Rom or Root options for ATT S6 511 with knox tripped - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6

I bought my phone used and found out later that the Knox is tripped so I cant OTA update. Its G920AUCU3BOJ9 5.1.1. I'd like to get a custom ROM and I don't care about Knox\Samsung Pay or anything related to that. I don't know what my options are. Can someone tell me what ROM I can use or if I can root it? Ive looked and searched other threads for a while and there is always a gotcha that doesn't fit my constraints of knox tripped or the version im on or the g920a boot loader locked.

[Q] A quick knox question

I had two S3 LTE. Provider sucks big time on updates (until today, no KK) so on one of them I downgraded, unlocked, then flashed a stock voda kk rom. I knew this would trip the knox flag (the downgrade) but didn't much care about that one (needed it unlocked).
The other I'd prefer not to trip the flag so I unlocked via my provider who conveniently recently reduced the price to a tenner (from 30 quid).
Question. I've seen many people running even custom roms without tripping knox. Yet other have tripped it. So I'm a bit confused as to WHAT trips it. Pretty sure it was the downgrade and unlock method I used on the first one.
Can anyone tell me definitively (the phone's unlocked, still running stock EE JB, and has been factory reset/wiped) if I ODIN the Voda KK rom onto it, whether it'll trip the flag.
Pretty sure not but best to ask...
Cheers & tia

Knox, Bootloaders, Samsung Pay, AT&T--- HELP!

I just pre-ordered my ATT S6 and I've got a few questions! I've been spoiled by my Nexus 4/5 when it comes to "openness" so all this Knox business is new to me.
I'm curious what I'm missing out on if I buy the ATT variant or try and get a T-Mobile phone unlocked. I've done enough reading to know that flashing a custom recovery will trip Knox, so I don't want to do that. If I have the Tmobile ver with a clean Knox, can I still install TW roms with Odin? Or do those require a custom recovery as well?
I'm really trying to decide if I should cancel my ATT pre order and try and get a TMobile model instead... but if the TMobile version won't gain me anything (I want to use Samsung Pay) I might as well stick with what I've got..
Well first off the ATT version will likely ship bootloader locked, which in this case you won't be doing anything custom to the phone that could trip knox...locked BL you won't be able to root (till an exploit is found, the current root depends on an unlocked BL and it will trip Knox)..As for TMO it is likely to be unlocked so you can root it, the current method will trip knox, flashing custom recovery will also trip it, and likely you can't reset that counter once its tripped, also if you flash anything in Odin that isnt official Samsung i believe you will trip knox as well (i believe theres a built in consistency/signature check for this) i could be wrong though as its been a while since I flashed anything on Samsung through Odin, I tripped my tmo s5 day one as I didnt care about the knox features.
AT&T = death to development
Does anyone know if tripping Knox will not allow samsung pay to work?.... That's one of the many features I was looking forward to....

Most likely, nobody is going to know until Pay comes out, so figure August or so.
Damn, that's a long time to wait without rooting... Might just hold on to my note 4 for a bit then.... ?

Knox Warranty

Hi friends,
I upgraded to lollipop on my i9295 and when I go to bootloader I no more find Knox Warranty 0x0, what does that mean that there is no more knox security on my phone?
Can I flash custom kernel and rom freely without voiding my warranty?
Thanks in advance
Can someone advise please

If you Knox counter does not say 0x0, then your warranty has been voided. You can freely flash any Rom or kernel you want since it's no longer 0x0.
I don't really know enough about Knox security to know what exactly it does, but I can tell you that I have both an i537 with Knox security and an i9295 without and I have no idea what the difference is.
Thanks,
Before going to 5.0.1 official (never flashed custom) it was displayed and after the update it dissapear. It seem strange for me
I think there is a misunderstanding it is not that it shows 0x1 but whether it does not show anything about knox on bootloader

Will Root be available for the ATT variant

Just like the title says
Do you guys think the ATT S6 Edge variant would be root able? I'm trying to decide if I should just over to T-Mobile and have less coverage for a more friendly rom experience or stick with ATT and pray to the gods for root /unlocked bootloader.
Have to wait and see if the guys that got their phones today have locked bootloaders. Ive been waiting for someone to confirm this all day
My phone arrives Wednesday, and even if it has a locked bootloader, it can still be rooted (see below, S5 is locked and rooted), but I'm still curious about being able to root this thing.... Has the AT&T Note Edge been rooted? Haven't found anything saying it has yet, so that puts added pressure on finding out about this phone, theoretically
I have my Edge... The recovery log says it is bootloader G925AUCU1AOCE. Isn't that the same as the G4?
Any one been able to validate this yet?

Obviously I meant the S4...j/s
The reactivation lock is set by US when we setup phone. You can turn that off.

Root for S6

I have looked on Google and in here but I can't find a straight answer. If I don't care about tripping Knox is there a way I can root my phone? I just really need to root my phone and I don't care about the warranty if that's the only thing it does. Thanks

Do you have an ATT branded model? If so, if you are on either of the two most recent software updates, there is no root right now.
OK yea im of4 and thanks I just didn't know if I could root and let it trip Knox or not at all
