Le Eco le 2 x526 decryption - LeEco Le 2 Questions & Answers

How to remove device encryption in my x526? I don't remember when the hell i did that encryption, please help without it i can't even flash custom rom in it because twrp is also asking for password.
P.s: in fingerprint and password, under encrypt section it is saying that it is encrypted

Just the default factory reset(data, cache, dalvic cache) but it did clear my internal storage though not being able to mount it. :/

Wipe Data, seen in above screenshot, of course it deletes all your apps and data, but it's the only way.

Phone wipe with TWRP not possible - failed to mount /data - encryption problem?

Hi,
I've maybe bricked my phone. I've to enter the encryption key after reboot, but the phone tells me that I have to make a factory reset even the password is correct. I tried to wipe it with TWRP (twrp-3.0.2-0-nemo.img) but it failed because /data cannot be mounted.
How can I wipe the phone? Help please!

Cannot for the life of me decrypt data in twrp!?!?

NOTE*** I'm on 7.0 beta OOS***
Hi all, I have just unlocked the BL, installed twrp, and have been trying to flash SuperSU and no dm verity zips.
All I see is twrp asking for my password? I enter in the pw I have and everything's it says wrong pw..
I've wiped user data however this wipes the zip files from the phone which brings me back to square 1..
I've read numerous topics however none of them have a definitive answer as to what my next step should be..
I am fully booted into android now and looking for help to decrypt data in twrp so I can root..
Thanks everyone for any help in advance!
PS. This phone is super sexy!

Boot to whatever Android you have installed, set a 4 digit pin fit lockscreen. Then reboot to recovery and use that pin in twrp, it should work.

Still same thing. Password failed, please try again.
Would downgrading to marshmallow possibly help due to mm encrypting in a different fashion? I've read that N uses file based encryption...

Format the data to mount. Once you format the data you now can flash other ROM or enter in your actual system.

I think because your phone is encrypted. The way the decryption is to format it in twrp. Wipe > Format Data then type yes.
Backup all files before the data format.

Noo, you have to just do it once and if you want to flash Oreo ROMs, use Oreo twrp. You need not format the data then.
What I noticed is that its showing up as 0mb because the device is still encrypted. In order to fix this boot up into the OS. Set a screen lock PIN or password. Make sure you save it as requiring password on startup. Then bootup into TWRP and it should ask you for your password to decrypt. Put in the correct password and your files should show up again.
Note : Got this answer also from @morphixxp

Then, downgrade to 3.0 by cofface, wipe your phone, upgrade to redwolf or twrp 3.x.
Another one, what version of redwolf are you using? I suggest using the one that teamghost made. Its on their worldgiz.com
Site.

Its Safe. I used their redwolf recovery and its very smooth!
if you need the link, here's the link:

Note: if you use the 2gb ram download the 2gb ram version. if you use other than the 2gb ram version download the other one and flash it.

how to decrypt data

since both available TWRP images don't work on september patch, I tried to decrypt data using magisk and fastboot, I installed magisk with avb and force encryption turned off then I used fastboot format userdata, but it still says it's encrypted, is there any way to decrypt it?

Go on fastboot,
Fastboot -w
This will wipe everything on the phone, boot twrp, flash the zip then flash magisk
You will no longer be able to receive OTAs
