OEM skin/software - LeEco Le 2 Real Life Review

Personally, I don't like it.

Hated notifications
The most screwed up part of EUI was the notification drawer. I switched to Lineage OS and had no words to describe how satisfied I was with the stock notification drawer.

Have you tried debloted stock-based ROMS like Slim EUI, Small EUI etc? Which features do custom Android 7, 8, or 9 have that are indispensable for you and are they worth the relatively high instability in custom ROMS not based on EUI?
Sent from my Ulefone Vienna using XDA Labs

OEM rom is EUI which was good but now there is no company so no update and support. So thats why most of the people have been moved to Custom Roms.

eui is really uncomfortable to use. I couldn't even manage it. Had to flash custom rom.

worst phone ever build , last for two weeks after i bought , this phone have auto lock base band ans imei or stooped updates ,if you try to install other Rom or even Recovery , you wouldn't be able to recover your Leeco , this is why it is one other Chinese garbish build as all China Build are , why , well they hack all programs that are included in there phones , and don't pay the developer builders, it is simply stolen , not like the Japan builds , very good builds , the best ever even , china use other builds to put in to there phones , as Qualcomm , Sony cameras ,etc ,etc useless one the long therm , even Xiaomi , use everything in there builds from other brand , they have no knowledge of self builds , and seems not tomorrow that they will be able to make there own things , everything is copied , so yes beautiful phone but worthless , two weeks of working than it dies slowly , or have no updates , etc ,etc , **** builds

To tell you the truth I'm disappointed.. It gets stuck alot when I use few apps simultaneously..
I'm surprised to hear that. This is one of the fastest and smoothest phablets I've ever had. I'm a civil engineer and I even do minor dwg file editing when away from the office. Viber, Messenger, WhatsApp etc are always in the background as is Gmail, Office Lens, Chrome and Dropbox. Also, notifications keep storming in.
I really haven't seen such smoothness and speed since the 1+ 3T running the AEX ROM. Keep in mind that the 1+ had 50% more memory!
I've had my Ultra for 6 months, and it can handle anything I throw at it. It was good on Nougat, but better on Oreo. It games with the best of them, it handles multitasking like a breeze, and with a near stock interface, it runs hella fast.
RAM mangament should be better. On my previous Asus Zenfone 2 I can open more apps without reload. Mabye flash custom kernel and ROM will help. Except that - I am very satisfied.

Crapwiz. That's all I have to say.
Crap, laggy, ugly, what you want more?
worst skin you could ever have installed on your phone.
Touchwiz=**** OS
It's fine for me, but I know it's not the best and it's sometimes a bit laggy.
Crapwiz?
I'm ultra-late to comment to this...
Touchj**zed, plus it had a feature constantly annoyed me to 'clean phone' even having freed up more than 1 GB, 'coz Cheetah Mobile-baked app called Smart Manager. Also you've got only 40% (from 7.8GB) usable internal storage out from the box and easily fills up.
Thank God for custom ROMs!
I seriously hate Samsung Experience

I have deleted all the unnecessary apps(bloatware) works fantastic...m in love wid it
Honest review...
For the price, it's good... But the specs aren't as promising as they seem. So if you have a higher budget, don't go for vibe k5 plus
It's good for every day use. Have never had an issue. Only problem that I face is lagging issue while playing Dream league Soccer. Though there is no problem paying COC..

After using it for about three years, I also experienced some lags

Gaming in mi5 is worse

Im using Xiaomi mi5 for a long time. when i first downloaded PUBG mobile my expectations was high. But when i started playing the reality is worse. The game is lagging all the time in my phone. And still now i can't play a single match of PUBG mobile without lagging in my device. Though it has Snapdragon 820 chipset and 3 gb of ram but it can't handle this game. Why?? My friends are playing in there note 4x or other low end device smoothly. My rom is global stable 9.6 with latest update. And rom is totally free. But my ram performance is poor. I can use only 700-800 mb out of 3gb of ram!! The biggest question is what should i do now?? I used all the tricks and methods that are available in YouTube and Google. Should i go for Chinese rom?? Should i root my device and use custom rom?? What should i do for play PUBG mobile in my Xiaomi mi5 device without lagging and heat issues. Please suggest.... ??
Played Pubg moblie with RR oreo darkness
here's the link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1et7UJfSQlIuUvkGLlCst60sLgXEEuJ16/view
Getting 60fps with high setting with no lag whatsoever and ram management is also far superior for example I tried playing asphalt 9 and pubgM simultaneously and they both were in memory hope it helps you. if still don't want to flash custom ROM you can try GFX tool from play store to reduce the screen resolution and other graphics settings of the game without rooting your device.
I've been having this problem since the day PUBG released. Anyway, I've tried many ROMs and kernels with PUBG performance as the sole requirement. I've found that any custom ROM based on Oreo had serious battery drain issues. Only MIUI has acceptable battery on Oreo, but still unacceptable performance on PUBG. To overcome this issue I installed LOS 14.1 with MrMathematica's kernel. This is the only ROM and kernel combo I think is perfect for battery life, PUBG performance and overall stability. Can be used as daily driver definitely as well. This does give me better PUBG performance with less overheating than Oreo ROMs, but I wouldn't call it a major upgrade on the graphics front. I manage to get stable fps on smooth/medium settings for almost throughout the match. Overall fps stability and its duration is still much much better than MIUI Global. Hope this helps!

I also would like to point about the poor thermal management and throttling issue on Mi 5. Compared to a similar device (oneplus 3), the performance is worse on Mi5. My friend has a one plus 3 and Mi5 always feels inferior in PUBG to me.

Also, I wouldn't recommended using GFX Tool. I did see MAJOR improvement on using this, but that was short lived. Heating is the culprit here. Every time I used GFX Tool on the many different ROMs I tried, I invariably went back to using the stock game settings. Stable medium fps for longer is still better than high, fluctuating fps and overheating.

can u share me all the file needed sir? like los, kernel and anything. pm
Mi 5 not that worse
actually mi 5 not that worse like u think, that make lag every where when playing PUBG its thermal trothling from ROM its self, many rom make mi 5 temp keep cooling while playing game and that make for some game that need more performance become lag ( choppy ) . im just use MIU MS rom and do little trick with replace 2 file thermal config on system/vendor/etc with custom thermal file that someone here build on xda ( u can search on this forum about cust thermal throttle mi 5 ). u will get no lag for playing pubg with hdr and extreme mode ...but if u dont care about batterylife and want to know truely performance about mi 5 u can install cosmic os ... that rom will show u truely performance when playing hard graphic games
I found that it's quite important not to charge the phone at the same time and to remove the cover if you have any so that the phone can cool down better.
Also, The new MIUI 9.6.x.x is not very good...go back to 9.5.x.x until they come up with a good stable Oreo MIUI. The weekly Oreo seems much better at this moment.

Hello, I am from Russia and therefore I will use Google translator. I wanted to ask you about two files (config temperature) whether you can share them or throw off a link to the resource where they can be taken.
GFX tool
I am using the same device. I use PUBGFX+ tool and it runs great!!!

Heat fix or anything for redmi 4x?

I live in hot city in india. I have been experiencing alot of heat lately in back where CPU is located. It's always 40c battery as well as CPU both stays on 40c. Please let me know if there is some tweak to reduce heat. I dont do much gaming. I use it for chatting and watching videos mostly surfing YT or surfing internet. it makes me paranoid whenever it gets heat up i m always forced to keep it aside till it gets cool down. I am requesting to any developers here to make a tweak or make a kernel for users like me as it will be soo helpful for many people who dont like to feel heat while surfing on net. Please do look into it.
Also do tell me if there is a good rom. I dont care about latest android version or latest security patch all i want is i should be able to chat or surf without feeling that heat in my hand because it just ruins everything for me.
I am using official LOS 15.1 and am satisfied with it from a heat perspective.
The only time I maybe encounter unusual heating is when the NSA is hacking my phone to spy on me. *joke* What I then usually do is just to shut down my phone and leave it off for a couple of minutes.
You should look to update your firmware to the latest available Global version.
It is otherwise a good idea to reinstall your phone. You never know if you picked up some malware through dodgy apps that is causing the problem or if some apps are just rubbish.
I Use Xiaomi EU
No issues of heating except if you Play games.

Use kernel adiutor to tweak settings. Or use a custom thermal mod
Hey. Peeps! Thanks for kind response. I read all your suggestions! I m using Lineage OS latest official build. I dont do gaming its battery efficient also it has quick charge support, on ampere app readings says 1800ma. I m thinking of using MIUI now, i have used EU rom and trust me Lineage OS is better in terms of battery backup. Crdroid, umm, thanks @mcjohn, i will try this.

Read my last post ?
I do not recommend CrDroid.
It's an unstable ROM.
Wait for an update.
Yesterday I installed "COSP".
I do not know how behave !?

I actually tried it.. Not bad , not good. Lineage OS is the best currently. I m thinking of trying out pixel experience rom, i have seen people claiming it has good battery backup.
Btw, dont ever use miui official rom. It sucks the battery so quickly. -_- I m currently on stable miui global rom and trust me it has worst battery backup.

I installed several ROMs.
Everywhere, I posted my opinion on settings or battery!
"Somebody" criticized me because I was too subjective !
Try some software, then stop at the one you like.

I used the MIUI ROM when I bought the phone until I unlocked the boot charger. . . Then I install another ROM every month.
Or, maybe 2-3 ROMs per week !
Look at my pictures and see how the battery is consumed, how the phone heats up, or the settings that are missing from the menu.
