as well.
(all said out of hope, I have a g1 and I love it,I'm really glad that someone else shares my enthusiasm!!)
If bootloader works, give me your email and i'll send you the files, good luck!:fingers-crossed:
Nope. It won't even start the bootloader.

Well thats unfortunite, I guess it's just for a soft brick.

Note 4 Reboot Problem with Weird Temporary Solution

I'll try to make this short.....
I am using N910T3. Phone was charging in car while using (stop by roadside). Out of sudden it shutdown and went into reboot loop and the phone is extremely hot. I took the battery out for soft reset and try to turn on again. Phone will freeze at different screen (Lock Screen, Home Page, Samsung Logo, Powered by Android) and give two separate vibration before reboot.
I thought it is battery problem so I bought a new battery to try, but still the same problem. So I went on to backup all file before I perform hard reset. While doing that, I find out the phone can be use for longer before reboot if it was stay off for a long time. So I have this crazy idea: put it in a fridge. Surprisingly it works! The phone will not reboot anymore and I can manage to backup all file before doing anything else. Also, the phone will not charge if you plug in right after a few reboot.
Then, along with the fridge method, I perform factory reset through normal android setting. Now it will just stuck at powered by android screen while in reboot loop. I then try to flash with Odin, multiple times. Flash by Odin is complete, phone restart, then it freeze and reboot, at different screen (Installing system update, Erasing, powered by android).
Out of frustration I try with the fridge method to flash, and IT WORKS AGAIN!!!. The phone can now boot to welcome screen where you first setup your phone. However, it will then freeze again and reboot while doing so.
There was only this one time, where I left the phone off for a day after flash with a previous stock ROM, turn it on and skip as much setup as I can, finally reach the homepage screen, then will stay on without any reboot issue. I thought I finally fix it. I then power off the phone, put in my Sim Card and SD Card, power it on, then again, reboot issue appear.
I tried flash with latest stock ROM, previous stock ROM (one updates away), flash any stock ROM with pit file. I sometimes will get error code on device after flash (can't remember the exact error). I also cannot boot into recovery mode without flashing a twrp. Sometimes if success, I will get straight to Lock Screen without going through the phone welcome setup process. But again, none of these I tried can solve the reboot loop.
I may went too far and mix up all steps to the phone. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? Or is my phone, as I believe, has a faulty motherboard that cause the reboot loop? Thanks in advance for reading through my problem!
Hello there, I had a Tmo Note 4 which I loved it until the end, it's a hardware problem and there is no fix for it unless you replace the board, by the time you buy the board and what you need to pay for labor you're going to expend a few hundred dollars, I also tried the freezer method but it finally the phone gave up, it does not turn on anymore. That was my experience. Good luck bud.

Xiaomi A2 dead as a brick

hello all,
I have a Xiaomi MI A2, just a year old, and now dead as a brick. What happened over the past few days:
• After restarting the phone it got stuck in the white start up Android screen with Android's logo;
• Then I tried to load Fast Boot, in which it got stuck as well;
• Eventually it started up again, I tried to restart it and back to the issues of the first two bullet points;
• And after trying a few more times: dead as a brick. It doesn't start in any way, however long I press whatever combination of buttons;
• I don't see the battery symbol on-screen when I charge the battery, nor do I see the battery charging light on. I was advised to replace the battery, so I ordered a new one, and... nothing.
Googling around it seems to be a common issue, but no definite solution found.
Anyone any ideas?
thanks in advance!

Issues probably occurred with first november update . Well for me also this issue i removed sim and plug in charger and as u did, did power on/off finally when i saw battery screen it started. I managed 4 restarts then never turned off. Just today did the ota to 10.0.0.17 (problem rom is 10.0.0.15!) And no probs any more. If that does not work u need to flash to earlier rom or latest.flashing through fastboot could only be done but bringing the phone to edl mode. E.g opening up phone.. i never got that far since i managed to keep it alive but google it.
Good luck

Perfect glad i could help. You should check your rom version (see about screen) if u on 10.0.0.15 you should check ota. I installed the ota while charging. And now everything works as it should!
Well, I went through all the options, without result. Eventually brought it to a service center. Conclusion: CPU broken. How the *** has this been possible!?
thanks anyway.

Self Restart

I have got my Asus ROG Phone II for about 8 months and I have recently got some problems with the software. The phone suddenly turns off on it's own, when I am using it and stucks at the restarting process with Asus Logo and the loading bar on the lower side but doesn't open, even if I wait for a full whole hour. I have to press volume down + power off button to make it work again. I wanted to ask if any of you guys have got the same problem, or any clues how to solve it?
Well I had rooted my phone after a month of it's use and unrooted it. For about 2 Months before, my charging port stopped working and Asus Service Center fixed it, and I guess they somehow flashed my Phone, as I not don't have to download and install the new firmware. It was good in a way but I feel it is getting some lag during the use of certain apps and the problem which I mentioned earlier. I would be thankful and grateful for your replies.

Don't know what the problem is, but you've posted this in the wrong section!
I think I am in a similar situation. My phone's problem is that it kind of crash while booting up (stange lines shows on the screen like some glitch) , it doesnt boot up normally and it loops 3 to 4 times until it's left on a black screen. I am not sure of its status at this point for it is not responsive even to force restart (Vol down + Power) but it does work only once in a couple of minutes and proceeds to bootloop and back again to the black screen. I haven't rooted it but i did flash it from CN to WW which was successful and was using it perfectly for 4 months up until this situation. I dont know what exactly is the problem. Can anyone help me?
Same with me bro... Mines already bricked because of flashing it to the original version

Stuck at no command error and freezing

Hey guys,
I have a problem with this phone. I got my relative's note 8 for trying to fix ( i'm not android expert ).
As she says, for no reason phone freezed and shuted down. After that charging problem started, and battery doesn't show real percentage.
After that i got the phone, and tried to go factory reset in recovery menu. Now phone stucks at samsung logo. Sometimes it stucks at blue screen with "no command" text.
Phone doesn't works all the time also. For example, somehow phone charged %100, after that i tried to open it, it stucked at samsung logo. I tried hard reset, screen off and no more screen. After 4-5 hours it worked again, but stuck at samsung screen again.
I send phone to trusted local repair shop. They couldn't managed to fix also, they reported me that it should be motherboard issue and they can't do anything about it. I don't know did they tried to install stock rom again.
I see no reason for motherboard issue. No water, no big damage or something else happened to phone. There should be a way to fix this and i seek your support here.

I would go with what the repair shop said personally. They certainly know a lot more than I do. Unfortunately things do just break even with no error for the owner themselves.
It is definitely worth trying to flash stock rom with Odin though.
