Anyone else have touchscreen problems? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions & Answers

The screen on the S8 is weird. Very often when sliding the finger it will touch random locations. Sliding right might cause a slide to the left. Sliding down might cause a single press in a random location. It happens a lot. And I have tested it with completely not touching the edges of the phone so it is literally just the one finger in a constant motion with no lifting at all during the touches. Anyone else have this? It's literally annoying enough to return the phone

I'm experiencing a screen issue too. Not exactly the same as yours, but an issue nonetheless. When installing an app via package installer, tapping "install" in portrait mode is no responsive. It's only when I rotate to landscape mode that the screen responds. Very frustrating.

Weird touchscreen issues anyone?

Do you guys happen to have weird touchscreen issues like once in a while using only one finger registers as a pinch or simply swiping up/down and then pausing causes a long tap? Or a long tap registering as a normal tap? And then if turning off the screen and then back on, this behaviour going away?
The only weird thing I get on my 7320T is that if I hover a finger over the screen, then it registers the finger (without actually touching).

Does the rotation seem rather sensitive to anyone else?

well most of the time i have rotation turned off but today i noticed when i had it turned on that it would switch into landscape mode rather easily when i was holding the phone upright if i were to tilt it the slightest bit to the right or left. does anyone else notice this
any fix for it? not too big of a deal but can be annoying at times

Does anyone else have an unresponsive touch screen?

I first noticed this on a running game where you have to hold down either the left or right side of the screen to move in that direction. It would usually register the first press, but not that I had held my finger down so I wasnt moving properly. I thought this was due to the game it's self rather than my phone.
I've just downloaded Naugh where you have to rotate the screen by touching either side of the phone, and again the same issue. It's really unresponsive - It will recognise the tap but not that i've held it, it will stop working. Occasionaly this will also happen when scrolling a page.
I did a quick google search and found that the Z1 had this issue, but havent found a fix.
Has anyone else experienced this? Or if not, any suggestions on figuring out whats wrong?
Edit: I recorded a video of exactly what I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UW2gCWpThWc
I don't know if my problem with my screen is related to yours, but i'm experiencing some problems as well.
On the picture i attached in this post is a picture taken of my screen with a black background.
In the middle of the screen there is a slight discolouring, and in this particular spot the touch screen is very unresponsive, i'm especially noticing this when playing candy crush, making it almost impossible to swap the two candies in this particular spot
Both of these sound a bit like my problem was at first, but mine quickly got worse (in hours) and then I found the hairline crack in the screen.
Bottom corner and not in a part of the screen that displays anything - just the 'glass' front at the bottom - but a third of the screen near the middle doesn't respond to touch.
It gradually got worse over a couple of hours until it stopped responding altogether.

Touchscreen sensitivity

Can someone try:
Download YAMTT (yet another multitouch test) app
Go to touch tester
Put one finger on the screen, then wiggle/move it slowly
On my unit when I do this, small movements are not tracked instantly. I need to move my finger a lot before the movement gets tracked. I notice this when playing FPS games like MC5, it's really hard to aim. Also when using the brightness slider, it's hard to make small adjustments.
Anyone else got this issue?
TIA!
Just downloaded.
Works fine on mine.
Got a bit problem with right side of the screen tho. Sometimes when I try to press "Send" button (eg. Messangers and different inputs with send button close to the edge) it doesn't recognize press and I have to press like twice/3 times.
Mine is perfectly fine
Here's a video of the issue:

OTA 3.2.6 seems to have fixed this issue. Awesome

Touchscreen Too sensitive?

On my device, the screen sometimes registers touches, even if I don't touch the screen, and just have my finger really close to it.
Has anyone else encountered this?
Is there a way to fix this?
