Adding app shortcuts to Windows desktop? - Remix OS Player

Is this possible? As in, launch an Android App that's installed within the Remix player, right from the Windows desktop?

Just checked a friends, who got his on the same day, and no media player? eek
Did you check the Start Menu? When a shortcut is activated on the Start Menu it is not shown on the Programs list. As far as I know by default [after setup] Phone, Messaging, Calendar, Windows Media and a couple more items are activated on the Start Menu.

Sync with Windows 7 Media Player

I have a desktop computer with Windows 7 Professional. I connect my Nexus One via USB and it shows up in Device Manager under Portable Devices. I open Windows Media Player, click the Sync tab, and my Nexus One shows up as a connected device. I can add playlists, songs, etc to the list and sync it to the phone.
On my laptop, running Windows 7 Home Ultimate, when I connect the N1 to it, it does not show up in Device Manager as a Portable Device. It shows up as a Disk Drive. So when I open Media Player, the Sync tab does not show it.
I tried downloading the 2.2 SDK with the USB r3 drivers. However, when I add the ADB drivers, it shows up as a HTC Dream. The only other option in there is Android ADB Interface. If I right click and update driver, it installs the HTC Dream drivers and puts the ! by it as it is not connected.
Why is it, that my desktop, which I've loaded 0 drivers, can see the N1 as a Portable Device to sync to media player, by my laptop cannot even with the USB r3 drivers?
Desktop is a Dell Optiplex 760 and laptop is a Sony Vaio VGN-FW285J.

[Q] Syncing with Windows Media Player

Hello all;
I have been using Windows Media Player to sync to the Captivate with limited results, regardless of which music player I have tried(stock, Poweramp, Winamp,Doubletwist, the Cube, etc.). I import a number of playlists by drag-and-drop to the sync pane, and all the files transfer, but the playlists do not appear anywhere. In short, has anyone found a player that will read Windows Playlist Files(WPL)?

Any Music Apps That Let You Pick By Folder?

Are there any music apps out there that let you pick by folder for your mp3s?
I love the pick by folder feature in the desktop version of WinAmp but have tried serveral apps for Android and none of them have the folder feature, not even our WinAmp version.
PowerAMP lets you view your music by folders...
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA Premium App
