Notification sounds - LG Watch Sport

Do we still not have the ability to play sounds on the watch when notifications come through?

Just got mine, noticed this too.

I don't see the option, which is discouraging.

Use 3rd app like "feel the wear"

Feel The Wear has a button to disable sound. Autor say that app can't know when the phone is in silence.

KitKat apps (Google Now) and Gear

Everytime i get a notification from Google Now, I get a notification on the gear. This is getting aggravating. I get a ton of notifications. I finally had to disable sports updates. Now i'm getting weather updates. All notifications are pointless because all you can do is use the gear to open up the application on the Note3 cause you can't see anything on the Gear.
Would be nicer if you could see everything on the Gear. Other wise I'm looking to disable, if i could.

Just go into the notification settings (on the settings screen, tap in the text area on the notifications item) and uncheck google.

Don't worry I had the same problem. Was super annoying lol. I wish that I could see more text on my watch too. That would be totally sweet.

ATN (All The Notifications) would give you this capability.
Tried that...

I installed it, but it doesn't give me ATN in the list in the notifications settings? Also, how do you get gear manager updates?

ATN is independent of itself from what has been relayed. I do see it in mine, but he has been updating constantly, so that could make a difference.
I am using version 1.0 and that has been just perfect for me so far.
This thread would have much of what your looking for.

[Q] Notification for every app

I wonder how or if there is an app that can separate the notification sound for each app like What'sapp will play a different sound from the messaging app?

Yes but as soon that I set one of whatsapp it set it for all of them , SMS email system, the same sound I set for Whatsapp.
oh. Whatsapp, messenger, hangouts all have different tones for me. Are you using a custom ROM or any other app you think may interfere with sounds? /

Now. At least you know that you don't need another app for what you are trying to do. :good:

You right. With Audiko, every time you set a notification for 1 app it change it to the main notification on the phone so the key is to go back and change it to something else then you get the ringtone in the list and you can reselect.
All of the above is correct but i use lightflow on most of my phones which manages all notifications individually

Notifications make no sound, even when selecting one in the settings menu.

I have been an android user for a long time, but this one is stumping me as there is no process or specific error. I have searched and haven't found anyone with a similar problem. Just got a Nexus 6 today and it will not make any notification sounds. The notification volume is all the way up and phone calls have a ringtone that works. What is really throwing me off is that when I am in the general settings or the settings for any other app, clicking on a notification sound has no response. I will be in settings and overlooking the list of potential default notification sounds and no matter which one I click there is no noise, as where with the ringtones they all will play me the sample.
If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it, I hate that something this simple has stumped me somehow.
Thank you.
this happens with my alarm sound in the settings. it just won't play it, even though its a google sound. but, when its needed, like when my alarm goes off, it sounds. and that's what is really important. so I ignore the fact that it doesn't play in settings anymore (it used to though).

If that were the case I could deal with it but it won't even make a sound when its supposed to.

On my N6 there were two issues with low sound.
Settings - Sound & Notifications
The media sound with headphone is safety thing, you need to allow more volume for headphones.
Second issue; low incall-volume was solved with Vcplus app.
Don't know more.
I dunno it seems like a issue with the phone or could it be android m? The notifications on any my 3rd party apps like Facebook messenger are so quiet when the screen is off its insane. When the screen is on their normal.

I am sorry for you. I read about low volume when using Lollipop. The current version MM works OK on my N6.
I am using a lite ROM of Danvdh. A debloated stock ROM.
Maybe this thread has more info for you.

Vibration as input/event

Hi guys! Is there a way to make the vibration of the phone (no UI changes or text notification, just vibration) an event/input? Thanks :cyclops:
Uhh....that sounds weird. Can you give a bit more information. What specific thing is causing your phone to vibrate in the first place that you want Tasker to respond to?

Pokemon go app When a pokemon appear, the phone vibrate. I would like to use it as an event to make my smartwatch notify it to me.

Ahah I know I know it may sounds stupid, but it's just a way of playing it without staying watching the screen all the time while walking. I thought to use tasker to do that but I can't find a way to use that vibration as an input, there're no other notifications.

Ahh.....OK. If that is the case, I dunno.... There is probably a real hacky way to do it with shell script and root or something....but nothing straight forward
Does it only vibrate, or is there a notification?

Hmm... I'm not sure if this would work, but have you tried notification listener from play store? It's a tasker plug in. It might be enough that the vibration came from the game to trigger...
you can try this app :
