[ROOT] Video stabilization - Huawei P9 Lite Guides, News, & Discussion

Use file explorer with root previlages.
1. Go to: /system/product/etc/prop/
2. Open local.prop
3. Find persist.hw_camera.video_sta=false and change to true
4. Camera app -> video -> setting and find stabilization

does this phone even have hardware stabilization?

Dunno. IMO it's working for fine shakes

With my version, VNS-L31 C432B370, this option was there from the beginning. I dont need to activate it with root.

Yeah, I can confirm that I have this on VNS-L31C02B329 as well. Perhaps this was added in Nougat?

Nope. I had this option in MM to.

[Q] Disable shutter sound O4X.

I want to buy Optimus 4x.
But I want to disable completely the shutter sound when taking photos. I found a thread here that can make it happen.
I just want to ask if it is necessary to root it first, Can I disable the camera shutter sound without rooting it?
And if it is necessary to root it, is it quite easy? Cause it took me 2 days+ to root my Sensation XE.
Thank you very much!
The Optimus 4X in some parts of Europe have a firmware version v10f that allows you to turn it off without root.
Rooting the 4X is quite easy though. Takes at most 15 minutes
Made possible by my sexy LG Optimus 4X HD (P880)

I just saw one in a shop, that was free to use it for a while.
But no shutter off button,(Greece, EU) it had 4 different sounds to chose from.
Can I do the camera shutter trick that is discussed on the Android developement section without rooting?
Or is it only possible by rooting first, then doing that trick?
Can someone confirm that?
It will be a total waist of time and money if this isn't possible...

Basicaly, you'll change the camera.apk for another one soo, I think you'll need root.
Yeah,
But root explorer works on any phone, rooted or not.
I can use RootExplorer without restrictions on my unrooted Xperia S, and I can rename *.apk files normally.
So why do I have to root it?
I am very confused...

Can you also rename those in /system/apk? Because for that you normally need root.

That exists in all versions... the difference is that in the modded app the Tone 4 is "silence"

I don't think soo... to be honest, as my phone restarts from the root, first thing I do is freeze/uninstall apps and change settings soo, when I go to the camera the one that I have is already the modded...
You can try, nothing to loose
What do I need to install the modded camera app?
Do I need to root and use RootExplorer, or do I need ALSO deodexed ROM etc?!

OK, phone need to be rooted.
My way:
Install "Root.Uninstaller.PRO.3.01" and "AntTek.Explorer.PRO.3.1.4", open Uninstaller Pro and select the camera, in options select "data directory", Antek will open in "com.lge.camera. Go one the up directory "data" and delete that folder (com.lge.camera). Hit the "back" button untill you close AntTek Explorer. RU will appear again, now choose "app directory", AntTek will open in "app" with the file "com.lge.camera-1.apk", delete it. Go back again untill AntTek closes and you'll still have RU open... choose uninstall.
Reboot the phone after uninstall, after that you can install the modded version and reboot again.
Looks complicated in words but you'll see that its not
The icon and all the rest will be like the stock camera, only the Tone 4 changes.
You can download 3rd party app like camera JB+ that has the option to disable the shutter sound.

Strange its working 100% but my device is not running marshmallow something similar happened during testing where libs stayed the same even after replacing them will try and delete before copying over new ones think it's something to do with the root binary.
But I will attach the libs to whoever wants to copy them manually while I get that sorted
Extract the zip copy the file to system/vendor/lib/ delete or rename the stock lib by adding .bak to the end of the file name then copy it over set permission to rw-r-r
Libmmcamera_imx377.zip working 60fps

Did you give the app SD card access ?
it stores the temp lib in sdcard/Libchanger/ I also just remembered the 6p vendor is another partition and not part of /system so try /vendor/lib/ path
It should work on all MM ROMs these lib stays pretty much the same
Works!! Been waiting for something like this since the launch of this phone! One question: is it possible to make this mod work on different camera apps (for example: google camera)?

Hmm weird but I can workaround it so freedcam outputs 720p at 240fps .
Or try copy stock lib then in Google Camera select 240fps exit copy back modded lib and try reopen Google camera see if it crashes .
Third possible option is to trick it into thinking 60fps is actually 120fps so when it looks for it no crash happens
Here is a log of the crash.
Also want to say that if I use the 5:4 lib Google camera does not crash but I don't have the 120/240 option

Right that lib was capped to 120fps but actually outputted at 240fps .
Attached lib with the same cap in freedcam select 720pHFR it will record at actual 240fps which you can slow down in post.
I do not understand how you want to explain a simple step by step. I try to follow the steps you teach. It has not been a resolution of 1080p 60fps.

Yes you can.
You need to be rooted on custom kernel. Go to root explorer > system > build.prop > open and edit .Go to bottom, add this line "persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1" without string
save, reboot.
Main stock camera works but doesn't see any changes.
But you can install Manual camera, FreeDcam for manual controls like shutter speed, ISO, etc.
If you are not rooted , you can still use FreeDcam to manually control over all parameter except you can't take raw images.
but i want to take raw images that's why i want to enable camera 2
This works on stock EUI only, on lineageos, all thirxd party app force closed for some reason.

You must "Root" your mobile , install custom kernel like quassam kernel or AndroModX kernel and follow above procedure and enjoy raw image photography.
You can use any of these app like manual camera , FreeDcam , ProShot , AZ camera etc ..
Note: you must uninstall previously install camera app and reinstall again.
It works for X620? (Le 2 MediaTek version)

Call recording is not present in EU ROM. But I'm pretty sure that it will be there as soon as custom stock ROM is out as I think it's simply a property to enable in some file (needs root).
In case you're still searching, there's a solution for rooted EU roms; I tested it successfully:

It doesn't have Google Dialer. And you can't install it unless you're rooted, because there is no Google Dialer Framework installed. If you are rooted, there is a magisk module that installs Google Dialer Framework, and after that you can install google dialer (but that doesn't have call recording).

I just followed the instructions. If you're rooted, just go to /system/etc/oppoRegionMarkFeatures/ in your file manager. You should see a bunch .xml files with country codes, which apparently turn on/off certain features, but for call recording they're probably not relevant. I copied com.oppo.region mark.EUEX.xml first somewhere safe and opened it with an editor. There's a line that says feature name="oppo.phone.nodisplayrecord". I deleted the line, saved and rebooted. This activates the hidden option. Then go to settings, search for "call recording". You should see "System Apps > Call > Call recording" Activate the option "record all calls" (or "record unknown numbers"), call some number. You should see a green "recording standby" icon in the call wait screen and text changes automatically once it starts recording. Recordings are listed in the "Recorder" app. Voila. Ping me later and I can post the screenshots of the settings screens.

I am using this https://nllapps.com/apps/acr/ and it works. It just has one bummer and that it doesn't save the number of the person you called. So, you have to assign it after a call.

But didn't you replaced the original one with the edited one?
I did it (with TWRP File Manager).
Did you only edited it, without replacing it?
What I did is:
1. Copy the EUEX XML to "internal memory".
2. Edit the copied file removing the whole line (from < to >) and without leaving the blank line.
3. Reboot to TWRP.
4. From TWRP File Manager copy the edited file to origin folder, overwriting the stock XML).
5. Reboot to OS.
As you can see in the screenshot, no more "nodisplayrecord" line and no blank line before "blacklist"line.

Yes. I browsed to the directory and edited the XML file directly using my file manager (I use X-plore but any rooted app should also do).
The copy I made was not for offline-editing purposes, it's a habitual backup just in case
Try editing the file directly. If it doesn't work, you might wanna check if the line is in the other XML files in the same folder. Maybe there is a country-specific XML file.
ps: I'm on 11_A.08, EU version.

1. Make sure your Magisk is updated
2. Install ScreenCam Screen Recorder from playstore
3. After installing you need to open the app. If you go down you'll find an option of ScreenCam Magisk Module under Misc. Click on it and it will take you the ScreenCam Magisk Module. Choose the stable folder, select the file and download the zip file.
4. Now Open Magisk Manager. On the top left corner of you find three horizontal lines click on that and select "modules". It will open and show all modules that have been installed in phone. On the bottom you'll find a yellow circle with a plus sign on it. Click on it and locate the zip file you downloaded.
(This will install the ScreenCam Systemizer module)
5. Select "Internal Audio (System app, R_Submix)" in ScreenCam Screen Recorder
6. Reboot the phone and you're ready to go.

PS : Hide your root from PUBG using Magisk Hide ( it crashes game otherwise )
