I have one of the Ringke. It is actually Ringke Fusion. ? I need to tell it is OK but not so good as my other R. Fusion Cases (LG G4, S7 Edge)

You give us a good choise here but as much as I can see no pull bag
That was in the first place the first kind of cases as much I remember and
later came the flip cases and other bags for phones...
I usually use for case always a bit bigger pull bag.. couse I always put the phone in a siple transparent case and then again in the
pull bag ( pouch bag ) and of course the screen protect is also on my phones...
So big securty for me.. but sometimes I just go and put everything of the phone just to
get the feeling for the phone.. couse we all trade the feeling how the phone feels in the hand ''naked'' for some
kind of cases and other stuff..

I also have the Rinke Fusion, and it does feel very sturdy and snug. Maybe just not the most pretty, but it will offer good protection, especially when the sides are quite a bit above the screen.

I've sent back my H8P. So have one case used, ok condition (used for 2 weeks) giving away and post free to the first sending me a PM. Cheers

I really needed mobile banking. And Barclays in the UK doesn't work on some Nougat device and so on the H8P. And I wasn't really satisfied with the camera for a £475 phone. I will miss the features tho.

it looks nice and simple. for the front part, does it have a "lip" protruding out a bit -- i mean, when you place the phone screen down, it will be slightly higher up so the screen don't get scratched... sorry, don't know how to explain it.
but sadly, no transparent/ clear colour... i prefer that to show off the honor8pro's design...

It is pretty snugg with the glass, maybe half a mm petruding lip, wouldn't call it a lip. I actually like it, this way then a lip, though I am a cautious guy and appreciate protection when it comes to phones, rarely drop em etc. and this just highlights the thin profile of this beauty more then most cases.

i think this one is the best , it features tough TPU Bumper, with tough PC back , i can save your device from fall,

Targus Vuscape Case

It's made for the Kindle Fire, but it fits the N7 just fine. It doesn't fully close. What I mean is it doesn't clasp the side since the tablet is skinnier then the Kindle Fire. But it does the job until something better comes out. I got it for $15 at Marshall's

It looks exactly like the yoomee case for the kindle, and they say that it also fits perfectly for the nexus 7. That case though is only 5 dollars with free 2 day shipping with Amazon Prime.
That case is branded by several (hundreds?) companies. Good design. I've been using one on a Galaxy tab 10.1 for six months. Good slim protection and holds it well.If anyone is wondering: don't get one of those cases that covers the bezel. You might not like bezel, but you'll hate those cases.

Very first post, new to the Android and tablet scene. I had my heart set on a case that covers the bezel. Can you elaborate on your negative experience with these cases? Your insight may help me consider other types of case/cover. Thank you.

From my experience, cases that cover the bezel can be really tight. So tight that it effects your ability to use the touch screen and can distort colors due to the pressure.
Clips only for me forever.

A few issues:
1 - thicker and heavier than other cases
2 - pain in the ass to put the tablet into and remove
3 - covers the edges of the screen from some viewing angles
4 - different light quality on the edges versus the center
5 - (this is the most important) affects your ability to interact with the touchscreen for things on the edges or for certain swipe gestures. With the nexus this will be particularly important because it has a tiny bezel on the sides.
I just ordered one of these, $5.99 and free 2 day shipping with Prime.
Looks nice. Thanks for sharing.
Picked this up last night. Looks and feels nice. Only down side is that I find it hard(er) to hit the power, and vol buttons. The back also does not have holes for the speaker but I can still hear sounds just fine.

QUOTE=janedoesmith;29056481]Looks like nova launcher.[/QUOTE]
Ah thanks
I am actually picking up this one until more premium cases come out:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008IEGS9W/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&smid=A29LLD0WGS56WE
I purchased the same case in red (I wanted black with black stitching) since it was 4.00 on Amazon with 2day free prime shipping. Mine isn't branded targus, but it is the same case but less than 1/3 the price, and without the white stitching I find so unappealing. It really is a nice case. I planned on buying this to hold me over till better cases come out, but I'm going to stick with it now.
Since this particular case is made for the fire:
No speaker cut outs, but if you have the case set in portrait stand mode, the speakers are exposed. Perfect for me. The clasp does close, you just have to bend the clasp inward. If you look in picture 5 or 6, you can see how far I bent the clasp in. It fits like a glove now.

Thanks. I see that it's a case for the Kindle Fire, though. I suppose it doesn't have the magnet for the smart wake/sleep function?

Has anyone tried this specific "smart cover" case?

I looked around for smart covers on ebay and found the cover below. It doesn't fold around like this case does and in general looks more stable judging by the pictures (they could be wrong though).
Have any of you tried it? I have not found a review of it yet but I figured it might be worth asking.

Yes I have this case, I tell you its a beautiful case to hold and look at. There are other colour variants available which I got the red one.
Its very sleek, doesn't add much weight or bulk to the device.
The sleep functions works brilliantly, and doesn't lock the device when you fold it over to hold like a book, which some do.
ONE DOWNSIDE!!!! - The stand is very hard to figure out (i have not yet figured how to fold it to make it stand up haha !)
Hope this helps answer your questions.
And I genuinly recommend this case as its ace ! (that rhymes weee)

Yeah the coloured variants have a lip that does go round the back, but its not noticeable and surely you want this to keep it nicely closed and secure?

I think it's noticeable, especially when I have that extra flap to fold back over when I'm using the N7 in my hand.
I want to keep it closed and secure, sure, when it's in a bag or something. But my N7 spends most of its time on my coffee table or bar; I'd love to have a slim case with just a flap over the screen to keep the dust out. That doesn't cost $30+ like the Poetics or Portenzos of the world.

That's a different case, with the wrap-around flap on the right side. I already have that one.
look, heres the deal, that case may look pretty but any case like that wont stay closed. for it to be closed, there would have to be magnets along the edges like the portfolio. any case maker that says the case will stay closed without magnets on the border is lying.

I have to admit, I never really liked these cases... but after seeing that YouTube review online, I'm curious enough to give it a shot.
I'm absolutely in love with this Speck case, but I do have a minor concern with it. I use my Nexus 7 frequently, very frequently, and not only that but I use it for work. I'm continually walking up and down the hall at work going from one problem to another, using my N7 along the way. As a result, I'm concerned I may wear out the clip on the Speck case quite a bit. This only became a thought when I realized the clipping mechanism is significantly easier now than it was when I bought it. Broken in? Maybe. Will it get even softer? Very possible. This case ensures that won't happen since the magnets of course don't have physical contact to wear like that. While the higher stand up position seems a bit easy to topple over, the other one with the N7 (one I'd likely prefer anyway) looks a bit better in terms of stability.
At any rate, ah, I bought one just now - we'll see what happens when it gets here.
Edit - for what it's worth the one I ordered did indeed have the magnetic flap that goes around back to ensure it stays shut. I'm not sure I'd consider one without...
Case arrived today, so far I like it, the cover lies flatter than the eBay case with the extra flap, and it feels slimmer. Only downside so far is that it sometimes puts the tablet to sleep when I fold it back. We'll see if it gets better over time. I'll try to take pictures when I have a chance.

maybe slip something to block the magnet on the back? not sure what can maybe help on that front, but maybe a little thickness might be enough.
Side note, anyone have this and the poetic slimline case? I got the first case they had for my uncle, but it's a bit difficult for him to open. I'd get him a portenzo like mine, but it might actually add more bulk than I'd want for him.

Reviews on the s3 version indicated it did drop signal just as any other aluminum case. It's nice but not worth the money. It is machined perfectly and does look good, probably the best looking case setup I've seen.

I used Draco for my S3, for me it's worth the price, paid around $65 that time, but it makes the phone bigger significantly, which fine with me for S3, but for Note2, I think it's too much.
Signal does drop a little bit.
wow the case is sexy, i don't think it makes the note looks that much bigger from the picture. but the price is too hight. i think i will pass
I've been waiting for this ever since I got my note 2

VITREO on, right? I assume Draco lip is high enough to lay screen down without temp. glass touching the surface? Since I'm not familiar with bumper cases, do they offer a good drop protection? I assume there is a padding inside to absorb the shock and isolate phone from hitting the metal bumper frame if dropped.
... never mind, saw your official review post and got my answers about the design
I was thinking I'm done with reviews of cases, but this kind of picked my curiosity again

Vitreo has enough of a border it doesn't touch the case. When laid flat, I think the Vitreo and bumper touch at the same contact point.
Tolerance looks very close. hard to tell. I slide it on the edge of a counter and it seems seamless. If anything the Vitreo sticks out a little further than the bumper.

"Otterbox Commuter" Mod with a Kickstand

Otterbox offers some of the best protection cases for devices. It rarely incorporates kickstands as part of the main casing. This shows you how I managed to splice in a thin kickstand from another casing. This saves you from carrying those stands so you can watch videos hands-free.
The "Otherbox Commuter" case you see here is an exact $5 replica done by a company called Swisstech in one of their kiosk stores here in Metro Manila. The original Otterbox Commuter cost $70 retail here.

The TPU case with the kick stand actually cost more at about $9!
You can exact the process with the original Commuter case if you want to do this.
This will give you peace of mind for accidental drops but giving you that kickstand function but still as thin.
Here's the video link of the finished case:

That's a lot of work for a single position kickstand. I just attached this kickstand to my case and I love it:

Nah, the point of the project was to really put the stand inside and not be just anything that I put on to the surface of the case. The 3 hours I put into this paid of so that it can still fit into my book hiding place for the Note II.

It must suck to live somewhere where you have to do so much to not get robbed.

I've been to the Philippines twice and love it. It's not that it's so dangerous that you will get robbed blindly down the street, it's that items of value are less common, so you could get swiped in the most inopportune times. In the US or other locations, it's more common to see expensive gadgets. There is a lot of poverty in the Philippines and in regions of the world like that, it's very common.
It doesn't suck because you grow up knowing that's the way things are there.
ANYWAY, back on topic. Is there any way to get a Swiss-Tech case online? Was looking and it seems there is no way to get them. I like the price and the difference in look from the "Otterbox".
I'm all for making mods where necessary, but a similar case with a stand already built in seems easier.
This one is $7. My wife and I have them in different colors. They're great.

There's none, as I mentioned. There are even different color variants of the silicone part of this like pink, blue, red, yellow and white.

Ya shipping cost sucks however I was able to get 3 for $13 including shipping with a coupon.
yeah, 4-5 bucks delivered isn't bad, but anything more is silly
Id just go for a otterbox defender case. Super tough case plus the clip on the holsters locks open if you want to become a stand.. on the down side this case does make it a bit bulky but still protects it extremely well. .

Yes, there are reasons why is choose the Commuter over the Defender. One thing is the difficulty of changing the battery and taking out the micro SD card. I'd not be using that holster that much either. Where would I store that? I'm trying hard to conceal the Note, not actually show it off on my waist.

Not saying you wanna show it off. I only use it because I work on construct ion sites and it offers superior protection ......

I can understand needing the Defender in a construction site. I'm an architect.
The reason for me is to conceal the Note II:

*Update 50% discount code* Rugged Case for Note 5, a beast, Otterbox and UAG together

i have used Otterbox cases for years for my iPhones and galaxy note3 and my iPad 2 and 3 tablets. They are the primary choice for me , actually it should be only choice . Put on an Otterbox defender case for your phone , that definitely will turn your phone into a rugged device that can take a beat , if you do not mind the extra weight and the bulky!! I frankly have been afraid that I was going to drop my phone and beak it . But Today we are going to have a review for Note 5 from the Southern — Little Rock Series Defender Case for Note 5 from Little Rock Arkansas .Their Ceo contacted me via twitter , and offer a few samples to try out . I have to say , this case is a besst , almost the same protection as otterbox ,but slimmer ;it looks like UAG , but have the extra front frame protection— a PC with a built-in Screen protector . (You need to peel 2 Seal Frame on the Screen protector before installation) The back cover is a clam shell polycarbonate shell combined with high quality PC .The inner pattern use a shockproof technology -so called bee hive suspension system, protects your phone from shock, vibration and scratches The ports are covered with flaps that are tight and designed to lock into place. They are designed to minimize the ingress of moisture or dust into the critical switches and ports. The phone front screen has a cover that covers all of it except the home button because of the fingerprint sensor. The edge of the case is high around the front of the phone and you can get the fingerprint sensor to work but because of the new higher angle of your finger's approach you may want to rememorize your finger prints. All of the controls are accessible and the dual cameras and flash are uncovered to allow you to still take good photos and videos. After several days use , It did protect my Note 5 from drops . It is a rugged style case , You should expect your phone gains some weight and thickness, but it is slimmer than Otterbox Defender . the case is durable as a beast. During the review , my little girl just slam this case several times against the wall as usual , seems like she is a very angry Titan try to destroy everything .But , as we all know , she needs some more energy to let me have a new iPhone 6s plus . The protection is paramount, and all other considerations—even inconveniences—are set aside. The Pros There are many pros. 1.In addition to the outer foam, there is an inner bee hive pattern that further cushions the back of the Phone 2.To me , the out side silicone is just like an armor , i feel like my phone just like a sodier in a battle . 3.Fully cover the front screen , it does protect the vulnerable and valuable touch screen .but will not affect any functions 4.Fully Access to all the ports , you can use all the function without take it out the case . 5. For 16 Dollars , is quite good price for me and my family .You will never know how much you need to pay after the marriage and Children, 6. The button works perfect , and it works with my wireless charger The Cons 1.It is not easy to take the phone out of the case , that might takes you serveal times until you get pissed off 2.This Case is a little bulky 3.The bottom silicone cover might get a little bit loose in the future , which i am worried about, in 1 years maybe Durable , easy to carry , bulky but rugged , lower price with full otter box function , i recommend it for everyone ,who wants to have full package protection

I too just ordered it, I will provide pictures and review.... Hoping for a nice packaging like the one in lifeproof
Great Case!
Instead of starting another thread with a review, just wanted to +1 the OP. This case is a great value at twice the price! The fit is on point, and it's the first time I have had a full cover case like this that I am keeping on my phone. It isn't nearly as bulky as the Otterbox, but offers every bit of the protection. Looks good, everything works great...I forget the whole thing is covered!

hey there , if you make a depth review with a lots photos in a new thread , i do not think it is a bad idea .
A honest , good review will give others some suggestion , it also good for the Note 5 accessories forum , right ?
do not forget put an amazon review , too (thanks)
My note 5 should show up tomorrow, I just ordered this case off of Amazon. The %50 code is still active. I am coming from a otterbox defender with the built in screen protector removed. As you can't remove the battery I dont see much reason to take the case off once I get it on. Thanks guys.
