Can someone please send me a link to the correct Y cable to buy so i can downgrade and flash custom roms. I see all these tutorials and things but I see different Y cables. One has two female end and one male and I see another that has micro USB cables on them. I just don't want to buy the wrong thing. Thanks.

The easiest way is to make one... Buy 2 female USB to male USB cables. Connect them together so that there is 2 female ends and 1 male end.
1 female end is used to connect the SD card reader to the Y cable
The 2nd female end is used to connect the devices USB charging cable to the device and the Y cable
The male end is used to connect the Y cable to a power source, either the devices wall adapter or to a PC.
I made 2 Y cables and it only cost me like $4

The other Y cables that you see with 1 female end and 2 male ends require a female USB adapter, so it's easier and cheaper to use the above Y cable.
The USB cable that came with my 5X was damaged and now I'm looking for a replacement cable that is very similar to the original.
I've heard of a problem with USB Type-C to Type-A cables, where the phone pulls too much current and damages the device it's connected to. Do C-to-C cables have this same problem?
What cable that works with the original charger and creates no problems do you recommend? Thanks.
Tronsmarts USB C to USB C is good, I use it a lot

I've had a tough time trying to replace my original cable, which works the best for me, it's just longer than I need in my car.
The cable type for you depends on your car, as it's USB C on the AAW end, and USB A for MOST cars on the other end. Some cars might be USB C on the other end as they are more recent.
The big issue is if it's a high quality data cable, not just a charging cable.
I'm on the lookout for a 30cm or 1 foot cable, USB C - USB A.

There is no such thing. It's either 3.1 or 2.0, the ends can't be different. Either should work.
Just buy a quality cable. Anker and Monoprice are well respected.

Thank you very much for the answer, I was lucky and the second one I bought in aliexpress worked, I leave you the link in case someone has the same problem, with this I can charge the battery to 1000 and peak milliamps and use OTG at the same time. In Xiaomi Pocophone F1.

Does anyone else have experience with replacing the USB to audio adaptor with an aftermarket dongle?
My USB to 3.5 mm earphone adaptor no longer works. If I firmly push the little cable into the base of the USB part of the dongle, the phone will very, very momentarily recognise a headphone (I have tried several sets of ear phones).
I just bought this off Amazon, but the phone does not recognise the earphones at all:

This new dongle does work in a Mi 8 Lite though. Which makes me wonder if there is a difference in the technology.
