After SD repartition with "sm partition disk mixed" both storages decreases - P8 Lite (2017) Discussion

Good day all
As you know, only about 6 GB free space with stock room from Huawei for P8 lite 2017
Whatsapp didn't like that!
Put a SD card 32GB UHS-I and made adoptable storage steps (adb power), to add 50% for system and remain 50% as external SD.
After that...
6 GB free internal memory (total 16)
6 GB free internal SD
16 GB free external SD
Strange, only 6 GB free as internal SD (?), not 16 as I expected
But the real problem is, if I download a video (i.e. 1GB), after that
5 GB free internal memory (total 16)
5 GB free internal SD
16 GB free external SD
I mean, seems that video is downloaded both internal memory and internal SD
Do you made partition tutorial to try to expand memory?

[Q] SGS Storages types summary?

RAM 512Mb but you only have aprox 326 Mb for yourself, the rest are used by the OS and System Services.
Internal SD, can come in 8GB models or 16GB models
External SD, is whatever SDHC micro SD card you want to insert into it, supports up to 32GB micro SD cards
the Internal SD is split in 2 GB for System OS Apps, and whatever is left over is yours to use.
the Internal SD is aprox a Class 4 SD card
Amd what about system types on internal sd? What is reason for so slow stock i/o? FS type? LagFix i choosed store data on same chip...

exactly because of that the internal SD is split into 2 active partitions, by having the swap file on another SD card, then it lessen the access time

Ok! But..... CFLagFix-1.70 moves files to internal SD, not external.
It was in internal, and became also internal. So what's the difference?
Ok, maybe another partition, but same storage! May by file system structure, heard about some journals??? or what else??

[Q] 2 x internal / 1x external storage (partition)

Hallo,
For a moth or so my Note runs on a Custom JB ROM.
and today i wanted to install the new TomTom app.
i requires me to download a additional 3.1 GB
but i says that theirs not enough memory available.
that's strange, i just put in a brand new 16gb SD card.
so i checked the storage info.
Internal 1,9GB
internal(second??) 11GB
SD-card 15GB
on default in installs apps on the fist Internal memory,
so if transferred i to SD.
BUT in transferred it to the Second internal memory instead of the SD-card.
so i checked the form and found out that i can change a file to mount de SD as internal,
but than i have 11GB of lost space on my phone,
is there a way to partition(combine/merge) the first en second Internal memory??
no
internal 1 is system
internal 2 is internal sd
and this is the same on GB/ICS too?? so should work..

Is it possible to hack internal memory

As you already know, Jena have 4 GB storage that divided into:
- 1 GB Android system
- 1 GB Internal Memory
- 2 GB SDCard (internal sdcard)
Is it possible to repartition this into scheme like this
- 2 GB Internal Memory, 1 GB SDCar,d or
- 3 GB Internal Memory with no partition for internal sdcard (use external sdcard as sdcard partition)
It's already possible with Galaxy Mini/Ace:

it is impossible to do so. You can only increase internal memory not the android system memory.

it is possible, internal memory can be repartitioned to your liking but it is a very dangerous task to do
and the example you gave is not what you want to achieve

available internal storage issue

This is odd. Trying to figure out why I'm running low on space, I go to the Storage section of Settings. Looking at the amount of storage by type, the system is counting storage on the sd card against internal storage. For instance, the system says there are 1.2GB of photos and videos. All of those files are on the sd card but they are counted in the internal stored storage setting. When I go to Settings/Storage/Internal Shared Storage/Photos & Videos, it says Google Photos is using 523 MB. In actuality 97.61 MB is the app in internal storage and 424 MB is data (photos) on the sd card. Same thing with Lightroom Mobile: it says it occupies 659 MB of internal storage, but in reality 133 MB is the app on internal storage and 546 MB of user data, which is definitely on the sd card. That means the 1.2GB on the sd card is counted against internal storage.
Any idea what's going on or how to fix it?

Is it possible to allocate more user storage form an sd card?

After buying a new sd card, I expected that I would have much more space for music and other files.
I inserted the card (64 GB) as adoptable storage, but I can only use around 9 GB of it.
Is there a way to allocate more sd card space to user storage, so I could use more of it? Is or is using it as portable storage the only option?
