INSTRUCTUIONS:
1. Download and install Odin on your PC.
2. Once you have Odin installed, download the proper .tar file for your device from the download link above.

4. Power off your device. Turn on your device using the proper key combo to get into download mode and attach the device to your computer via a USB cable
5. Use the PDA tab or button to browse to and select the tar file that you downloaded and flash the device.
Note many devices will replace your custom recovery automatically during first boot. To prevent this, use Google to find the proper key combo to enter recovery. If you don't follow this step, you will have to repeat the install.
There is a bug After installing the custom recovery It cant mound Phons Extarnal SD Card

So you have to Reset your device using TWRP. Then It working Properly

Firmware flashing .zip extension

http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/development/list-pre-rooted-firmwares-6-oct-2015-t3218820
Above the link there is prerooted firmwares. I want to flash 6.0.1 firmware by using flashtool but when I choose flashmode, flashtool could not see the firmware. It is in zip format. I opened and extracted the fw but nothing changed. I changed the extension to .ftf but no change occured.
How can I install firmware by using the link above?
Can you help?
How to flash
Important: Make a backup before flashing!
Download and copy the pre-rooted firmware into the micro SDcard
Reboot your phone, boot into the recovery before the phone boot into Android OS (if you knew how to do it). If you using XZDualRecovery, press VOL DOWN to boot into TWRP or VOL UP to boot into CWM after your phone vibrate twice. I recommended TWRP!
Wipe /data, /dalvik-cache, and /cache (recommended)
Open "Install ZIP" and go to the location where you copied the firmware
Boot your phone. It will take 10 minutes to boot for the first time

trying to install TWRP

Hello guys
So I have a N910T3 with baseband N910T3UVS3EPK2. My phone has never been rooted or touched before. I would like to install TWRP so heres what I've done so far.
1.) Enable USB debugging, oem unlock
2.) Downloaded TWRP for note 4 tmobile
3.) Install ADB Drivers
4.) Downloaded ODIN and loaded it with TWRP img.
5.) It downloaded on my phone, and after saying "PASS", I restarted the phone.
6.) If I go to recovery, Stock recovery is still there... Why is that TWRP is not installed?
Thank you.

Go to odin options and uncheck auto reboot.
Flash twrp recovery in odin.
Once odin shows pass remove battery and insert again.
Press 3 buttons simontenesly ( volume up+home+power) until Samsung logo shows then let go all buttons.
You will boot into twrp for sure.
Reason why your twrp was not installed because if you dont uncheck auto reboot in odin options the system will rewrite stock recovery if your device reboot after flash twrp.
it worked. nice
Cannot find TWRP .tar or .md5 files for Odin
When I go to download TWRP for my N910T Galaxy Note 4 T-Mobile, running EQB1 firmware, I only see various TWRP versions that are .img files; none that are .tar or .md5 that ODIN wants. Example: twrp-3.0.2-0-tbltetmo.img
So where do I find an ODIN compatible version?
Thanks.

Odin flash twrp boot loop

I followed the steps in this guide attempting to flash a rom. https://forum.xda-developers.com/tm...lopment/rom-stock-debloated-deodexed-t3423387
I was able to flash the BL and modem no problem. I proceeded to flash twrp and have been stuck at boot since. I can only go back into DL mode. Read a few places that said to reinstall rom. How do i go about installing a rom via odin? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Okay. Here's what you do...
First, boot to DOWNLOAD MODE. Once in Download Mode, press the keys again like you are booting to Download Mode (VOLUME DOWN + HOME + POWER)
Watch the screen while holding the keys. When the screen goes blank, switch to the key combination for booting RECOVERY (VOLUME UP + HOME + POWER) and hold them until the TWRP screen appears. If the TWRP screen does not appear then we know TWRP didn't stick when you flashed it via Odin.
If the TWRP screen appears, release the keys and let it continue to boot to TWRP.
If TWRP does not boot, then I'd suggest flashing the stock firmware for your device. You can download the stock firmware for your device from www.sammobile.com or from www.updato.com
Sammobile.com is a very slow download unless you pay for a premium account. Updato is much faster. Make sure to select the correct region for your device before downloading the firmware.
Which version of Odin are you using? I've been using 3.12.3 and haven't had any problems at all with this version.
Once you habe downloaded the stock firmware, open Odin. Boot your device to Download Mode and then connect your USB cable. Make sure Odin shows you are connected.
Next, click the OPTIONS TAB in Odin and un-check
AUTO REBOOT. Then, select the AP TAB in Odin and navigate to the firmware file you have downloaded. Let Odin do its thing to verify the file and click START to begin the flash. Once the flash is complete, disconnect the USB Cable and press the key combination for booting to Download Mode again. Once the screen goes black, switch to the key combination for booting RECOVERY. Once in recovery you can select the reboot option to boot your device normally and start fresh from there and attempt to flash TWRP again.
Also, which Note 5 do you have?

Hey, thanks for your response. So I was able to get my System back to working. I had to downoad the stock firmware through sammobile. I ended up paying for the fast download (30days of service) Well ill keep updato in mind if this every happens again. Im on N920TUVU4EQE1 For the n920T since i had already flashed the modem and bootloader before i flashed twrp. I'm on Odin 3.12.3 as well.
"This device uses dm-verity!
This means that swiping to allow system modifications will prevent you from being able to boot if you are using the stock kernel. In order to bypass dm-verity's boot prevention, you will have to install a kernel that has dm-verity disabled in the fstab."
Apparently the kernel i was using wasnt allowing twrp to install. So now i have to figure out how to root my new stock firmware and install recover so i can flash a rom.

What you have to do is this...
Flash TWRP, swipe to allow system modifications and then flash the no_verity_opt_encrypt_5.1.zip available from
https://build.nethunter.com/android-tools/no-verity-opt-encrypt/
This zip will disable dm-verity and forced encryption in the fstab and allow you to boot normally.
Once this had been done you can flash the root zip of your choice and go to town with debloating, custom ROM's and custom kernels.

When i flashed TWRP i unchecked the Auto-Reboot option. did a key combo to get to twrp but it didnt ask me to swipe to allow system modification. So i went ahead and flashed no_verity_opt_encrypt_5.1.zip with success. Proceeded to flash SuperSU-v2.66 and it got stuck at -Creating paths. I rebooted to recovery and found this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/root-s6-nougat-supersu-t3570740
Coming from sickmade 6.0.1 and through all the struggles i am now at stock ROOTED firmware EQG3 andriod 7.0! I just had to take my time and search around a bit. You guys are all amazing. Hopefully if someone has this problem they will find this thread.

Glad it's working for you. Good job. Now you can make your Note 5 your own. I'm an S6 Edge Plus user. We use the exact same ROM as the Note 5. We just use a different kernel. Happy flashing. If you run into any issues don't hesitate to ask me or anyone else here at XDA. This is a great place to read and learn especially with your Note 5. If a problem has occurred before you can bet that someone has posted about it and you will find a solution.
the phone initially booted up normally. and i power off try to enter recovery mode but i got bootloop , is there any way to get into odin mode , recovery mode is broken ( i flashed recovery with odin it took 15 minutes so i click stop and it crashed ) my phone is sm m20

K3 Note bootlooping to TWRP only

I had Resurrection rom installed in my K3 note and needed to sell the phone. So performed a complete wipe of the internal storage and tried to install AICP rom later (TWRP), it shows flashed successfully, but whenever I am booting my phone, it always boots to recovery only. Downloaded the SP flash tool to go back to stock rom with stock firmware, but as soon as I plug my phone woth my laptop with the USB cable, (which is switched off at this moment) after clicking the download option in the SP Flash tool, it just again boots back to recovery and the stock firmware's download never happens because my phone has booted into recovery. So i guess no use of SP Flash tool too.
I am able to connect my phone to my laptop and can see my internal storage and i can transfer files too.
Any help,?
Current rom flashed via TWRP - AICP v4.2 and Gapps micro (arm 64, pico) (Still stuck in booloop to TWRP only )
I am having the same issue! I've selected to restore factory settings and bam, it boots only to TWRP, I've tried to flash it with new rr rom (09.2017) but it is without any improvement still TWRP.
I think I'll try to do things like I did when changing it from stock model.
My phone TWRP-looped many times. The solution is actually easy.
1. Reflash using SPFlashtool ONLY the stock recovery
2. boot into stock recovery
3. choose english > press reboot phone
4. phone will reboot into rom without problemos
5. reflash TWRP
cheers
or
1. Copy stock recovery.img into sdcard
2. In twrp, select Install and navigate to where you put stock recovery.img
3. Press install image. Then, Select recovery.img. Slide to install
4. boot into stock recovery
5. choose english > press reboot phone
6. phone will reboot into rom without problemos
7. reflash TWRP
DONE

I had twrp installed previously. But after installing lineage os 14.1(yuga) TWRP got replaced by some weird recovery. I've done it in this way, but it needs a pc, just ask a friend, it doesn't take much time.
1. install required fastboot drivers in pc.
2. boot the device into fastboot mode , pressing vol- down button and connect it to usb port of PC. the red led will turn into blue. It means the phone is in fastboot mode.
3. Open cmd in the directory where twrp-2.87+ is. boot temporarily in the recovery issuing command-
Code:
fastboot boot twrp-2.87.img
4. the phone will boot into twrp recovery.
5. Extract boot.img from your ROM's zip(lineage os in this case) and place it in internal storage
6. Place twrp-2.87[recovery] you want to install in internal storage as well
7. from recovery select install->install images
8. select boot.img and select *boot partition in the following screen.
9. similarly select recovery.img and select *recovery partition.
Follow the steps 8,9 sequentially otherwise it may cause problem.
Ok thank u. Your instructions helped me a lot. Thanks for sharing.
