Hello, I have an AT&T S3 mini (SM-g730a model) that I bought unlocked (I am outside the US, so I need the unlock), I don't know the unlock method. I want to update my phone to KitKat (mainly to use chromecast mirroring) however I have two doubts.
1.- Since I bought the phone, a (root-requiring) app has been installed called RegionLock Away, I researched and it seems that this phone needs that to run outside of the US, so I would like to know if I can re-root the phone once I am on KitKat, if so, which method works?
2.- Is there any chance that my software is Sim-Unlocked by software or anything like that, and could get locked back to AT&T again once I update to KitKat?

Has anyone heard of using a comparable rooted 5.0.2 T-Mobile rom on at&t hardware or is it a locked bootloader thing preventing it? I'm unlocked on T-Mobile with at&t hardware but was wondering if it was possible.
Hi. i have just purchased an note 3 from a person who used to live in the us. the phone is at&t branded but open for all sim cards.
i have a coupple of problems,
1. i cant get norwegian language on the phone but i can get it on the keyboard.
2. the phone says that android 4.4.2 is the up to date firmware.
this is the sm-n900a version at&t
anything i can do? my norwegian note 3 has android 5.0 on it and all.
can i port this phone to note 5? that would be awsome
