Download this file and put on your phone and extract it*
https://mega.nz/#!SFkQza7K!C3RTZWyy5WrLdorzXPOP0ckYh573eP3vBj4HyKA6xfs
first take a copy from HwCallRecorder folder and paste it to following directions*
(if you didn't find any below directions make them)
/data/dataapp*
/system/app
/hw_init/cust/hw/**Your region code**/app/
For me it's like this
/hw_init/cust/hw/meafnaf/app/
then go to /system/build.prop and add these lines to the end of the file*
ro.config.hw_voicerecord=true
ro.config.callrecord.enabled=1
then go to this folder cust-hw-region-xml and copy all files to this direction*
/cust/hw/**your region**/xml
then go to this folder hw_oem-xml and copy all files to this direction*
/hw_oem/xml
apply merge replace if it asks*
then make a reboot*
Thanks to the real owner of the matter ...

Oi, a heads up, edit your links. You probably just copied them as text, and that copies the '...' in them as well, which makes them not go anywhere

Enable call recording on Android
Call Recording is one of the most used feature. Still most of the smart phone companies do not provide this feature. However, you can enable this feature by following a few steps. These steps are precisely described in the link given below;

How to get Sound working on HTC Pure from ATT

Hello guys/girls.....I finally got sound working on my HTC Pure.....here is what I did....
1. Download and install: XDANDROID.2.2.AOSP.29.7.10.RC2.1
2. Download and extract: XDANDROID.19.8.10.system.ext2. Replace this System.ext2 file with one in Step 1 folder.
3. download and extract: linux-msm.201008261332. Replace ZImage and Modules...files with one in Step 1 folder.
4. download and extract: initrd-latest. Rename this file to initrd and replace it with the one in Step 1 folder.
5. Put all the files in the root of your SD card as explained on this thread: [SOUND!][19/08/10] XDAndroid - Topaz [2.1/2.2 RC2.1]
6. Start your HTC Pure and ENJOY......
I would like to thank all who has helped to make this possible.....
Thank you
Has anyone tried this?
has this helped anyone?
please post if this instructions are helpful or not
I'll try it now.
Will this play my music back or only speakerphone?
It will play music. It plays on mine
I also have topa 210 (Pure). I have found a way to ge a ringtone, but you would have to do the procedure after reboot. Also i have not found a way to get notifications or alarms yet. Hope I don't have to
1. boot into Andoroid
2. Open media scanner (You should be able to play music from your sdcard now!)
3. Using Astro file manager, navigate to sdcard/media/audio/ringtones
4. Select a ringtone you want to use (you can play it first).
5. Hold the File down until menu comes up
6. Select music options
7. Select set as ringtone
8. Enjoy!
If you look to see if your ringtones are selectable, they wil NOT be there. It will still say Silent, but the ringtone will still work. Try it out.
This is for Astro, but it may work with other programs
Tried the OP's and the post above me
Neither of them got ringtones or notifications working for me

Did you use Astro with my suggestion, or another file manager? What happened? Did you try to call the phone? It will say "set ringtone" after you select the ringtone, but after that there is no notifactation that it is set. If you tried calling the phone it should ring.
Once I'm in Astro and I'm in the music options menu, both of the options are greyed out.
I click 'set as ringtone' but it's greyed out and doesn't seem to work
Thanks! It worked on my Topaz! Yay
For step 4, it should be:
Download initrd-latest. Rename this file to initrd and replace it with the one in Step 1 folder. (you don't have to extract it)
Thank you all for making the sound works on xdandroid!

Are the builds different?
I can verify that I got a very favorable result with sound. I did find a difference with the Balsat and Glemson builds of the zimage and linux-msm.20100830xxxx.tar.gz builds. The glemson file seems smalle size and worked fine. The Balsat file would not boot. I was using a Linux ext2 partiton but have have had better luck with the windown only.
Thanks itout it works. The incomecall can rings now.

It worked
Finally a tip that I both managed to understand AND solve my increasingly irritating no-sound-problem.

Some time during an incoming call when you answer the call there isn't any voice, on cancelling the call it didn't cancel and on top bar it keeps displaying a phone icon, click on same just return you back nothing else ..... Click on phone icon to set a new call display an 'unknown call' in progress which I'm not able to disconnect.
During this time if some one again called you up , the caller hears the ring on his set but in real you are not getting any call on your set.
Have to restart the phone to restore the services, after reboot phone icon on top bar removes and you are again able to receive the call.
This happens 2,3 times in 15 calls. First i thought it was an network error but signal strength was good at that time tried on another network face same issue... even reinstall the rom again after clearing cache and all still same issue. Please advise is there any solution?

Hi
I downloaded S2e and installed but it will not run on the Mini with CyanogenMod 10 ( nightly - 02/09/2012 ~ 5m GMT+3 ). Is it supposed to work with this ROM?
I have partitioned the SD card and I have an ext4 partition.
Sorry for being a pain, just cannot figure it out.
Many thanks

[DIY] Manually installing Xposed framework on 4.3 release + leak

I had trouble installing the Xposed framework on the 4.3 leak with the app, so I looked through the source code for it and installed it manually. This will be a guide to help anyone who wants to get the framework on 4.3 and the Xposed framework app will not install it.
This should work on any 4.3 device, such as our Nexus 4 or the GPE devices
EDIT: Still works on release 4.3 (JWR66V)
What you will need
1) The Xposed framework installer app (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401)
2) A root file explorer of your choice (Solid explorer was not working for me for some reason, so I used ES File Explorer)
3) Root (4.3 root by Chainfire floating around the forums)
4) BusyBox (If you have root, you probably already have it, if not https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=stericson.busybox)
*Optional* If your file explorer does not show you any numbers when setting permissions (ES does not), google "CHMOD calculator"
Steps
1) Download the Xposed installer on your phone and install it
2) Navigate to the directory you downloaded the Xposed installer to in your file explorer
3) Rename the installer from "XposedInstaller_x.x.x.apk" to "XposedInstaller_x.x.x.zip"
4) Open the file you renamed, and it should open like any other zip file. Navigate to /assets/armv7-a
5) Copy app_process_xposed_sdk17 to internal memory
6) Open the file again, navigate to /assets/
7) Copy XposedBridge.jar to internal memory
8) Close the .zip, rename .zip back to .apk, we are done pulling files from the app now
9) Go to your internal memory and rename "app_process_xposed_sdk17" to "app_process"
10) Mount /system as read/write if your file explorer does not automatically do so (ES does not do it automatically, Solid Explorer does)
11) Navigate to root, then /system/bin/
12) Rename "app_process" to "app_process.orig"
13) Copy app_process from your internal memory, and paste it in /system/bin/ (So that it replaces the file you just renamed)
14) Long press app_process, click on properties, and change the file permissions to 755 (This is where the CHMOD calculator comes in handy)
15) Change the file Owner and Group of app_process to "root" and "shell" respectively (Also in properties)
16) Go to /data/ and make a folder called xposed
17) Long press the folder, hit properties and set the permissions for the folder to 755
18) While in properties, set the Owner and Group of the folder to "root" and "shell" respectively
19) Go back to where you copied XposedBridge.jar in step 7 and copy it to /data/xposed/
20) Long press it, click on properties, then set the permissions to 644
21) Stay in properties and set Owner and Group to "root" and "shell" respectively
22) Open the installer app, then open Terminal Emulator
23) Type in
Code:
ps
I recommend holding the phone sideways for this
24) Look for de.robv.android.xposed.installer on the right side. Once you find it, write down the first 6 characters of that line (Should be something like u0_a[number][number]) If it doesn't look like that, check the line directly above.
We will call this "$6char"
25) Open the file explorer again, and go to /data/xposed/
26) Make 2 files, name one
Code:
modules.list
and the other
Code:
modules.whitelist
27) Long press on modules.list, hit properties, set the permissions to 644, and change Owner and Group to "$6char" and "shell" respectively
28) Long press on modules.whitelist, hit properties, set the permissions to 644, and change Owner and Group to "$6char" and "shell" respectively
29) Reboot
30) Open the Xposed installer and check if it sees the install. If so, it should be working. Done!
Subscribing to the topic because I want to find out when the original framework gets modified to install properly on 4.3

Installed? Yes. Working? I can't say. Well, I can say that it isn't working the a Hack Connectivity 1.2 thing I use for tethering my tablet to my laptop. It does show that the framework is installed, but there may be more to be done.
Great work but this is still the SDK17 (JB4.2.2) version of things. Tungstwenty posted updated compiles for SDK18 (JB4.3) last Thursday with a link to a simpler manual install procedure:

Nice!
Working fine, although I didn't have to install it on the app, and if I tried, the same error would pop up, but it shows that app_process is 34 and XposedBridge.jar is 2.1.4, but no errors at all.
I've been a lurker on XDA for 3+ years now, but this post finally compelled me to register an account.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS. I thought I was going to have to go back to 4.2.2 or use the default icons. You saved my phone from being an antique/hideous.

I see some things wrong:
You don't have the .jar installed
If it complains about the whitelist file, try running:
Touch /data/closed/modules.whitelist
Then change the permissions to match what the instructions said (755 and root:root )

TWRP Bugged Folder

Hey All,
Having an weird issue with TWRP folder on my today gotten Moto X. I unlocked bootloader, installed TWRP, rooted etc. But when I try to make a new folder in the TWRP folder via my PC, I get this error, see attached.
Also when look at the TWRP folder inside ES File Explorer, I get the message "/sdcard/TWRP is not found". I tried fixing permission in TWRP aswell and deleted the folder and let TWRP create a new one, still same issue.
When I boot into TWRP and go advance > file explorer, I can just open the folder without any problem.
Also when I ADB shell into my sdcard and try to 'cd TWRP/' it says permission denied. Which makes me think there's a permission issue, but ls -l shows no wrong permissions at all.
Anyone know what this issue could be?
Thanks!
Hi... I'm having the same issue of urs... i think it is a twrp bug... hopefully they fix it soon...
If u want a temporary fix do the following as i did each time u do a backup thru twrp recovery:
download (root explorer) from play store and open it (its a paid app btw)
navigate to /data/media/0/
long press on twrp folder
click on (change owner)
change both Owner and Group from (0 - root) to (1023 - media_rw)
check on (Also set on all sub-folders and files)
hit OK
Now u will be able to access and make changes thru Windows....
(Thank me if it worked) :cyclops:

themes not working after rollback to MM

Hello,
I just rolled back from nougat to Marshmellow (B181).. But I noticed that some of the default apps of Huawei is missing and themes are not working.
I also tried wipe/ factory reset and install another custom rom (B152 which is oldest I can download) but it didn't work, either.
I have no idea about rooting etc. so whats the easiest solution for p9+ ?
1. Download hw_init.zip > https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24421527759882525
2. Unzip hw_init.zip
3. Copy folder hw_init to /data
4. Reboot
5. Apply themes
6. Enjoy
thank you for your answer. Before doing what you said, I was updating via emui from b152 to b180.
And it's corrected everything automaticly....
Thank you for your answer.

I too had this problem after rollback from VIE-L29 N (C605B354) to M (C636B202) . I was rooted and used root explorer to copy the files. The instructions I followed were similar to the above, but in addition, I had to set the permissions on the contents of /data/hw_init/system/themes to rw-r--r-- and place the theme I wanted to apply in that location. I am not able to successfully add any themes from the usual /HWThemes location, but If I copy the *.hwt file to /data/hw_init/system/themes it works.

this is my solution ( made by me ) after trying many solutions over this forum @ other forums
just
1- delete any folder for themes u made (as hw_init or themes in root folder or at any site )
2- make folder & name it ( HWTHemes ) in internal memory
3- download this folder & put it inside (HWTHemes )
4- go to themes app and chose ** Aqua theme ** & apply it
5- no need to change any permissions
this was try on huawei y 7 2017
