I took apart a cellebrite touch I have laying around. I used to use it for data transfers between a few phones, until I got curious and started taking it apart. I can put it back together but the thing is it obviously won't work without the micro SD card in place. What is the problem? I've looked and looked and can't figure out where the micro SD card goes. I've googled info on this machine and there's nothing.
It has an Intel atom z510 1.10ghz processor, 1gb of ram, sandisk 16gb micro SD (which I don't know where it goes), running on an ancient Windows xp.
I found the SD card lose towards the bottom middle area but that's as far as I got.
I know it might sound dumb, and it probably is but I couldn't find any info anywhere else, probably because no one is so dumb. I know this is a mobile pc, and this forum is more mobile oriented, but since the purpose of the device is dealing with mobile devices, maybe someone might have an idea.

Just picked up my Streak 7 on Sat... Loaded HC on it, and it screams!!
I am interested on finding internal pictures of this device, does anyone know where I can find them?
More specifically, is it possible to purchase the wireless modem on line and slide it into a port like other devices? Example- on my Gtab, they still have a point on the motherboard to mount the modem..
The internal pictures would help me asses the workload needed to do such a project.

I watched a video of the dis-Assembly of this device and it seems like the
cells were thrown into a bag with tape... They don't look like the regular run of the mill batteries.

On the VS Gtab, you can just drop the 3G dock in, and your SIM card just works...
Not sure if it is the case here... Anyone successfully disassemble the WiFi only variant?
From the build, I would think it's the exact same thing minus the HSPA+ card and the blocked SIM slot.

I tried to insert my sim card with micro adapter into phone but I inserted sim the wrong way round. One pin in now broken and phone doent detect sim card any more. Sony saying they wont repair it due to user error so no warranty repair. They said that it needs the whole new mother board for 300USD but I think that it just needs new sim card reader. Now i have found a replacement sim card reader and ordered it form ebay. I also found http://www.xperiablog.net/2013/09/15/xperia-z1-disassembly-guide/
I was just wondering however if anyone had attempted it, from the tear down guide it looks like the sim reader is attached to the logic board so a replacement reader wouldnt exactly help.
Anyone with any advise would be greatly received

I'm for sure getting this thing tomorrow (when it's up for order online for T-Mobile) so I wanted to ask for an answer/opinion on the subject of storage.
I'm not sure whether I should get the 32gb or the 64gb. I want to know what the better idea would be: 32gb + cloud + OTG/USB vs the 64gb. I want the 64gb, but the extra $100 is a bit of a put off so I'm not sure yet. I'd like to have some opinions as well as others' choices?

I went with the 64 gig because it was the same price on ATT next as my 32 gig note 4 was last year.

I had a 32gb Note 3 with 64gb memory card, so I had to go for the 64gb one. Even though I know they, like Apple, are ripping us off for the extra bump, you will want to have enough on the device and not mess with external cards. Spend the money now to save hassles down the road.
Guys maybe I am the last one into the short bus, but when I put tape onto my SIM card it seemed to fix it then after a while the error came back. After it came back I put on another layer of tape and since then it has not come back. Well today I was with a friend and he never had the issue and we were about to sell his phone. When he pulled out his SIM card I remembered I had one exactly like that then Verizon forced me to get a new one because SIM cards break over time(my SIM card was fine).
I did some test and as you can see from the photos below the newer SIM cards are much thinner! This is why the tape was the fix it never had anything to do with Samsung. Also I think for those that actually had a faulty sim reader it may have been caused because of this, imagine always having a bad connection on that.
I know we all knew that the tape 'could' fix the errors but I finally feel like I got closure.
Also on the s8 his older SIM card could barely fit it was tight and mine slid right in.
