rollback to b190 and use firmware finder or hisuite to update ,only version with date 2017.03.22 is working.

Looks like HiVoice recognition speed, security patches & some fix for a camera error. Nothing too major.
This update increases HiVoice's voice recognition speed, and integrates Google security patches.
Otpimizations: Increases HiVoice's voice recognition speed. Integrates Google security patches for improved system security.
Fixes: Fixes an issue where error prompts occasionally displayed when Camera was opened while using OK Google.

Then I better wait for OTA. Everytime rollback to B190 to update sound weird to me.

I can update directly to B370 from B362 using dload method. Just download the update.zip package from the updated Huawei Firmware Finder (android version). Choose the one that has FullOTA marking (dated 22-03-2017). Then unzip the UPDATE.APP to the dload folder and do the usual 3 button method.
By the way, everything updated smoothly, including the android security patch level and kernel build version and date. But my version still stuck at B362! For everyone who have updated to B370 from B362, does your version still stuck at B362?

Dload method work from B363 to B370? But why you still stuck at B362?

Can you try to use 5ghz wifi on ur phone.. is it working? Mine after update to b362 it is not working

I am on 362 and havo no problems activating hot spot on 5 Ghz. I am just wondering whether the 370 version has any significant improvements.

Yes it works. The kernel build date and the security patch level is updated to 21 March 2017 and 1 March 2017, respectively. "Ok Emy" also seems to be more responsive, especially when the device is asleep. It's just that the version number displayed at "about phone" still stuck at VIE-L29C636B362.

On B370 and 5GHz tethering works properly in 802.11ac mode. Not sure about 802.11n. Maybe they disabled the 5GHz 802.11n on B362 and beyond?

I managed to update C432 to B370, same thing new security patch and kernel but still displays B360

I used service menu, it turned out I had to do a second install with the update_data_hw.... package instead of the update-package. Now it's B370.
I wish I could install them both at once, don't know the procedure for that if possible.

Thanks, i did it this way too and it worked.

Could You please link files used ? Cause i tried several files and also followed this guide http://www.stechguide.com/download-huawei-p9-plus-nougat-firmware but no luck

Firmware finder offers two large update files for C432B370, I used the one dated March 21st. Apparently in the guide linked above they use the one from April 13th. Can anybody explain the difference between these two?

There are some fixes stated in the changelog for 0413 which aren't mentioned in the changelog for 0321, so possibly in essence it's a patch for 0321 ... I will try to update to it later.

Thank You
Finally i got It
Download manually from FF 21.03 firmware and also update_data_full_hw_eu
Installed 21.03 firmware i got 360 but with kernel and security patch updated
Rebooted and installed update_data_full_hw_eu and i got b370
Maybe later i Will try 13.04 firmware
Thank You again

When trying to install the update.zip from April 13th it instantly fails and then the device reboots. Tried same method as with the march files. Don't really get why one works and the other one doesn't

Update to a higher version

I have B106, how can i update to a higher version? Through firmware finder
I'm also on B106 and there is no OTA update available.. I think every newer firmware is still in Beta, so that's why there's no OTA update yet.

I managed to install b110 through firmware finder( the file that has 1.9Gb ), the procedure is: send firmare to proxy then change the wifi to localhost and proxy 8080, open Huawei updater, it will automaticly search for a new version then you'll have to search for the newst firmare, there's a little button in the right corner.

No TWRP here, all stock - I'm trying to install using Firmware Finder + proxy which worked well for the two parts needed for B160 to B370. It seems there's an additional check going on now giving the authentication error after a successful download and verification.

OK,
I never found firmware finder server.
I always use twrp.
I am currently, in c432, I will change oeminfo and test it.
Well, I installed it. Interesting, android security June 5 and kernel version June 5, 2017.
I was c432b380.
Downgrade MM (c432b160), I use the toolkit to change oeminfo to c440 and firmware c440b132.
Then, bootloader code, installs TWRP for MM, install update.zip and file datafull.zip, REBOOT.
everything is OK. works correctly.:good:

Try to remove data of updater application and check again. This solution works for me
Tried clearing data for System Update, same problem Is that what you meant by updater application?
---------- Post added at 09:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:31 PM ----------
If I put the phone into airplane mode the updater complains it has no internet access to authenticate, then fails as before; it really does look like there's another stage to this now.
I suppose I could try a factory reset and redo the FF+proxy approach but I don't think that'll work. Revert to B160 and try going straight to B380? Sounds like too much of a risk for me!
Without capturing the network traffic (or decompiling the updater app perhaps) to find out what it's up to it doesn't look like I'm going to get beyond B370 until someone somewhere else decides I can
Yes, this is that application what I mean. It's strange that system update download 4GB of data - I've got same problem and cleaning data and sending full package from Firmware Finder via proxy fixed problem, system update download just ~300mb.

Did you go from B370 to B380? It seems that the updater in B370, for me at least, is phoning home for 'authentication' and being denied. If it's working for you from B370 then I wonder what it's using for the check... IMEI, IP address location lookup... hmm. I might try again via a VPN server in Poland.
Not exactly, I upgrade from B371 to B381.
C440? I've not seen odd numbers for the UK/EE firmware.
This is not important - on Your screenshot is a bug with a big update file and this is why You have error with authentication
Good point, it's double the size showing during a download
Still fails when the size is shown correctly and using a Polish VPN

Same thing happens to me :/
I can't go from b370 to b380...
Anyone knows what is the difference between b370 and b380 and are there valuable reasons to keep trying to update our just stick with the b370?
If nothing else I believe it has a more recent Android security patch level. It looks like either the MM updater doesn't do the authentication check which is failing, or it does but b380 hasn't been cleared wherever that check looks. The only way I can see to check the first is to roll back to MM and try going straight to b380. Otherwise we're waiting on the authentication being given to b380.

Yes just MM, bootloader, Chinese twrp.
Sorry, I do not know how to do otherwise.
Firmware finder server I never succeeded.

Unable to install B382 (for VIE-L29C636)

Straight to the point, has anyone successfully updated to B382?
I've tried via FirmwareFinder, it downloads successfully, but during install it says Unauthorised, removes files, and remains the same.
Trying via the dload/sdcard method, and it gives an error @ 5%, and then prompts to reboot the phone.
Have tried going from B190/202/362/370 but no luck each time. Tried with bootloader unlocked & locked, have since done a factory reset once on 370, and still no progress.
Will remain on B370 for now, B382 appears to only be a security patch, but it would be nice to have the peace of mind being on the latest (for Huawei anyway) patch.

I actually used Firmware Finder to update to B370. Although initially I was having issues getting to that as well, from B362 both via dload & FF.
Ended up rolling back to B190 (via dload), then using FF went to 362 > 370.
Here's the LINK to the update.zip anyway.

Check one of the other threads in here on how to update via FF, step by step.
You need to go back out and check for updates again. Full size is def not 5mb.
In order to update to B382 NOW, you need to unlock your bootloader and use TWRP to update it UNLESS you wait till it official launch.

Bootloader unlocked.
update.zip for B382 downloaded.
Is it as simple as flashing that zip in TWRP?
Anything else required? Anything to be aware of?
As mentioned above, I've only updated via dload & FF previously, was not aware of any other method/s.
Thanks
I didn't not tried since bit troublesome for me to backup all data etc. I rather wait for final release. You may try to google this firmware and TWRP method was highlighted. Anyway do it at your own risk.

b382 is still unofficial, if u insist on installing it try this method:

The firmware already approved by Huawei. Just use FF to update will do.

Update with FirmwareFinder

Maybe a dumb question: I'm currently on B360 (VTR-L09 8.0.0.360) and I see that in Firmware Finder the B365 is available and approved for my IMEI.
Is there any risk on installing theis trough FF instead of waiting for the OTA? (like risk on bootloop etc)
Will I still be able to have OTA updates in the future when updating trough FF or will I always have to maual update with FF afterwards?
Hello. It won't be a problem but if you want my advice go back to the previous stable build of nougat (B185 I believe), to start clean, through HiSuite using your PC, and the you'll receive automatically the latest B365 through ota. And always choose the option "download latest full package"

Connect your phone to your PC and download HiSuite. From there you can choose the option to rollback to a previous firmware. In this case nougat
it doesnt work mate, this option is no longer available

Why would you do that? I've updated from B360 to B365 with FF without any problems. So what's the advantage of going back to Nougat?

I read somewhere that FF breaks the ota and acting weird sometimes. So I rolled back to nougat, waited 2 3 days and Oreo update appeared normally.

FF doesn't break anything as it's just an intermediate between your phone and OTA server.
If you do everything according to instructions you will not have any troubles and normal OTA updates will be still available. I always update via FF using DNS method and it works like a charm.

Security Patch July 2020 / build 8.0.0.394

On firmware finder is a new EMUI update available, check:
https://pro-teammt.ru/en/online-firmware-database-ru/?firmware_model=WAS-&firmware_page=0
It's available for many variations of the device, however not for was-lx1a c432, which is the device I have at hand atm...
Of course Huawei support doesn't know anything!
Has someone with a fitting variation of the p10 lite received the update already by normal OTA?
I could flash another cust (c55) via HWOTA and everything was fine, except it showed the build as 8.0.0.46 (1HAM) instead of 8.0.0.393...
Hence I reverted via HiSuite to Nougat and updated all the way to 8.0.0.390 from 2019, where it stops for lx1a with cust c432 - which surprises me as I thought that the free EU version (dual/4GB) certainly had it's own build up and running, however no, doesn't look like it...
It should be possible to manually flash the updated partitions via fastboot individually or again use HWOTA again and ignore the wrong build number as THIS most likely will be the very last update for this 3+ years old device anyway.!
Not sure if anyone is still listening here anymore, didn't see any recent conversations here in 4 to 6 weeks I'm playing with this device :cyclops: which is of course kinda normal for aged phones like this one
Edit:
As suggested in this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10-lite/development/service-rom-b362-c432-upgrade-o-o-n-o-t3813946
My lx1a is in fact a l21a (c432) and firmware is already available, I'll check it out now, however it's still weird as firmware finder usually suggests the right firmware by searching for lx1a, never before I had to look up l21a...
Gonna report about success later on!
Edit2: when initializing the update via dailer it says the update is incompatibile, even though I setup the dload folder according to the guidelines (zip not update.app) and have the correct package L21A_EU - never gonna understand the way Huawei thinks with this...
Forced update doesn't work for same incompatibility reasons!
Edit3: just tried using update.app files instead of zips but no chance, still errors out.
Also tried firmware finder erecovery DNS method but this gives me a "none authorized update", like using the l21a package on the lx1a isn't supposed to work... I'm running out of ideas!
Last Edit:
Nothing worked so I unlocked the Bootloader to use HWOTA8 to update to package (full) L21AC432B394 and it perfectly worked...
Now finally I'm on 8.0.0.394 c432 with July 2020 security patch and little added functionality, kernel was compiled on 15th of July 2020 - 3+ years and a update has been released, that's actually a big surprise considering it's Huawei and a low level device!
Greetings Sam
what do you think of this update? battery life improved with this new kernel? or nothing has changed?

It didn't change anything obvious, same UI, same experience - Huawei today (assistant app) was added, however no one is forced to use it BUT the most important feature in this update for me is the the 1+ year of security patches, remember it's March 19 to July 20 - I mean it's still Oreo but at least up to date on a security level, system, vendor, kernel, pretty much all parts where updated and improved, it even feels little faster but this could also be because of the factory reset I did to flash the update (unlocked and locked the device in order to use HWOTA8)...
If you want details install firmware finder, search for WAS-L and check out the changelog of 8.0.0.394, maybe the link above provides a changelog, don't remember... There is a pretty long changelog, technically this is not only a security update but a functionality update, I just don't remember all aspects of it!
