Now that I have DPI control I no longer have a need to root.

O.K., but I would need root for adaway and titanium backup.

Nothing on my tablet yet.
But it will probably be like last time. It takes around a month before it reaches Denmark and other nordic countries.

Its only for sm-p580, at least for now

How do you install ...

How do you install without CP ( dont know where to find that file )?
can you help please?

I installed AP and BL only. I didn't apply the CSC or Home_CSC from the Korean download...

Did you flash it on the SM-P580 or T580?
I wonder if you can flash P580 firmware on the T580.

If you cannot wait for the release of US version, you can go around by switch to German version T580XXU2APL4, the same build as US version.
It takes 2 hours to download from sammobile. Here is the one I flashed

It takes only over 2 minutes to flash, then update software via wifi. The download is about 800MB, only about 5 minutes
Then finally I have Nougat for SM-T580. It's very easy to flash back when US version is available. Note: the German version is official firmware
so the status of the software is official. This procedure is not recommended to whoever not familiar with flashing firmware via Odin
Tablets sold in Europe or Asia are the same one as in US, firmware and software only be customized for certain region. So there is no differences if you flash firmware
from different region to your tablet. You just need to select English as your choice of language.

It works!!!!!!!!!!!

It doesn't matter where you are, Samsung servers only recognize a tablet by product code, country code and build number.
You live in Asia with a tablet's Germany firmware, it still be able to update newest firmware. I live in US and don't have any problem
to update, after the moment I checked for update, it downloaded immediately .
This is a Germany build, and it only checks available updates for that firmware based on country code XXU

You can try a Factory Reset to see any differences.
I have two Note Pros , one updated to the newest firmware but the other won't update with the message newest firmware already installed.
I don't know what is causing this problem of the same two tablets.

Someone know if we can just flash the firmware and not PDA part (OS) ?
In order to have an update firmware with a chevron NoDo
2 questions for advanced users :
- In this new firmware there isn't csc file. It's a problem ?
- Can we use phone and eboot files of this rom and PDA file of another rom ? with this methode we can have the lastest firmware with WP7 7004. But I don't know if it's possible.
Edit : same question than rvmax lol

I try on my phone and work. Took 2 min to flash no data loose.
The only problem is the firmware version of OS is not updated.

Yeh OS firmware is in PDA file. Maybe samsung fix some bug or add new feature in it. New files or registry settings for the manufacture part OS.
Ok, so I tested it, but only the firmware and not the ROM itself. Hardware, radio and bootloader have updated.
My firmware revision is still 2424.10.11.1 not 2424.11.3.1 as shown in the photo above. Bootloader and hardware versions have updated though.
Did I do something wrong? Any idea on how to flash the latest firmware revision?

You can't. You can update radio and boot version without change os version and loose Chevron.
But hardware version won't be updated.
Marcox92 - Go to samfirmware.com and all the tools are there.
Also found out the answer to my question. Use the csc file from the previous rom you flashed and it will update the firmware. Don't forget you have to update via zune to the latest version then.

I don't know as I couldn't be bothered with chevron as It's easier to just get an official unlock by setting up a edu email account - the guide is on here and it unlocks 3 phones.

This should be simple,
Only flash using the first two sections of the ROM (Phone and Eboot) and ignore the CSC and PDA part. Simple!!!

Besides, would you mind sharing your step by step method to flash this stock firmware? Really apologize to bother you with these questions. Thanks a lot for your kind assistance.

OK, sooooo, I'm new to Samsung and Kies and Odin.
Have everything down, got firmware on Odin, press start and nothing happens.
Except on my phone in download mode there a big yellow triangle with à '!' On it that says, do I want to flash a custom ROM press volume up, down to cancel.
That yellow triangle is a frightening thing... Looks like a biohazard warning! I canceled. Am I supposed to say yes and press volume up?
Does the phone explode and release a sinister purple haze?
Please advise.

I did upgrading from stock kitkat using odin v3.09 (dirty flash). Wifi and internet speed feel much faster. If we upgrade with dirty flash method, our existing language still continue and it is upgrading only the system firmware. Will see the battery performance.

I've got it too. For some reason the drop down menu has changed to an uglier shade of yellow green, the colour of frog excrement.. Otherwise don't really notice significant changes. Samsung has layered the ui so much that it just looks like.. Well Samsung. Not very evident it's lollipop tbh
If anyone is manually flashing the ROM using ODIN, check your CSC beforehand. There are two different regions of NZ that Samsung released the update for, which are TNZ and NZC. If you flash the wrong CSC version, your CSC will turn to an unknown state meaning that you won't be receiving OTA updates in the future. I have the Taiwan version (BRI) and I flashed the NZC version and now the CSC state is unknown. It's still Lollipop, but you will have to manually flash every updates released from this point forward.

It must be how Samsung programmed its CSC for the ROM. When the official ROM comes out for your region, you can restore using Kies 3 or Smart Switch. Then, you will get OTA updates as usual like you did before.

weird, I flashed NZC (formerly had BRI) and mine was still BRI. I did some benchmarking and I guess it was a little "dirty" and was getting really low results. So I just went into recovery wiped data and cache. Now my device claims to be NZC and works flawlessly. Best of luck

Unresponsive touchscreen after Lollipop
Hi there guys,
After updating my Galaxy Note 4 n910U to Lollipop via OTA, the touchscreen just became unresponsive. The update went on smoothly and my phone booted fine and it's on Lollipop now. I can navigate normally using the screen through the S-Pen but it just would not respond to touch. Very frustrating. New device, been waiting for this update and this happens. Please help.

You could try factory reset in recovery followed by a cache wipe and a repeat factory reset. Flash the NZC firmware again. After flashing again go to recovery and do a factory reset followed by a cache wipe and another factory reset. Boot and check if you are able to still see the csc in unknown status.
thx for the tip,
I'll probably wait for the HK version of Lollipop and then go back to the original csc

Wow what a strange phone indeed:
https://whatismyphone.com/vendors/docomo/galaxy-note-9-sc-01l
its a snapdragon. SO no idea if its anything like the n9600 or the american n960u
in both cases, i dont think you will be able to simply flash with odin any other csc firmware.
if you can root it(if it is like the n9600) then you could probably get the csc file on there manually. thats whay i do with my korean N960n , i put canadian carrier files on it manualy.
anyways good luck! (you'll be needing it..lol)

No, it doesn't work.
I've tried to flash US unbranded N960U1 (XAA) firmware on my SC-01L (Docomo) using modded/patched Odin and It will just fail.
However, I did manage to flash SCV40 (AU KDDI) firmware on my SC-01L (Docomo) without any issues. It's less bloatware compared to Docomo's Firmware maybe?
No issues with the modem, can make calls and SMS. APN auto-detected and able to use NFC.
Hope this helps!

No issues with the modem, can make calls and SMS. APN auto-detected and able to use NFC.
Hope this helps!

I don't think there's anymore security updates for Note 9... the phone is already 5 years old and obsolete.

I didn't try to flash TWRP at that time and I've sold the phone long time ago. As there's no custom roms available for Japan Snapdragon variant.

Convert Korean S10 to International

Hi,
I got a Samsung Galaxy S10 Exynos (SM-G973N), a Korean version. I am not in Korea and don't have Korean SIM so I can't use the phone (SIM card are not recognized).
I need some help to convert it to an international version, preferably an Android 11 version if possible. Current baseband is G973NKOU6FUF3.
Regards.
Hi, did you try to flash the firmware from your country/region? Just download the firmware with Frija if you are on Windows or samload if you are using Linux/Mac and flash with Odin. It's worth a try, cause the phone is basically the same of your country. Obviously since you are flashing a different region, you have to use CSC_OXM_XXXX and not the HOME_CSC_XXXXX. if it sounds confusing you can look at this topic here. Remember to use Smart Switch to backup all your files and apps.
Hi @Cobmaster, No I am actually worried about which firmware to download. The phone is originally from Korea. I don't want the Korean version, as it comes with apps and pre-loaded content in Korean. I would like a more global version. Can I use one from another country like the UK?
Thank you for your help. I used Frija to download the SKC and KOO firmwares.
Ps: For this model there are only Korean different Korean firmwares.
@koutei . I think you can safely download a UK or whatever you prefer, no problem at all.

It's weird. I need more info. Are you using a virtual machine? Which version of Windows? Are you using the stock cable?

I found a reply from a user "billa" on another thread while searching for a way to flash a Global USA Note10+ from an AT&T carrier Note 10+ (Which was successfully done). Below was his/her reply. (I edited the first paragraph and included the modded Odin sourced from a YouTube video.)
You will need to use modded/patched Odin that has the model-ID and SHA hash check disabled, therefore allowing you to flash an unbranded "U1" firmware onto a branded "U" phone and vice versa.
As of now this works on most US Qualcom (QC) models, but an increasing number of international Exynos (EX) models now include a new RMM security which prevents this kind of cross-flashing unless you first disable the RMM, by flashing an RMM-Disabler package through TWRP.
Hope this helps!
