Hiding Xposed to android system - Xposed General

Hi.
I've done a lot of research, and it seems it's not possible to totaly hide xposed from android system.
I'd like to avoid the "application is not compatible with your device" message on some apps on google play (like fire emble heroes). Seems it have something to do with android pay (safetynet).
There might be a solution as I was able after some research to hide root (with magisk).
I've tried suhide xposed module, magisk root hide, magisk systemless xposed install, systemless xposed install, system xposed install... Nothing seems to work.
Anybody managed to get a working xposed while making google play unaware of that?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated (as I've been working on this problem for 2 months now, around 1-2 hours a day )

[Discussion] PokeMon Go Magisk Discussion Thread

This thread has been created to reduce the amount of clutter in the main Magisk thread, please discuss Magisk + PokeMon Go here.
With me is this happening, did the process and pokemon jog go wheel with root, however when I install Xposed does not work, I downloaded the zip and the apk Xposed, desintalei what was, I was in recovery installed the zip, when you restart disable the root by magisk manager and I run the game without success, to turn off the Xposed and restart the game runs, but when active and restart does not work, sometimes the apk Xposed for work, or is giving error and asking to check records, someone help there? They will excusing my English
So at this point I can't log into pogo because I have Xposed installed (systemless). I was using magisk with phh super user...wasn't working with SuperSU (even with compatible magisk)
At this point if I do a soft reboot it deactivates Xposed (for whatever reason) I can play Pokemon but have to reboot to activate Xposed. So anytime I want to play I have to soft reboot then full reboot. Luckily I don't have to go through optimizing apps...but is there a way around this?
Someone bored should make a zip that removes everything and reinstalls the rest of the stuff needed.

You?
I rather wait for an xposed update. I can play with 0.35 if I really get the itch in the meanwhile. I hardly battle and until legendaries start to appear, I'm just slowly leveling up.
If 86.2 is working, like someone mentioned on the other thread, there has to be a workaround for the 86.5 (maybe a future 86.6?)
Only gripe is that Google is all over this because of paynet so it will be a constant battle.
Only way to calm down this race is for Google/Niantic easing pressure on pogo security so there aren't so many people trying to hack the system and leaving paynet alone.
That would be the smartest move for all (not mentioning calming down thousands of root users).
Interesting times

Actually systemless xposed v86.2 is working fine woth Pokemon go. Some people posted the steps in the other thread.
So I flashed the latest chainfire SuperSU 2.78 r1, v86.2 systemless xposed, and suhide v0.53. Everything works good only problem I'm having excessive location jumps to/from real location while playing pogo with xposed pokemon. Used to have the odd jump back/forth but this is every 5-10 seconds.

Yes, but there are the correct way to flash it with SuperSU and suhide. You can find these steps in the systemless xposed as I told u.

I have tried so many times to do xposed systemless but none of them worked.
I returned to stock image. I created file with "SYSTEMLESS=true" in /data/.supersu
I flashed SuperSU 2.78. Then I flashed systemless xposed v.86.2.
I flashed suhide 0.53. wipe cache/dalvik and nothing works because I think its detecting the xposed framework

Magisk requires a full boot too load is modules, that's why xposed is disabled with a soft boot.
You can also use the disable xposed toggle in the material xposed installer. It would still require a reboot.
Guess I'm out of luck. My phone doesn't meet SuHide requirement. I'm running twrp v.2.8.7.0 not v.3.x.

Losing root after a while?!

Hello folks!
I have a weird problem with my rooted OPX 3.1.3. I'm still using this version because Xposed is not yet officially supported with the november patch (last time I checked, it was being tested).
I haven't been able to successfully hide supersu and Xposed with Chainfire's SuperSU (even tough I think it's very good!). So, instead, I'm using PHH's SuperSU 266-2 with Magisk v9 (and Xposed 86.6). As expected, I can use Android Pay (by hiding it with Magisk Hide functionality), but after a while, I lose the root access... I don't know what to do to cause the problem, I just know it happens. So, I can't give you a step-by-step to reproduce it, which makes it more difficult to diagnose.
A reboot "fix" this, but it's kind of annoying. As this happened to someone else? What could cause this kind of problem?
Thanks and let me know if you need more info!
Remove magisk manager from greenfy-like apps, close the androidpay app after using anf if possible keep magisk manager opened worked for me
My setup is SuperSU 2.78 SR4, suhide, magisk v9, rootswitch 1.3.3.2 and PoGo and Android Pay works. I used the ramdisk patch. Root is never lost.

The "losing root" problem with Magisk Hide is known and under investigation. I saw someone claiming that they didn't experience it anymore after doing a complete uninstall of Magisk and starting over. Otherwise, the only solution at the moment is to reboot the device or disable Magisk Hide.

But magisk in your alternative those nothing it's completely inactive, he would only find magisk useful if he was using another module but not xposed as superSU plus systemless xposed always leads to SN fail

I am having the same problem, but am not using the Magisk hide feature. Have to reboot to restore root - very annoying!
I disabled battery optimization on magisk and super user so we'll see if these fixes it or not.
Edit: as long as magisk hide is on this doesn't seem to help. It's a bug with magisk hide apparently.
I have noticed this twice, and it seems to be related to having the phone die from low battery? This is the only common condition I can recognize with the last two times it has happened.

Yeah, I let it die last night with Magisk Hide off, so that certainly seems to be the issue. I kept root and other modules after I turned it back on.
But even with Magisk Hide on, I never experienced any issues unless the phone died. I had rebooted it a ton of times and never lost any modules. I'm convinced that it has something to do with a "ungraceful" reboot situation and how Magisk Hide must unload itself.
Maybe that's an issue as well but my phone if I pick it up after it's been sitting there and charging or a good amount of battery and try to use root it says there isn't root unless I restart.

Also facing this problem on Nexus 6 (nougat 7.0.1).
In addition to this, when ROOT is lost, Magisk Log is empty.
It happens whatever the day/hour... it just seems to happen after a few hours without using the phone.
- Phone never dead due to battery empty
- android pay DISABLED
- PokemonGO not installed
- Android installed from a Factory Image (november patch NBD91P)
- Magisk V9 + phh_root_r266-2 (the only module)
- magisk hide ENABLED + magisk busybox DISABLED + systemless hosts ENABLED
- greenify installed, but neither Magisk Manager nor SuperSU in the greenified applications

Magisk log is empty because the Magisk Manager can't access the cache folder where it's located (no root, remember ).
It's a known bug, probably due to Magisk Hide being a little too aggressive.
I've noticed that I lose root every time I open Magisk Manager, so I've decided to hide it from to app drawer & have Greenified it in an attempt to stop it from running at all after initial boot - will report back if it works or not.
Edit: so I rebooted and haven't opened the Magisk Manager app since last boot and haven't lost root yet, so, so far so good. (15hrs 30m uptime) - will update if I do.
Edit2: haven't lost root in 2 days now, so looks like a temporary fix?
enabling Magiskhide caused me to lose root

Cant play pokemon go with xposed installed

Hi!
I have been trying for few days to get pokemon work with xposed installed in marshmallow 6.0.1 but with no luck.
I have almost tried everything that I have found in this forum and google.
My phone is Xperia XZ F8331
I have no problem play pokemon on nougot with rooted and magisk installed on my device. Everything works fine but no xposed on nougat for now, I want xposed on my device.
So I downgrade to marshmallow 6.0.1
I root my device
I install magisk
I hide root using magisk hide from pokemon
I start pokemon without any problem.
I install xposed using magisk and restart
Starting pokemon and getting no gps signal error. Pokemon wont start.
Is there any way to get around it? I have been trying everythingto get it to work but with no luck.

What ROM are you using ? If you wan't Xposed to work with PoGo on MM builds, the better is to get rid of Magisk as it seems to complicate things more other.. also install latest systemless SuperSu, Suhide and Root Switch and 86.2 Xposed Systemless. For me works perfectly on post November security patch's ROM (CM13)

Update suhide to the latest version (v0.55). The message "do not support systemless Xposed" can be ignored, it works fine. Make sure you have deleted "su" file from /system/bin and /system/xbin. Also, make sure SuperSU is installed in systemless mode (you can check by opening SuperSU app and scroll down to "Install SuperSU in system mode". If it says "can't be done in systemless mode", then everything is okay).
Also check if your ROM has the security patch level from before November 2016 (Settings -> About device), otherwise it will break Xposed.
It's nor working for my Xperia XZ or Xperia Z3 or Z1.
The only method that works to play Pokémon go with root for me is in Android 7 and only with Magisk.

Pokemon Go detects Xposed installer?
I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 running the stock ROM, Android 6.0.1. I ran the Xposed installer. The installer warned me not to install it because it's not compatible, so I backed out. I haven't been able to play Pokemon Go since this. I was getting 504 errors in Google Play store. I was able to fix that. Pokemon Go installs from the Google Play store now. If I clear the data for Pokemon Go, I can maybe catch one Pokemon before the screen pops up that says I have an incompatible device or OS if I'm lucky.
The Xposed installer must have left some trace of itself on my phone.
Is a factory reset the only way to fix this? Will that even work?

Cannot install any apps after installing Xposed framework (-504 error in Google Play)

A few days ago I posted a question about not being able to install any Xposed modules here, so far no one answered: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-framework-installed-running-t3567230
I thought this problem had something to do with the modules specifically, but it turns out that on my phone, for whatever reason, installing the framework subsequently prevents ALL apps from installing, even those from Google Play itself, displaying a "-504" error.
I see people have asked this question before, but are also not getting answers: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/install-apps-installing-framework-t3430922
Please, if anyone has any idea of why this can be and how to fix it, let me know. Any help will be infinitely appreciated!
What phone and ROM are you using?
One thing you could try is to install systemless Xposed through Magisk. Then use MagiskHide to hide both root and Xposed from all Google apps and potential sources of conflict. If it's a software limitation/conflict, this may be a workaround.
Keep in mind that you will have to root your phone with Magisk rather than SuperSU or any other form of root.

Hey, thank you for your answer!
I am using a Sony Xperia M4 Aqua E2306, rom is 26.1.A.1.112 Latin America Generic. It is rooted and with TWRP installed accroding to this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/m4-aqua/general/root-e2306-m4-aqua-guide-t3270521
I also have a locked bootloader, and it cannot be unlocked, so unfortunately that shuts the door on most rooting options.
I never heard of Magisk before, but from what I'm seeing, it looks it TWRP is required to get root with Magisk, but some kind of root is already required on my phone in order to get TWRP. So I'm not sure how to go about this.
If your phone is already rooted, then you can download Magisk Manager application and have it installed it's necessary frameworks through the app itself. You won't be able to use Magisk's root, but you'll still be able to install systemless Xposed and hide it from other apps.
Edit: Ignore all of that actually, I just realized that magisk requires boot image modifications so you have to have an unlocked bootloader to use it.

FIY Magisk cannot hide Xposed...
I also facing these problem on my rooted Asus zenfone 2 (ze550ml 2gb ram version, Stock ROM, bootloader unlocked) and Asus Zenpad C 7 (p01y, stock rom, bootloader unlocked). The xposed firmware (version 86) is successfully install but can't install any apps from play store and using apk...
I really hope that dev team can solve it.....
Sorry for any grammatical mistakes....
The only way is to flash the firmware
I'm getting the same problem on my LG G4 with v88.2 of Xposed :/
I don't Know if this is too late, but I also have this problem. But there is a work around, go into the xposed installer and turn the switch off so its disabled on the next boot. rebot the device and exposed and its modules are disabled, allowing you to install apps from play store and downloaded .apk files... it would still be nice to install applications while its still on.

I had this issue on my LGG3. This happens when you have Lucky Patcher enabled in your xposed modules. Disabling it (Lucky Patcher) should solve the problem.

Pass SafetyNet with Xposed?

I've been reading several threads here and in other forums as well, and I still not sure if this is possible at all, or it depends on the Xposed modules, etc.
I'm planning to do a clean install of the RR ROM, 6.0.1, try to remove all traces of root, then flash magisk and see if I can pass SafetyNet.
Does a custom kernel interfieres with that?
And if I pass it... any possibility to use Xposed (being active) and pass SafetyNet? Or at least hide it for problematic apps, like Netflix, or Mario Run?
Thanks in advance.
No, Xposed and SafetyNet is a no-go for now.
If you have a device, which ROM has security patches older than November 2016, you may try to use suhide along with Magisk and its MagiskHide, but no guarantees.
The ROM I plan to use is from september, you mean with suhide maybe SafetyNet could pass with Xposed enabled?
Thanks!

With Xposed Safetynet gone.
But you can use no device check module to pass ctsProfile True. But you can't anything about basicintegrity.
the ctsProfile in important. This mean you can play super Mario run or use Netflix in your device. But because of the basicintegrity you can't download or update this app from play store. You can download from apkmirror site.
Netflix and super Mario run in my phone.

Let's see if I understood it correctly. Can I have custom ROM + Magisk + SuperSU + custom kernel + Xposed active and with this module I can use that kind of apps?
Thanks!

Yes. I have custom kernel on ViperU 1.7 custom Rom in HTC U11
but I think you can't use superSu with magisk. You must use one of them. Why you want superSu? Magisk has superuser
Just install Xposed and install no device check module in Xposed installer

I use an older Magisk that supports SuperSU. If I need newer Magisk for this to work, or if the module doesn't work with SuperSU, please let me know.
Thanks!
Best way really is root switch, requires reboot and disables xposed bit gets the job done.

I don't want to be disabling Xposed and rebooting everytime...

Great, thanks, for now I will try MagiskSU. Just flashed ROM, removed su and SN passed. But installed boeffla kernel and not anymore. Is it normal? Can I avoid that? Gonna flash Magisk 13.3 now and check.
Thanks for everything guys!
Never mind, got SN again. But after installing Xposed systemless 87 I get bootloop Any idea why? Or is it really a very long boot? I have no Xposed modules at the time, just trying to boot it.
EDIT
Thanks to liveboot, I can see a boot error: Xposed: Can't find file.
Any clues???
Try install classic. If you don’t want disable xposed for pass basicintegrity , no need to install system less. Systemless xposed not active in my phone and I installed classic.
What’s your device? Do you wipe delvik & cache?
I flashed systemless Xposed from recovery and that did the trick.
If disabled, I pass SN. With the No device check module I pass cts profile.
But, Netflix does not work with that configuration. Maybe that app has extra checks? Thanks.

What's do you mean extra configuration?
It's must work with pass ctsProfile. Just you can't update or download from play store.
Do you downloaded last version of Netflix for your device dpi and CPU architect from apkmirror?

With Xposed disabled, and SafetyNet passing at 100%, Netflix says that my device is not compatible. Even installed from Google Play.
BTW, Mario Run only works if Magisk Hide is enabled for it, I guess that's normal (with Xposed active this time)
Thanks for all the clarifications, now I have a better understanding of it all
I guess this is the cause?
https://www.reddit.com/r/netflix/comments/69l2fp/all_netflix_no_longer_available_to_android/
Can anyone confirm?
Thanks!

I don't know why Netflix not work for you. I have Netflix in my phone and using every day.
What's your phone Android build?
Netflix must work on your phone.
I have U11 and installed viperU magisk version custom rom. Android 7.1.1 and August patch.
Custom kernel and classic PurifyOS Xposed with so much modules like xprivacy, appsetting, hush sms, no device check , location report enabler, chromepie, native clipboard, and ...

I have Resurrection Remix 6.0.1 from september 2016.
Is there a log or something where I can check what is cause Netflix refusal to work?
Do you have Magisk Hide enabled for those apps?
Thanks.
EDIT
Actually, Mario Run is now giving me the code error screen
CTS profile is passing.
EDIT 2
Additional info:
Super Mario Run works fine only for two levels, then is error 804-5100.
Netflix above version 4 (5 and later) says it is incompatible with my device.
- Both appear on Play Store.
- Store version is 8.1.73, installed this afternoon and cleared data.
- Bootloader is unlocked (maybe I should try to relock?).
- I can't find device verification in Play Store settings (is not there), even tried this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/help/module-fix-google-play-certification-t3602629
with no luck.
- Xposed installed with modules but disabled (from Xposed Manager).
- SafetyNet passing 100%.
- Tried both and without Magisk Hide enabled for the apps.
- Disabled superuser and enabled Magisk Core only.
- Build version: 6.0.1_r66 - MOB31E (my signature is outdated).
- I had Lucky Patcher but I uninstalled it.
- Also tried this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/xiaomi-safetynet-fix-t3600431
Nothing works.
Maybe some other app(s) is being detected by Netflix? Maybe a log would help? Or a full bug report?
Is it the ROM version? Maybe is device specific? Should I open a thread on the device's forum? Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance!
EDIT 3
Android Pay seems to work. I don't have NFC, I only got to the add card screen, but I guess that's enough.
EDIT 4
Kernel is Boeffla.
you need root switch
