I think what these guys are saying is true.
We do have a 528MHz processor.
But apparently the 528MHz Chip is not giving its full punch.
With these specs, the Diamond should be raising hell.
Not that I am not 100% satisfied with my gorgeous device but....
There is a lot of blame pointing to the 3D Drivers.
What you fellas think?
Greets.
Thanks for opening this topic but please try to rename it in something like "(Poor) Diamond graphics performance", it has more relevancy.

[Q] WP porting on android devices

http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_lumia_510_caught_on_camera_and_priced-news-4892.php
Take a look at the specs of the Incoming Lumia 510. I was thinking it's very similar to many android phones, like sony xperia Tipo and so on.( MSM7227A 800mhz, Adreno 200, 256Mìmb Ram - almost the same screen (800x480 pixel)
Maybe this could be a good occasion to port wp 7.5 on the Android Phones like tipo dual?
It'd possible or it's just my fantasy?
Cheers
Firstly the Lumia 510 is a WP7.5 device so this thread actually belongs in the WP7 section. Aside from that I don't believe we will see porting efforts to low end Android devices given that we have seen none to then High End Androids that also featured similar Hardware (Desire S, Desire HD, etc).

Ok...Hope it will come soon..anyway thanks man
I don't think the Desire C will be getting Jelly Bean...
"HTC stated devices with 512MB of RAM or less will not get Jelly Bean, which, translated, means anyone with a One V or Desire C will be left behind.
Of course, that doesn't mean further support and updates will be taken away from those phones entirely; just that those devices won't earn the latest Android OS."

You do know there's a possibility for custom roms, right?
If we all depended on manufacturers for the newest Android, we'd be dead now.

Hi brnt,
Yeah I know, but my Desire C struggles with ICS sometimes...I'm not sure it would cope with any version of Jelly Bean. No harm in trying I guess.

hey....compared to other phones htc desire c is smooth...dont u think?i am not getting that much problems
it can run jellybean ...cm 10.1 .....the hardware is more than capable enuf of running it....
cpu- 800Mhz
gpu-200Mhz
and as inclusion of project butter.....the gpu will do all the rendering of the ui....
cpu will utilised for the core processes and prog....
That involves getting the cpu overclocked to run that fast which in turn destroys battery life.

Hi sarath19,
Don't get me wrong the Desire C is a cool phone, most of the time it works great. For me it struggles when using and opening certain apps like Instagram, Pixlr-o-matic and a few others I use. Sometimes it crashes, but that's due to the apps being photographic apps that really push the Desire C's limited power.
I'm a photographer and I compared the screen quality side by side with the Nexus 4, considering the Nexus 4 is seen as one of the best screens around the difference when viewing high res dslr stills was not that great at all. The Nexus 4 images were very warm compared to the Desire C, people have been complaing about the Nexus 4 screen being yellow, added to the fact that the Desire C screen is quite cold and blue, you can see a difference in how it handles colours and tones...personally I prefered the more neutral to blue Desire C. Yes the sharpness of the Nexus 4 is better, but not by as much as you would think.
I like my Desire C, a better screen, more power and better AF camera would make it near perfect. I had decided to change it for a Nexus 4 but I've had so many problems from day one with that thing I've decided to keep my Desire C for longer...The Nexus 4 is packed away waiting for TNT to come and pick it up in a few days, it's caused me endless problems and I basically had enough and demanded a refund.
I'll see if I'm tempted by any new models in 2013.

not really 200mhz wont effect the battery life...may be say 2hours from total time....it will run easly for a day and half......and jellybean vanila without htc sense will run more smoothly and efficiently...
I personnally am using my desire c oc'ed at 756 mhz and i am not noticing any unusual drain in battery life

No need to overclock...
I've seen a couple of videos recently of a Jelly Bean based custom rom running on a HTC Wildfire S. Since the Desire C and the Wildfire S are similarly spec'd phones I don't see any problems running Jelly Bean on a Desire C.

In fact they are completly different architecture arm6 vs arm7, once the WiFi problem is solved desire c would be a better device for jellybean than the wildfire s because of limitations in the hardware, eg lack of official omx drivers and flash support.
The difference between the development of these 2 devices is developers, I came from the wildfire s forum and there were 2 great devs over there alquez who started development on that device with cm7, then modpunk who's an absolute genius, not only did he build and debug cm9/10 for the wildfire s but also helped many more devices along the way, we could really use someone with his skills round here.
Problem with this device is the lack of true fully fledged developers that actually own it, no disrespect to any of the Rom/kernel builders you all do a great job:beer:

thx bro for reply and iwill hit thanks button :good::fingers-crossed::angel:
The Htc is newer and it has better front camera, bigger screen.
ZR has more Ram 2 gb (htc - 1.5)
CPU is the same in bought so you will not notice difference in performance
I find the HTC more beautiful and the big screen is a win for me, but thats a pesonal taste.
You wont go wrong with either of them :fingers-crossed:
Had an ZR for an year (no exp.with HTC phones much),but it depends on what are you looking for.In terms of spec the HTC is way better, but bigger. The batt endurance will be quite the same. The pixel density of the HTC is abit lower. The 512 mb of ram difference is not a big deal at all.The HTC's CPU is newer and faster. It depends if you are gamer or not.You can see the differences in the GPU's too.Front camera of the HTC is way better too.+ it has stereo speakers which is a cool feature too.And lets dont forget about the Bravia engine and waterproofness of the ZR . You could see for yourself here - http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=5421&idPhone2=6073 Cheerz

We need development for a 64bit htc desire 510
