Magisk v12 vs. KNOX Counter - Magisk

Hi community,
I have two Samsung devices with Samsung stock ROM:
Galaxy S5 (SM-G901F)
Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition WiFi (SM-P600)
Can I install Magisk on both devices from Magisk-Manager without flasging TWRP and without triggering KNOX?

You can install Magisk through the Manager if you're already rooted, otherwise you'll need a custom recovery. From what I've seen reported in this forum, I think it'll trip KNOX, but since I don't do Samsung I'm not sure.
I'd go with the assumption that it does until you can confirm otherwise. Check the Samsung forums...

Thanks. If I need root or a custom recovery KNOX ever will be 0x1.
So I think we can close this thread.

Need some help here..

I am bored with my tab s2 t710 csc xar kinda and want to do something new.
First I want to install magisk on my non rooted tab s2 Knox warranty void 0x0. So I installed magical manager from there can I install magisk??
Also rooting worth it and will the tab s2 get any more updates??
Plus what are the best custom roms available on tab s2 t710
You should first make a system backup via TWRP in case something goes south!
Also, what do you need root for?

Customizability of Samsung Tablets

I owned a Samsung Galaxy SIII phone. With one of the OTA updates, Samsung installed Knox and locked the bootloader. While I could still root the phone, this combination resulted in not being able to install a custom recovery or rom.
I'm looking into buying a Samsung tablet (Galaxy Tab A8 or S2), and have read that Samsung still has Knox. Do the current Samsung tablets have the same restrictions as far as custom roms and recovery?

Question samsung pass not work with root

hello there
plz i need help.. how i can hide root for samsung pass?
Once you've rooted your device, you won't be able to use Samsung Pass. I don't think Magisk can hide it.
yes i try to hide samsung pass but still not working ..
AFAIK Samsung Pass is linked to Knox which is inhibited once the bootloader was unlocked....
You've tripped Knox so Samsung Pass will never work again.
You dun goofed
Yep. The others have already said it. You've rooted your phone... Which requires you to unlock your bootloader.... Which permanently trips Knox and prevents a bunch of Samsung apps (Samsung Pass included) from ever working again on that device.
You're SOL if you happen to need Samsung Pass and should've read through one of the three hundred threads on this forum section that have already mentioned this in the past few weeks lol.

Question Samsung Health Knox Problem

There is no root on my phone, but knox has been triggered before, does anyone have any thoughts on how I can use the current version of Samsung health on my non-rooted phone?

Click to collapse
I can only think installing the patched Samsung Health app which you can find here:
SamsungAppsPatcher - Adil Hanney
Samsung Apps Patcher for Samsung phones with custom ROMs.
adil.hanney.org
But the owner of this website no longer has a Samsung phone and I assume its already outdated. Other than that, no, I don't think you'll be able to get it fixed without root.
