will it work for zip vulkan in our Markw redmi 4 prime? - Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, &

https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...-vulkan-api-nougat-redmi-note-4-mido-t3572230

I like to try this as well, waiting for answer. Thanks

I tested it just like on the other topic I got the cell phone identified as galaxy note 7, aida 64 said that the vulkan API was there but the system gave preference to OpenGL 3.2 causing the vulkan to be ignored

Is it really? I mean, the Exynos variant is 64 bit capable, is it not? I know Samsung never did anything with it's still a 64 bit chip

Being capable is one thing, Being disabled in boot-loader level is another. Yes the 5433 Can handle 64bit. However in Note 4s case. The bootloader is locked to 32bit, which means the kernel is locked to 32bit, which means its impossible to run 64bit libs on the OS. even if you somehow managed to source 5433 64Bit libs (which is impossible unless you are samsung)
Take another example. my other device the J530F (Galaxy J5 Pro) it has an exynos 7870 which is a 64Bit enabled chip, However the bootloader is Also 64bit capable (which means the kernel is 64bit which it is) so a device like that, it could be debatable that it could get 64bit if someone we source 7870 64bit libs. But Note 4s case, its just not possible. regardless of android version

Aaah, got it. Thanks for clearing that up
I guess even if it was possible, there's not much you would be able to actually do to take advantage of the 64 bits with just 3 GIGs of RAM, right?

Aside from RAM , the main benefit would be using 64bit apps, so Bixby voice/vision for example.

Well.....we might have a chance of getting Google Camera to work on the Note 4 if that's possible

Hello, sorry for late question. May I ask how you realized that it's a 32bit-only bootloader?
I am trying to mainline this device, and there is support for exynos5433 on the mainline kernel. However it is only in the arm64 folder, so if the bootloadfer is 32 only i don't think its possible to mainline. thanks!

We have a BIG idea!
Develop android 7.1.1 with all note8 (it means Samsung experience 8.5 and new kernel) features for galaxy Note4.
But we need developers, so if you are a developer and you want to help join us please.

I'm not a dev but i could help with testing.
I'm just a noob (910V) ,, but I am willing to be a beta tester....very much looking forward to this build...
Sounds good, if you need help, here I am, but Telegram its a better way to do discuss :fingers-crossed:
I'm not a dev but I have a note 4 Sprint and can be a tester or do other tasks. I'm in!
Can we use something other than WhatsApp? I 2nd the telegram notion.
Remember when XDA used to have Logic and common sense ?
Let's go over this one more time
You want to port Android 8.0 to Note 4. Are you talking about porting official TW Oreo from Note 8, or porting all TW features - proprietary, closed-source Samsung code - from TW to AOSP?

Good luck with Porting a 64Bit System to a 32Bit Device... Simply not possible. And ported 64Bit Sammy Features on 32Bit AOSP? Mhh... The Note 4 may be the last good Sammy Device, but we will never see newer Samsung Software on it as Marshmallow Ports or pure AOSP/Lineage. Correct Me if i'm wrong but i think that's it....
Lineage 14.x is running great,if the drivers are there why slouldnt run a N8port dousnt run?

Well generally speaking when you port a rom (Nougat , MM whatever the case maybe) from a 64bit device, you dont port it as 64bit obviously unless the arch is unlocked and ready for it, you port it as 32Bit, the only limitation in terms of Touchwiz is when a certin app has only 64bit libs (Bixby voice is a great example) so even if you run api 24 (nougat) you wont be able to use such apps, But firmware side you can port it without issues, All 64bit phones include a set of 32bit libs aswell. and in terms of snapdragon Note 4 , yes you will never see a nougat or higher ""TOUCHWIZ"" based rom, Exynos however is already running Nougat.

As we all know you cant run TouchWiz based applications on AOSP (SystemUI / Launcher and many more) due to the fact that they require SEM codes (Samsung experience mobile), If samsung had their system sources up then you would have been able to, But just converting LOS 14 or AOSP to TouchWiz is just not gonna happen

because will never work since sammy needs his own android runtime etc etc for boot because it have methods etc needed from the framework etc. try to install the n8 launcher on lineage and you see what happens. it give fc. even after you add the missing method it will again fc and even when you add all missing methods that launcher needs in frameworks it will still fc because methods in the main libs are missing. and using sammy libs on lineage one is impossible since after some libs replace it will give a nice blackscreen

I think it is possible to port Oreo to the Note 4, but not TW version of Oreo (in other words, include all Note 8 features in an Oreo port)
It will most likely be ported as Lineage or RR without the extra Sammy features, idk.

One UI GCam problem

I recently biught a brand new Galaxy Note 9 and it came with One UI installed. I was very exited to try the GCam apk downloadable form this site but it kept crashing. I tried installing it onto my father's Pocophone and worked perfectly. I see that this is not a common problem but I think it's caused by the new One UI on top of the new android 9.0
Are the developers aware of it? Is there a fix to it?
I love Google's HDR+ and image processing too much to give it up.

It's Exynos. I made sure to download the latest version for this CPU but it still didn't work. The model of my note 9 is SM-N960F

64 bit OS for SM T715?

Hello to all,
For t715 with Exynos processor, it is a 64 bit ROM on XDA?
I don't find any thread with...
Anyone know about this?
I appreciate any feedback.
Hello,
While the Exynos processor is compatible with 64bit instructions, Samsung never enabled it from the kernel. No device with this processor was ever released with a 64bit version of the kernel, thus, all custom ROMs are forced to use what's currently available: 32bit ARM instructions.
Since the processor first got used inside the Galaxy Note 4 (which was launched on Android 4.4, before Android supported 64bit instructions) Samsung had to use a 32bit kernel. It was not worth the extra effort in rewriting the entire kernel from the ground up just to make it compatbile with 64bit instructions. And now here we are, 6 years later.
Hope that cleared up any question you might have had left. Have a nice day!

this phone has a 32-bit vendor means nothing 64-bit won't work on it. Unless xiaomi will publish 64-bit vendor or make the MIUI 12.5 update 64-bit but i don't think they will.

I have good news for you there is a 64 bit ROM compatible with the redmi 9C it is CR-DROID under Android 11 the disadvantage is that to flash this rom you must already be under MIUI 12.0.10 . there is also a problem with the network which is fixed by installing a magisk module (hotspot) and there is low sound during calls. And it takes the NikGapps.I will make a post for the tutorial

It's downright annoying running a 32bit ROM on a v8-a chip
