Making multiple user profiles? - P8 Lite (2017) Discussion

I've had my P8 Lite 2017 for a few months now but I haven't figured out how to add multiple profiles to it. Online, it shows that in EMUI 5.0, there is a symbol by the quick settings where you can add new profiles but my phone doesn't have that icon. Any ideas as to how to add them?

Hello
On huawei p8 lite 2017 this option is disable if you want this option edit your build.prop for disable emui lite.

No auto-rotate on Home screen with Huawei P10

Hi there,
I'm a happy owner of a Huawei P10 from a month.
I commonly have been using Nova Launcher on my previous devices, because I love it and one features I like that is usually missing in other stock launcher, is to allow autorotation even in home screen.
Since with this P10 I like very much native launcher "Huawei Home" and I would like to keep and use it without third part apps, as far as I read from other forums and documentation, I should have "auto-rotate" switch in my Home configuration screen ...
Nevertheless, if I long press an empty area in home screen --> Settings, that entry is missing.
In the attached picture, you can see where it should be, but actually is not there.
Does it depends from other previous setting? What I'm doing wrong?
My Huawei P10 rom build (serial) is VTR-L09C55B130, EMUI 5.1, Android 7.0, Android Security Patch date: June 5th, 2017
Any suggestions will be very appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Gabo
I don't have it either in the 164 version.

Huawei P9 EMUI 5 Recent Apps Grid ?

Hello~
Recently I have updated mu Huawei P9 (EVA-L09) to Android 7, EMUI 5 (5.0.1) and if there is one thing I don't like about it, it's the recent apps view.
Previously on EMUI 4 it was nice grid-like which was scrolling from left to right nad to throw out app I had to swing up.
Now they screwed it up and made it like a stack which must be scrolled up-down and left-right swing closes the app.
Is there any way to change it to more grid-like like in EMUI 4?
I have access to TWRP, Magisk, root so no holding back here.
I have tried adding custom prop by Magisk
Code:
ro.recents.grid=true
but that didn't do the trick so far.
Any help will be welcome.
Thank you for advance and have a nice day.

Very large pull down / notification menu after update to Android 9.0 / EMUI 9

Hey guys,
I am using the default OS that comes with the Huawei P10, and my phone is not rooted.
After the update to Android 9.0 with EMUI9 the pull down menu (quick menu from notification bar) is unbearable large. It seems like there are different DPI settings for the pull down menu only.
I actually can not stand the large icons, so normally I change to DPI 430 and/or change the size of text/display in the display settings.
However, it seems this does not have any impact anymore on the pull down menu.
Does anyone experience the same and has any idea how to fix this?

It is same for me and unfortunately it is default setting. I didn't try to modify anything with root yet but i seriously doubt that it is even possible to do something like that.
Same here. The dpi wont stick. I hope its just a bug. Not some crappy implementation from huawei.

Motion Controls missing

I am trying to figure out where the motion controls are, where you can draw a C to launch the camera for instance. I asked Huawei twitter and they said
" Open Settings > Smart assistance > Motion control > Smart screenshot"
I go to settings, smart assistance, and there is NO motion control. I've googled it and a lot of others say that is the place to change it. I'm running the most current version EMUI 9.1.0.124 (C605E4R1P5), Model VOG-L29, 256 gig, 8 gig ram version
Any help would be awesome
Same here also looking for those :/
Some more info from Hauwei about this. Though I don't buy the reasoning because my P20 Pro could do this on Android 9
