Root for the P10 Lite is no Problem.
Flash this h++p://ul.to/ynrc6xm5 TWRP and this h++ps://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxWP2gF_0Bd_UmQ2Zm9ZRGxBTUE/view Supersu and you have Root. A stock Reckovery or Rom is a Problem.

MAnuela the links you posted bring me to this same thread!
How can you flash something without a recovery?

1-Unlock the Bootloader
2-Flash twrp using adb sideload

Just tried it with the link that Paulo87 updated. Seems to work, will install superSu and see how that goes

it has HiSilicon Kirin 658 processor not a snapdragon, so the root won't be evident

SuperSu seems to work ok (tested with terminal). But TitaniumBackup has problems restoring backups from another phone., however it restores data fine after the app is installed manually.

What's the difference between locked and unlocked bootloader?
You can do more stuff with an unlocked boot loader like rooting your device. Warranty will be void though that's why some prefer to lock it again before they take it to a service center
Thank you for tutorial. I have two questions. If I relock phone, will the warranty be valid? Will I be able to receive OTA updates with relocked bootloader?

1. If you rooted device- make full unroot! - I unrooted using superuser app "full unroot"
2. If you have TWRP remove it and reverse to original recovery!!! Done
3. Downgrade to C432B052 (Dual SIM / Europe) - Where can i download this old Version?
4. Install last original firmware via OTA update!!! (In my case is C432B170 (Europe)
5. Connect device on PC
Just found C432B052 in your blog - so next try now.

Working Root for ZE550KL/ZE551KL 1.16.40.763 / 1.17.40.1106 (not tested on ze551kl)

Hello all zenfone laser ze550kl/ze551kl lovers
As I posted yesterday, I have gain root access to new version .
In order to gain root access for this version, I unlock bootloader with official release of ze551kl unlock toolkit.
Since we have unlock bootloader, so we do not need to patch system file in order to gain root access.
xposed framework version78 patched released by @Shakalaka working well, xposed modules were not working properly in previous version.
Tested apps
Adaway
RootExplorer
Titanium backup
BusyBox
In order to gain root access
update your firmware to latest version,
http://www.asus.com/in/Phone/ZenFone-2-Laser-ZE550KL/HelpDesk_Download/
unlock your bootloader by using any official unlock bootloader
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-2-laser/general/ze600kl-official-bootloader-unlock-t3273263
Download attached file
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz46tV6s-sImeFMyVnB5aUlmbDg/view?usp=sharing
connect your phone as usual, run commands to get in fastboot mode
then use command
Code:
fastboot boot boot_200007.img
(as image file have name boot_20007).
let process complete & phone will restart automatically.
Now you have working root for this version.
working twrp may be find here

Since the boot loader is now unlocked, is there anyone working on a custom recovery for the device?

As after bootloader unlocked, we can use fastboot boot command.
Only thing we needed is search for similar working device with & port that for our device.

to apply new update you should completely unroot & flash stock boot, otherwise you may get error.
If you loss your root, then we may try again for that version.

Honor 5c/7 Lite Root on Android 7 / EMUI 5.0

Hello,
I'm trying to root my honor 5c/7 lite that is running android 7.0 and EMUI 5.0 on it and it runs very smooth , but when I flash TWRP 3.1.0.0, twrp never loads up, it's just stuck in "You device is booting now" when trying to enter recovery.
The method I use is the manual method via bootloader:
HTML:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
fastboot reboot
And yes my bootloader is obviously unlocked!
I did only have 20% battery left however, if that affects it at all?
Before I flashed Android 7.0 and EMUI 5.0 onto the device, I had no problem rooting it the same way with the same recovery.
UPDATE:
I'm now on android 6.0 / EMUI 4.1.2
I have flash TWRP 3.1.0.0 and rooted with superSu v2.79 SR3

In the rollback instructions u will find a seperate update.app and a full update.app. U need to first flash the seperate update.app by putting it in dload folder. After flashing that reboot then replace that dload folder with the full update in dload. Flash that. Then u will be on EMUI 4.
Ok, I have successfully downgraded my phone now. Is it now possible to root my phone then flash android 7 onto it?

You can do it that way (check for updates, of accept the update notification). It will detect you are rooted/custom recovery, and correctly download the "full update" as opposed to the partial patch update (which will bootloop the device). Then install the full update.
However, if you do it this way, you will lose TWRP (will be overwritten with stock recovery). Better to download the full update (you can get it from the Open Beta thread in "Guides") and flash with TWRP, then immediately (do not reboot after update) root with Magisk or SuperSU (which will prevent TWRP from being overwritten).

The information you are providing is incorrect, per my comments above.
Also not sure why you are talking about firmware and modem. The full update will include firmware and modem. Flashing firmware and modem by itself will not include the ROM, and probably cause problems.

You have to install the whole firmware update zip via twrp only.
OTA can't be installed if rooted. May be you have to unroot and for ota

You are correct, technically (flashing the "partial" OTA will bootloop the phone). However, the only way the "partial" OTA will ever get onto the device, is if you put it there yourself. The notification and/or settings update function will automatically download the "full" update if it detects TWRP on your device (see my post just above yours, for details).

Rooted 2.09 or 1.15 ?

Hi,
I am currently running the RM3 with the US version of the ROM which is 1.11.
The phone has unlocked bootloader and is rooted.
If I try to update it, it fails...
I tried to install a clean 1.11 so no more root.
I then updated the phone and it succeeded.
But I can't root the phone as I don't have the boot.img...
Anyone kknows where to donload the update or the full zip of the 1.15 US or the 2.09 EU ?
Regards.

Hi,
thanks a lot for this link.
It works. So I could flash 1.15 to my RM3.
But that comes with a cost : taking the boot.img out of that file, root it with Magisk manager and then flash it does not result in a rooted phone
So it seems with that update, Nubia forbids the rooting of the phone
Or did I do something wrong ?
It worked like a charm with 1.11...
Regards.

Hi,
Thanks for your answers.
I did flash that...
But the thing is : even though I have enabled USB debugging and allowed my computer, I can't flash easily.
I need to "sudo" fastboot flash...
Maybe that is the problem ?
I will retry now and let you know.

Updating and preserving root
Here's a tool which might help you, I've never used it but I'm curious to see if it works on the Red Magic 3 because I think that it'd really improve the experience.
Edit: um, the link didn't work but it's called FlashFire (made by the creater of CF-Autoroot and SuperSU Chainfire).
