Fingerprint account - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions & Answers

Hello all,
Just wondering if there is anyway to create a different account base on the fingerprint.
Someone suggested kids mode but it does not work well.
I was wondering If there's an app that can do this. When ever my daughter gets on my phone and she puts in her fingerprint it opens up to her account without giving her access to my work email, apps, or work pictures.
Thank you

Phone was stolen

Hey guys... my phone was stolen... how can i UNLINK my GMAIL account?
thereĀ“s a way to do that? what others things i need to do?
thanks

best option would be to change your password through a PC and thus it will not connect anymore to the phone, as you would have a different password there.

Changing gmail password is the best way (probably only way at this point). Any passwords that the phone browser remembers would be good to change too.
For your next phone, look for some of the remote wipe/lock applications that are available, so that you can kill the phone remotely. Even better, some let you track it so you can find the person who has it!
My wife lost her Milestone, and we locked and tracked it... and then got it back!
Oh yeah, if you did online banking with it, better change banking passwords

[SOLVED] My Google account just vanished!

Earlier today when I switched on my phone and tried to access Market, I was asked to re-enter password. I entered two passwords I remembered and I couldn't log in. Then, I tried password recovery. I couldn't answer one call and I couldn't enter the proper recovery code in the second call.
Now, when I try to recovery password, I get an internal error message. All my Google profiles such as Google+ profile and Blogger profile are returning a not found error.
So, what just happened to my Google Account? Was it hacked and someone deleted it? Or, Google deleted it for some violation(without giving me any notice at all)?
How can I get in touch with Google and recover my account? This account is really important to me. I have a lot of stuff linked to it as well as my whole address book.
I was gonna tell you on G+ today. The form you made which I maintained is down as well.

Hmm yea. Looks like every service has gone down. My problem is I don't know if my account was compromised or it's a Google issue.
If my account was compromised and deleted, I have to act fast. Alternatively, if it's a Google issue, I can wait. The problem is that this account had so many of my important contacts, photos, 5000+ bookmarks, few years worth of email and so on. =(

Log in to your Google account from a PC and change password. Try phone again after this.
A couple days ago, I entered the Market and it told me that my account wasn't correct. It didn't allow me to do anything, or change my password. In a last ditch effort, I resynced the Google stuff. That fixed it. I'm not sure if I had the same problem, but you could try that and see what happens.

Coming to think of it, I think I must try that. However, I can't remember the exact password either. =(
Sounds less like somebody being 'hacked' to me than it does somebody having forgotten their Password and locking themselves out.

It says incorrect username and password. Going to recovery page gives an internal error message.
I have been locked out after forgetting password earlier as well but I was able to reset every time. Now, I can't reset either.
Give it a day or two, I was locked out from my phone once, seems an infectious spam mail tried sending out messages to my contacts but Google stopped it before it was able to execute a send function. I was restored after trying with my old pass the next day.

Internal error sounds like a problem their end. As above, try again later. Don't worry though, your account will still be there!

I was able to get to reset password page today. I couldn't reset it yet because the phone which had my SIM acted up and didn't let me read the text.
Nonetheless, this is my guess.
After a certain number of failed attempts to reset password, the password recovery option that was used is blocked for 24 hours. Since I had only one recovery method, it has given the error and locked out my account.

Wife forgot password anyway around it besides hard reset?

Phone is completely stock. Is there any utilities to get pass the lock screen password? Can the carrier unlock it or Samsung without wiping it out?
Thanks in advance.

Think I've read somewhere that's it's possible via adb, but you'd need usb debugging to have been previously enabled before you got locked out.
That's all I got as a possibility....

Thanks for the reply. Unless usb debugging is checked by default, I'm 99% sure she did not check it.

I don't see it happening I your case. It's kind of the whole reason behind a lock code. Factory reset is going to be your only hope.

I dont know if things have changed. but before if you kept failing. eventually It would ask you if you forgot your password. Then you would it would email your gmail mail account with a link and instructions to unlock your phone.

We've tried so many times and it hasn't prompted us forgot password questions.
I see under the stock recovery you can still side load through adb.

I thought I would post what I think was the problem in case someone else has the issue. I think it is Gmail verification feature. It maybe possible if you forget your phone password, you can use the Gmail email password to get in as mention on some of the post? AT&T also said she should be able to unlock phone with Gmail password. Details below.
Phone has been reset a few days from posting this. Good thing pictures are syncing with Google Drive.
I believe the problem why the password would not work is because of Google's verify feature on Gmail. For example when you go on to another computer and try to access your gmail, it will ask for a verification code and send you a text with the verification code. I believe this was the problem because once the phone was hard reset, the phone would not accept her Gmail account password. After diagnosing this issue, I decided to try to disable the verification feature on Gmail. Once it was disabled, I was able to get past the Gmail password issue.
To avoid from this happening again I put Androidlost which will allow me unlock the phone remotely. Great App especially being free. My wife doesn't want the phone rooted so this is the best solution for me plus I been using this App since the Galaxy S2 was released and never had an issue with the App. I actually had the app installed before she got locked out but never finish registering the phone, yeah that sucked. Lesson learned the hard way.
Thanks everyone who tried helping.
If u have linked your phone with android device manager you can simply change the password to whatever you want on android device manager on your desktop.

Bypass Exchange Security Settings on Note 5?

Hi guys,
I have a Note 3 at the moment and was able to bypass the exchange security settings using a custom ROM.
I'm buying a Note 5 and need to be able to bypass the exchange security settings on it as well. Just wondering how I can do this on the Note 5 with the least amount of stuffing around/customising my phone? I don't need any other fancy features at all - I really only use my phone for calls, messages, emails, Facebook and Snapchat.
Any help would be appreciated
Cheers
You're about to get lit up for posting in the wrong section

There is section called Q&A!
BUMP - just got a new Note 5 (in Australia).
Just wondering what the easiest method is to bypass exchange security? I'd like to keep my phone as stock as possible.
I heard the Nine app can bypass the settings but can't see anything online about this. I can see that it can make the PIN required for the app, rather than to unlock the phone altogether, but I want to get rid of the PIN/password altogether.
I don't mind using the Nine app, or normal Email app, I just want to keep the phone as stock as possible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks
Anyone?
In my company you get fired if you get caught circumventing exchange security... True of most companies in my industry.
So can't help you there. Would be a dumb way to get fired.
Just use Nine and put in the pin... It really isn't that big of an inconvenience.

You can use mailwise which has an option to bypass exchange security. Plus it's a decent mail app.

Thanks for this! Works well. I had quit putting exchange on my phone because I hated the security. I resigned to just using chrome and our corporate web email.
I already use a fingerprint security on my phone but Outlook admins disabled the use SmartLock which is an oversight in my opinion. They don't let SmartLock but do allow me to keep my phone unlocked for up to 30 minutes. So bypassing exchange security and using my thumbprint with SmartLock (when connected to my Moto 360) is more secure IMO.
As a side note Wanam Xposed module had exchange bypass though I haven't used it in forever so not sure if it still has it.
Thanks guys, I tried Mailwise and Nine and didn't like them - I want to use the stock app.
Looks like I'll have to root + xposed module. Just wondering if I'll still be able to use Snapchat if I do this?
Cheers

As long as you login to snapchat before installing xposed then you shouldn't have any problems.
Snapchat won't login if it detects xposed, but does not check for xposed after you've already logged in.

Thanks mate. WHat about when you update Snapchat and have to login again?
I had issues recently when I updated Snapchat and it checked for root and wouldn't let me log in. I had to use snapprefs to get around it which was a hassle....

Only way I'm aware of is uninstalling the xposed module and reinstalling it again. Which is probably even more of a hastle than snapprefs.

I was curious by this too, but unsure if someone would do. Unless I'm mistaken you'd need to log in to their account via your PC as part of the process is to connect via USB to commence the unlock. Plus your phone number would need to be associated with their account, which may mean they'd need to add yours and/or remove theirs to allow this.
Would be curious to see if this was possible but hey 2 weeks isn't tooooo long to wait I guess......well, I'm itching to root but all in good time
Good luck!

Are you 100% sure? I had an old miui account from ages ago and when I tried to unlock this new device it prompted an error that my number wasn't associated with the account. I had to add the number to my account, boot my phone back up and add my account to my device via developer settings etc.
Perhaps it's possible but indeed this was my experience!
Though just checking, maybe the account just needs a phone number, not necessarily the actual device phone number intended to be unlocked....

Has anyone successfully flashed the global ROM on a Chinese device? If so, does it add Google integration as if it were a Global device to begin with? Debating with myself on whether to wait for the blue Global version to come out and be available to those of us in the US, or just buy the Chinese version and flash it with the global ROM after the unlock waiting period.
I'm interested in this...
Mine is 5 years account and Mi 9 is global version, but it was 360 hours.
I want to test and build roms asap:crying:
I'm also interested in the instant unlocking. I have to wait 360 days... Any help?
Hello, unlocking the bootloader causes troubles with apps like Netflix, google pay or Amazon Prime? I want to unlock the bootloader to install the global beta but I'm worried about loosing Netflix services.
